WW&F Civil War: Kennebec Central #4
Переглядів 190Місяць тому
WW&F Railway Museum's steam engine #9 used to work for the Kennebec Central Railroad that was built for bringing passengers and coal to the National Soldiers Home in Togus. That home was build for Civil War veterans. The K.C.C didn't last long and when it closed #4 was sold to the WW&F as their number 9. Earlier this year WW&F 9 re-lettered her back to K.C.C 4 and had some Civil War re-enactors...

Very great to have a traditional return to Edaville once again next time could you film at the Railroad Crossing equipped with mini crossing bells I’ve yet to see the changes made to those signals if their gates are still yellow and black or if they’ve been repainted to black and white and these are very rare and unique signals with their distinctive gate mechanisms and specially shaped counterweights
I think that can be arranged. Thank you for watching
@@lanternlightproductions8922 Your very welcome

LOOK AT THE LITTLE GUY I absolutely adore it haha
the tank on the fire train looks a little small for poupous. might need a water tank car.
Hancock tank??? It was never named, weve always called it sheepscot tank. Even though its the replica of headtide.
My mistake. Thank you for correcting me
I thought they got rid of Thomas, but I'm glad this isn't the case

Etsie. Never heard of that nickname before. Is it like the Pennsylvania version of the Tweetsie Railroad in North Carolina?
I remember hearing it somewhere, I'll see where
I love how the microphone peaks, it’s like even modern mics can’t handle the sheer volume 2102 produces. I saw her today and my god easily the loudest steamer I’ve been next to and I’ve risen behind and watched 611
🚉🚉🚉🚉🚉🚉🚉
I really wish we could get 611 here. Could you imagine, the two strongest 4-8-4's together?
I’d prefer having 2100 up there for a T1 Doubleheader
@metraking192 agreed have a Reunion for the T-1s

Hey, I liked this video, but I want to give some constructive criticism if you don't mind. (I'm also a smaller channel and I've made these mistakes myself, but I also still learning so take this with a grain of salt) My first notice was dwelling on the shot of the 'S' curve at 5:38. Dwelling on these shots can really hurt attention and retention, but I'm guessing you want to keep the whistle audio in there so just be careful not to leave it too long. Second is try and keep the engine as the main subject of the scene in some shots. I like your idea of displaying people trackside in some shots, but in others, I feel that aiming the lens more toward the track could help, but I understand if it's a stylistic choice. Other than that, this is really promising and keep it up!
Thank you for the advice. I will consider it

What kind of 6 chime is that
It's a Boston and Maine 6 chime, sounds good!
@@trainern8 I know that’s a nice whistle
I remember visiting Edaville it was fun with Thomas it not the same without him
This place is so magical luke you're in another world. I remember going here as a kid back in the late 80s when it was Edaville Railroad.
Remember visiting Edaville 60 years ago (at that time the "Flying Yankee" was still on the premises). Delightful then and now -- nice to know they're going strong. Thanks for creating and sharing this.
Your welcome and thank you
I remember a few videos when 0-4-0 11 debuted in 2013 and doubleheaded with 0-6-0 21. However upon 11s debut she had a more shrill whistle. It was the most amazing shrill whistles I ever heard. I think 11 is tooting 21s whistle for now. I just hope any one of the 2 steam engines Edaville now owns will be equipped with that shrill whistle again. I’m also glad Edaville was saved again from closing its gates forever.
Agreed.
or just a crossing
can you post a video of #11 going through the entrance?
I didn't get any footage of 11 going over the crossing this trip. Next one I will.
