Thanks for the review, how is the picture quality? Seems like they crammed 200 mins on each disc in seasons 16-20. Was going to buy the entire set but heard there is widespread freezing issues with the picture.

Hope there will also be a 4k from Queen at wembley 86 that would be great.

I got hit so hard. I asked my father for a cassette player for my car. And he said: "Well, 8 TRACK is what you're getting." But he got me a cassette player. And when I wanted to get my daughter a CD 📀 player for her car, she said: "You're behind the times. Just get me an iPhone." Sigh and shrugs. That's criminal to hate QUEEN. ROLLING STONES? I love their LIVE "Flashpoint" (1991) album. For the novelty, I would have liked an 8 TRACK of the ST for "Saturday Night Fever" (1977) even though I have the CD. 📀

Hi i just got season 1. Im trying to listen to the English opening song. I dont see the option. Am i missing something?

I remember seeing this on rental VHS back in the 80s when I was a teenager. It was a fun action movie, but not great. Had some good and bad bits, but I vaguely remember having a little crush on Teela at the time. I saw it again sometime in the 90s I think, but haven't seen it since. It would buy it on 4K if it ever got a proper restoration, to add to my collection of cult classics, but I'm not going out of my way just for a BD. Thanks for the review.

Fantastic movie. I have been a Ghost fan for quite some time. I seen the film in a theater in Edmonton, Canada. It was almost like being at a live show. There were fans dressed up for the show just like they do at a concert. It was very impressive. I give it 10 out of 10. I have been trying to get a copy of the 4k disk, but it seems to be sold out everywhere. I will keep on looking.

I seen the 7 hour Mourier version twice in Paris last summer, this was fabulous and much more coherent artistically. Despite being a longer version it seemed too short.

I have multiple versions of this film but nothing beats this Umbrella release. The film was certainly something.

I have _Napoleon_ in my blu-ray collection and I'm able to view it with my region-free blu-ray player. It's a magnificent film. I've met Kevin Brownlow several times and I asked him if he was going to have an American release of the film. He said no, as he does not have the North American rights to the it. I saw the film in its "Coppola version" at LA's Shrine Auditorium back in the early 1980s. I enjoyed then but found out later that it was heavily abridged. Also, Carmine Coppola's score is (at least in my opinion) inferior to the one by Carl Davis.

I got it is it really 4:3 because when I look at it it still looks like it's cropped a bit is it exactly like the original?

That box is nice! I just got the Blu-ray 4 K of Rogue One. Same great packaging.

In the future, if you do a 4k/Blu-Ray combo pack, please mention if the Blu-Ray is new. If it is the same old one there is no reason for the majority of viewers to rebuy it. Thanks

Thanks for the review. You forgot about The Roaring Twenties with Bogey and Cagney which thankfully is in 4K as well. As far as I can recall this makes four 4K movies he's in with hopefully more on the horizon.

Scorsese remarked that every composition in this movie is like a painting. He's not wrong. Warner Bros knocked it out the park.

Dude, it's Crusin' 1965. It's one albums in the Crusin series. I read someplace that it's supposed to be somewhat of a recreation of a radio broadcast that dealt with top 40.

In 1981, Francis Ford Coppola spearheaded a nationwide tour of a restored Napoleon. It played in theatres with a full orchestra and a new score by Coppola's father Carmine. I feel very fortunate I was able to see it. I wouldn't mind checking out a 7 hour cut if one becomes available.

There are no alternate takes on the box set. The 26 bonus tracks are single sides, almost all in mono. But that makes the set incredible as it has the complete UK catalog on it.

Does the English dub keep the English intro and outro songs or does it use the Japanese versions?

To me, it’s my top three movie of the year and the reason why is they went back to what alien is all about science fiction horror at his finest and the 4k transfer looks amazing

I didn't even know there was a 5 and remake. 😂 The first one is so fucking good! 2 and 3 are awesome too, 3 was a bit over done! 😂

If one wants to delve into early Hitchcock, by all means check out his later films first. The only films I really enjoyed in this set were Blackmail, Murder!, and Rich and Strange. Having seen all available Hitchcock films that haven't been lost, I would always recommend seeing all the silent films, but after seeing all the sound films.

I have this 4k version, and at times it seems to me that the sound when they are speaking doesn’t line up with the visuals of their mouths!

What a strange region B thing that only gives you a warning and then just plays the disc anyway. Thanks for continuing to test. I have this player and it's nice to know it can play a large number of region locked discs.

Nice unboxing video, bro. This movie was my most anticipated of 2024. I’m gonna buy it for sure but I’m still deciding if I’ll buy the 4K disc OR just the 4K digital copy.

Im not a fan of this transfer. Ive had this movie in my collection in its various formats for over 40 years, and I feel the 4K is the worst. My main gripe being how dark and grey Hoth show scenes now look. Also, HiDef has shown up the flaws in some of sfx. The chsnges tonthe movie made in 97 that vex me are the dislogue re-dubs. Boba's voice by the actor from the prequels does not compare to the original voice. The dialogue from the Emperor makes little sense. The worst change for me though, is when Luke has escaped Vader, and we see Vader walking towards the screen. He used to say with anger "BRING MY SHUTTLE!!" Now we get something like..., "Inform my shuttle of my arrival, and have a sandwich and a glass of lemonade waiting for me!" Its so f@ckung lame. Then they insert a clip of his arrival on his Star Destroyer, ripped from ROTJ. Slowing down the pace of Falcon escape scene. Again, so F@CKING LAME!!

I was born in 1987, so I caught Pee-Wee's Playhouse through VHS rentals at Blockbuster. I finally got to watch the entire series thanks to Rhino's 2 volume complete series DVD set. The Shout Factory release was amazing. I also missed out on the 2014 release but recently acquired this re-release. Worth the purchase, glad to have it in my Pee-Wee collection, along with his Big Adventure

Both the Howard Hawks original and the Brian DePalma remake are both great films and in their own ways provide a unique take on the story/source material. You can make a similar comparison to The Thing from Another World (which Hawks is also allegedly to have directed though uncredited) with the John Carpenter remake of The Thing. Again, both versions are arguably great, and all four films provide a good study in how movies/cinema have changed over the decades. (Note the upgrade in violence/gore/special effects/musical score work in the modern versions, not to mention the change for B&W to color) One can only imagine the reaction to the DePalma/Carpenter versions if they were released at the the time of the Hawks versions. Audiences of that bygone era would most likely be shocked and disgusted. Indeed, modern audiences originally did not care for the remakes at first. (I being a fan of DePalma and Carpenter loved them both when they first came out)) Eventually it took years for both the modern versions of Scarface and the Thing to achieve Cult status despite their low Box Office performances upon initial release.

This is definitely a classic . I remember renting this movie on VHS when it came out in 1985.. if you grew up in the 80s, everybody would know about this movie. I loved it then and I still love it today.

Absolutely disgusting! Definition is correct but they have forgotten HDR .. blue is missing especially on dagobah . This transfer is even worse than the New hope 😢

I just bought the 820. I have some dvd’s that are region 1(ntsc). I get the message «This disc may not be played in your region». Anything I can do about this?
