Andrew Nicholson defies gravity - Burghley Horse Trials 2000
Переглядів 557 тис.12 років тому
Andrew Nicholson riding Mr Smiffy at Burghley in 2000, demonstrating just why he's known as Mr Stickability! They went on to go clear and win. This video is not mine, I found it and realised it wasn't on UA-cam so I have uploaded it as I really think everyone should see. I don't take any credit for it and will not be making any profit out of it's upload, I think the footage is originally Televi...

    WHAT A GREAT HORSE!!!! He/she not over miraculously recovered but held his neck tight enough to support the rider so he could stay on top & off the ground where he'd be disqualified! . . .and . . .Off they go!!!! Absolutely BRILLIANT! He/she deserves extra treats and lots of love!

    Both very fit, an honest horse not to drop his head and “Lady Luck” on his shoulder. I bet both felt the pull of that later in the day.

    Well, you can tell clearly, that both horse and rider wanted to fix the accident. The horse didn't want to lose the rider, even though he must have hurt his front legs. And the rider regained balance with each galopp jump.

    She was all in the horse's mouth coming up to the jump - see the horse throwing it's head up - and got thrown way out of the saddle - she ends up on the cantle - which is why is happened. Don't start bitching about 'let's see you do it better'. Just thought I'd comment for the people who can't see how it happened.

    • @swaggyswiss4295
      @swaggyswiss4295 10 років тому

      True, but it was a small whole to get the horse through

    • @GoldenLioness100
      @GoldenLioness100 10 років тому

      It is a narrow jump ... all the more reason to let the horse alone and let it do its job.

    • @ptbracing6578
      @ptbracing6578 6 років тому

      Golden I am not bitching about you but tbh I think she knows how to ride more than you not saying you can't ride but if she did let the horse go it would go too quickly towards the fence and end up tripping over it and ending up with a potentially fatal accident

    Now that's what you call responsible riding! She even took the horse back up and around so she could keep him focused on the next jump, rather than letting him possibly dent his confidence by riding straight at it after a near fall!
