Yep probably the best way for PvE/AoE farming/grinding You can also go with 1. Ball Lightning at some distance so it travels for a few seconds 2. Lightning Strike before 1. hits (applies Shock for reduced Magic resist and Better Burn) 3. Hoarfrost + Cone of Cold before 1. hits so the Ball Lightning Shatters 4. Magma for the stronger burn (because Fuse from shock) After that Chain lightning on staggered enemies and use Circle and Beam when they are up Needs some quick inputs at the start but gives rly good dps

Ball Lightning + Blink works rly good Just some enemies have abilities that slow or speed them or just stand still like the bear which breaks this combo

As a Mage? For the groups here (and some other similar groups with no or only one elite) 3 or even 2 mages are enough, though a bards helps with shield and mana Just make sure you sync up the Ball Lightning and that everyone gets a shatter proc on the freeze from Hoarfrost + Cone of Cold and it should be enough even with bad gear Might need to finish the elite up afterwards Have a shield ready if you get hit, the CD doesn’t matter everything will be back up after looting and running to the next group

In Theory: Yes Hoarfrost chills enemies, Cone freezes chilled enemies. But if an enemy has immunity to Chill or Freeze that will break the combination Also there was a problem where you could cast them to fast in succession so the chill didn’t register yet on the enemies and therefore come didn’t freeze. That might have been a Phase 1 problem though didn’t run into it yet on P2

I dropped cone early as it activates where your character is facing instead of where your camera is pointed. Hoping they adjust it so it feels better

for sure! I think Intrepid said in their Bard + Spellbook preview that for the spellbook they wanted the visual focus on the book itself instead of the caster and they did a really good job at that

Yeah it does! But not only that but with the „Amplified Lightning Strike“ Skill upgrade the lightning also hits (and shatters) other nearby targets turning this somewhat into an aoe

A good spot where I regularly found one at lower levels is the top of a small hill on a line between the „2nd Sword Outpost“ and the „Agricultural Supply“ North of the Church of the Seven Stars as well as along the edge (from North to West) of the lake in the middle of Joeva The most consistent was to get bears and wolfs is to follow the riverbank north of the Ursine Caves counterclockwise on the side of the plateau. That way has enemies up to level 20 in the area so it’s tough when your still low level But at any spot wolves consistently spawn you might find one, the spawn times and rates aren’t that good so I’d advise to just travel around and you’ll find one (and get a feeling where the good spots are) instead of trying to force a spawn by killing a bunch of wolves
