Holden Hardtail Huckfest ft. @PinkyFingerPedalStrike
Here is documentation of the first official Holden Hardtail Huckfest. Back in November I got a bunch of buddies together for a hardtail exclusive ride followed by a cookout. 'Twas a rowdy shred sesh that ensued and will most certainly happen again. Thankyou to everyone who came out!

Riding steep & loose trails in Washington with a couple of the boys. I was lucky enough to fly out there last summer and even luckier to have my friends (who live there) show me some SICK trails!

Riding Galbraith was so much fun! We started our ride from the Transition Outpost and rented a couple brand new bikes. The trails were amazing and we only rode a handful of what is there.

An Eventful Day At Highland Bike Park

I love riding at Highland, there are so many cool lines and trails to choose from. I'd been eying up the whale tail gap on Cat's Paw for a while and finally had a go at it. Can't wait for the next bikepark adventure.
Looking for MTB race lines!!!
Переглядів 994 роки тому
Trying to find the fastest lines at the bikepark. Due to the current pandemic situation there hasn't been a lot of racing going on, so I decided that looking for race lines on former enduro stages would be fun.

This was only my second time riding at Vietnam and I have to say it is pretty fun. If you love rock rolls and slabs there are plenty. There are also some cool jumps and drops, although we didn't get a chance to hit them. I hope you like the video and consider Subscribing. ✌🏼

I went back to Cascades, because it was so much fun last time. Although it was quite a bit hotter this time. I still got three runs in and about 10.6 miles. To say the least it was a great ride.

The best trails at Powder Ridge Bike Park
Переглядів 1,1 тис.4 роки тому
This is some footage I hade from a trip to Powder Ridge last summer. I was a bit sick that day so my dad took the GoPro. Even though I was sick, I still had a great time. It's kinda hard not to have a great time at Powder Ridge.

If you live in the Worcester area and are looking for places to ride, I would definitely recommend going here. If you spend the time look for the good trails and learn the lines, you will have a blast.

I needed to get out and ride my bike, so I messaged my buddy Matt and we met up at the trails after school. We only had a few hours of sun light but we still were able to get a few killer runs in. Leominster forest did not disappoint.

Attack of the chin strap!
Ya buddy. Wish I could have made it to that ride.
Definitely not the last one. Bet your butt you’re on the list for the next one.
this was an invitational though...
@@PinkyFingerPedalStrike I was invited to next years’!
i cant believe they shut this place down. great memories riding here for sure
Same here! To this day, one of my favorite places I’ve ridden my bike.
🔥we need more please. I don't know how Weegz stays on the bike 😅
Kid is on one! “Chill” ride and he still hangs it out there, sickest thing ever, I love it
What happened to the bike park?
i wish they would open it back up. was so much fun riding there growing up
I know this video is old and I know the mountain is no longer offering "a bike park" but do you if people climb up Enduro style and still ride the trails?
Not sure. That would be sick if they did allow that though.
@@roostcaboose interesting. I'll be visiting a friend in bethel this summer....I'll be asking questions😏
@@MrSEANDEERE keep me updated
🚲💨
That stretched out feeling if you pushed the front end a little more you'll get a better response out of the bike
It definitely would reward someone who is willing to push the front a bit more. I personally like to hang off the back of my bikes so it didn’t really suit my ride style. Still a sick bike though.
Kinda ride's like a mondraker
I’ve never ridden a Mondraker, but I bet you are right.
@@roostcaboose My mondraker had a extra long top tube and I found when I had mine that if I put my weight into the front wheel a little more than the rear on the corners it really took the corners well
Did it feel overbiked on Galby? Did you have to ride in a super forward aggressive position all the time? Just asking about the negatives I've heard, because I'm stoked on the idea of that bike.
I probably would have better suited on the Sentinel or Scout for Galby but I still had plenty of fun on the Spire. As for riding super aggressive and forward, I personally ride more rear ward on my bikes and don’t tend to change my “style” from bike to bike. If I had the time, I would have loved to try a size small.
🤘🤘
I was looking to get a Sentinel, and the bike store had a Spire in stock... so I decided to go for it and sell it later if I didn't like it. I've been really surprised at the versatility. Without even trying I smashed my Strava times for both climbing and descending vs. my very old 2013 26" 160mm Trek Slash which is 5lbs lighter than the Spire. Granted that's comparing against a very old bike, but considering the Spire is a pedal-able DH bike, the climbing efficiency is quite outstanding. I've subsequently sold by DH bike (a Giant Glory) as the Spire really can do everything. I'm 5'7" and the Medium is perfect (was worried it may be too big as I'm usually between sizes and go on the smaller side). This bike is generally overkill for most of the trails in the California Bay Area where I'm at, but it doesn't feel like I'm compromising. I've always been very slow at climbing, if there was a Strava award for slowest climber, I would be the winner. So that was my biggest concern -- I'm ok with being slow, but ideally don't want to make things even worse, as there are some longer loops where my legs just give out by the 2nd hour, and I'm having to walk a bunch... e.g. the Demo Flow trail in Santa Cruz, on my Trek Slash I've never been able to make that climb back to the parking lot without having to walk some of it. Surprisingly this improved my climbing times! I'm definitely not rocketing up the hill... but I'm not getting tired either, just keeping up a consistent pace as I work my way up. And for example that Demo Flow trail I mentioned earlier - with the Spire I've been able to ride the whole way back without stopping or walking. That's amazing for me! And on the down, on the occasion something intense comes up I feel very confident at just going for it. So yea, I've decided I'm going to keep it as my all purpose bike. As Roost mentions, it's a bit more extra work on extremely tight switchbacks due to the length, so I find I have to concentrate a bit more to work tight corners. Considering its size and travel, you'd think it'd be a big boring lumbering tank that you just point down -- but it feels surprisingly light and agile... I've heard people mention this in reviews, and found it to be true, if you really lean into it in an aggressive stance, something noticeable happens. It comes alive, like turning on the nitro, or like in Avatar when the Na'vi people of Pandora connect their hair to those flying dragon things.
What size did you get? How tall are you?
I chose a medium. I’m 5’ 9” or 175cm.
Does is feel plush like DH bike ?
No. It gives a lot of feedback from the trail. Which makes it easier to pop off small features or make a last minute pull for a gap. You could probably make it feel more plush by changing the shock to a coil.
Where’s this mans at I miss the vids 😂
Been busy with work, but I have some videos coming from my trip to Washington. So keep your eyes peeled.👀
Ow, I peeled my eyes
Nice vid, tracks look fun
Thanks. They have some pretty good trails there, considering how little elevation there is.🤘
@@roostcaboose you going to do the thunder mountain enduro?
@@BoonockADV I’m debating it. I like that race but it can be super gnarly so idk. Are you gonna do it?

How does it compare to Reign 29 and Hightower?
l-ll_ll`lGl2Y I can’t give you a good answer, because I haven’t ridden either of those bikes. What I can say is that the Troy is an awesome bike and I would highly recommend it.🤘🏻

This place looks really fun! It and Mtn Creek are both 1:30h away so I have never been here
You should check it out. It is very rocky, but a lot of fun. 🤙🏼
You hate uphills.
james siedlecki hahaha, yah, they’re definitely not my favorite, but you have to do them if you want to go down hill. Unless you’re at a bike park. 🤘🏻
So glad I found this video. Great content dude, you got a new sub. How does this compare to your Spartan? I already have a 130/120mm trail bike and looking for a second bike for some bigger all mountain days, enduro races and the occasional park day. I'm torn between the Spartan and Troy. Thanks man!
Parker thanks man. Both are awesome bikes, if you plan to do some long all mountain days the Ltd Troy would be great. If you are going to do more park laps the spartan is the one. Which ever one you do get I can tell you, you will not be disappointed. 🤘🏻🤙🏻
