Cooking dinner over the camp fire
I started a fire using a ferro rod and materials I found in the woods: birch bark and dried, rotted wood. Once the fire got going I used it to cook dinner on. I made butttered noodles with steak, broccoli and garlic but sadly I forgot to bring parmesan cheese.

Making a primitive shelter in the snow, plus bacon

Made my first ever primitive shelter. I used a small handsaw and a cheap hatchet but a similar version could be built using nothing but bare hands. It was actually really cozy inside and it held up very well in the light snow that fell over night.

A short camping trip I took back in January. Very windy weather. Dropped well below freezing at night. Cooked steak for a dinner over the fire in my trusty cast iron skillet.
Camping in an old stone shelter

I walked through the woods until I got to an old stone shelter at the top of a small mountain. I cooked standard ramen from a packet but threw in some beef jerky, sliced shallots, and chopped garlic. Best NYE celebration I've had in a while.

Nice little shelter you've built. Right size to allow you to sleep and basically stay warm enough to survive the night. So many time people build huge huts and than have to try and stay warm because the large hut is so much harder to heat... Thumbs Up!
