you know how WB let Snyder do his version of Justice League and called it "Zack Snyder's Justice League" and it was 4 hours long and released on HBO Max? Disney should let Trevorrow do his Episode 9 cut and they should called it "Star Wars Episode 9.5: Duel of The Fates" or "Trevorrow's Episode 9" because THIS is the TRUE Episode 9.
Lucasfilm make this version right now lol.
Somehow Ambrams returned... That would've been a more suitable line to express the tone of The Rise Of Skywalker than somehow Palpatine returned, even though its not hard to find a better line than either of those bc All they had to do was use this script lol
How does this v7⁷ideo not have million nof views? It definitely deseret considerǰingwhat we got with the rise of skywalker.
We were robbed, this would have been a much better finale. Especially Finn actually having a character arc, starting a revolution. I know Carrie died, but they could have said (in the opening crawl) Leia died from her injuries (being in space), and had Mon Mothma took her place. A few things would need to be changed (have Luke's ghost convince Kylo to spare Rey) but anything's better than writing the story around extra scraps of Leia footage from ep7. Anything's better than "They fly now" and "Somehow Palpatine returned" and Emperor killing himself with his own lightning. Unbelievable that they just tossed this great script in the bin, even if they didn't want Colin to direct.
ergo she in her grey outfit :3

Somehow...we got garbage instead of this...
Agreed but at least we still got this. Usually these things never see the light of day unfortunately.
Ngl I think my most surprisingly satisfying moment here was C-3P0 finally listening to R2 and becoming independent enough to go against his programming. Like he's finally been "alive" with no memory wipes for long enough to think for himself instead of just doing what he's told.
I never knew I could care about Rose so much until watching this.
Man... I know it would never happen, but the script DID have a ten year in-universe time jump. The actors are young enough... they could still make it 😅
1:40:06/2:46:11 Wish we got them instand of the Sith Trooper Yeah the red ones are cool but silver is cooler
I'm just gonna say it. Just because this is *slightly* more entertaining than the Rise of Skywalker, does not make it good or a proper finale to the sequel trilogy lmao. I think most of yall are blinded by the hate towards Episode 9 that you can't see how this is almost as shitty.
cadê as legendas???
Soon of course we’ll see numerous feature length AI “live action” style treatments. Then fanfic versions with varying elements, including of course the OT leads teaming up somehow. Eventually there will be an online vote for the officially best unofficial version. Then there will be SE versions with updated effects, including a VR version. Then an interactive choose your own story version. Then people and sentient robot fans will keep making new original versions until the end of the world as we know it. I await all versions eagerly until all memory of Jar Jar Abrams’ steaming pile is completely erased from my mind. (Or an affordable, prisoner-tested AI neurological upgrade device can do such things on demand. )
That. Was. Epic! Of course even if Disney went with this version they would have cut a lot out to squeeze-in more theater screenings per day.
Better than what we got, but still nothing special.
honestly this is my headcanon now
Day
I wonder if Trevorrow has seen this.
This one follows the initial direction they had for Kylo. He was supposed to be this anti-Vader, who starts as conflicted like Vader is in ROTJ, but ends as devoded darksider like Vader is in ANH. His redemption at the end is forced an unnecessary because of that, he should have died a villan in this script.
yes i prefer this script really it's so cool
This is also bad with cool ideas
Would have been far better than 7 and 8 but still worse than any of the Lucas saga.
Some of this (particularly the 1st act) is better than what we got-- but i hate that the middle of the film is a fetch quest and i dont like the poe/rey romance
It's crazy how good this is. If this was ever made in live action or a what if star wars animations, they can rival zack Snyder's justice league of beating the original version
It's not perfect, but man it's so much more satisfying and a better conclusion to one of the best Star Wars movies, The Last Jedi. Well done.
2:05:30 Well, Kylo’s Out Of Luck There, Because His Mother Leia Became Rey’s New Master After Luke Died And Leia Gave Rey Formal Jedi Training For Over A Year And Leia Taught Rey Well
The only thing that i didnt like was Rey and Poe romance...it doesnt make sense
This is a damn masterpiece. I love TROS. It was a satisfying endof the Skywalker saga, at least for me. HOWEVER....... this, wow, this is what we really wanted. Now, I feel we were robbed. Folks, this had me bawling. Beautiful, absolutely beautiful story.
yes i think the same thing
They had a plan all along, J.J Abrams, Rian Johnson, Colin Trevorrow
The first becoming a true empire without the help of the finale order, kylo ren becoming like vader is perfect, hux trying to be a force user, brute troopers? Now this is good star wars to the trash we got in the rise of Skywalker. Duel of the fates is the superior script.
Someone needs to Animated this.
Proboly would be a colloal project over 2 hours long
@@vukmijatovic i think star wars can make a what if like marvel in animation for example "what if palpatine never return in star wars 9 and kylo ren is the big bad vilain of the movie" please disney make this :(
I will say one thing. The dialogs are on very good level. BTW who is the voice of Tor Valum. Sounds great.
Glad you're enjoying it! Tor Valum is voiced by Greg LeGros: www.imdb.com/name/nm1616876/
I like the story, but I can understand why disney refused it. I think it focuses to little on the impact that ray and kylos fight has on the victory of the resistance. I personaly like the less mistic side of starwars, but it makes it less starwars like. Still would perfere this over the actual episode 9 we got, as it continues and finishes the caracter arcs better. But I can't understand where the rey Poe part is coming from.

Man oh man. Finally just watched this. Thank you for putting this all together like this. I know this is based on a draft version of the script, but even so… with a little punch up, this would have been bonkers good! I’m stunned. So many awesome moments that honestly has me welling up and laughing out loud. Kylo sacrificing for Rey was my only true gripe here, but that could have been taken care of by the acting and a couple of minor additions. The rest of the ending though… beautiful and personal and it felt earned.
1/2/24 7:02pm cst, earth, the milky way galaxy *sup, future kelan* 😎
This is awesome! Do you have discord? I'd love to work!
So kind of you to say! I'm not working on any video projects at the moment, but I will check you out on Discord.
Someone needs to make this for real

I think since they didn’t use this if they do a part 10 they should bring torr valem into play in episode 10 because that was very interesting. He’s like the yoda of the sith.
I never thought I’d say this about a sequel script, but I’m impressed. I’m probably the only one who thinks that the rise of Skywalker was the best sequel movie, but I like this one a lot more. Just to be clear, I liked episode 9 because it didn’t just rehash the original movies and didn’t completely ruin the characters. So it makes since why I appreciate this one even more, because whoever wrote this clearly cared about the characters and tried to save them, Finn and Hux especially. The story felt more or less unique, although I wish they came up with so,e new planets to make it feel more original. I also think it’s awesome that this story took some inspiration from Legends, with the Eclipse and a smuggler alliance similar to Talon Karrde’s(anyone else catch the Wild Karrde behind the Lady Luck?). Overall, definitely the best Disney sequel story I’ve heard so far, although it still has nothing on George Lucas’s masterpieces.
In a way, that wasn't entirely dissimilar to the film version. Transfer Coruscant and Mortis for Exegol. The conflict within Kylo Ren. The hodge-podge of rebel ships showing up for the final confrontation. Rey nearly died in the film version to resurrect Palpatine ... Perhaps that is the "Star Wars" lesson? Allowing the light and dark sides to co-exist, and therein you will find balance? 🤔🤩
This? This is what they rejected? Were they really that stupid?
The sequel trilogy wasnt real star wars because no one lost a limb.
This should have been what Episode IX was
Was perfect, but I would have made finn a jedi and poe a jedi and a young darth sidious clone should of fought them all at mortis, and they should of destroyed him there 🤔
