Volvo XC90 moonroof sunroof not opening issue fix
The way to fix the XC90 moonroof and sunroof not opening problem.
There are two positions on the switch when you press down. Half way and then all the way, position one and position two.
The sensor/actuator needs to be reset.
Hold down the switch half way to position one, hold this for 40-45 seconds. Keep holding it because the system will reset itself, do not let it go until it has completed.
So basically:
Hold down the switch half way.
Wait 40 seconds.
Watch the moonroof and sunroof reset itself.
Release the switch.
Hopefully this fixes your issue.

Does it keep happening? All the time mine is xc90 21
Will try after my work will update
Did it work?
Going to try this tomorrow. Mine opens and closes fine, just not automatically now. Hoping this works! Otherwise ill be calling the dealer 😅
Hi! I did the same procedure but lost the automatic too. Did you fix it?
@danielgache1208 it fixed mine. I tried it a couple times and it did nothing. I ended up waiting a couple days before trying again, and then it worked!
@@tylerharvey8299 thank you! Mine just has the shade go forwards and backwards like 3 times and then stops, doesn’t initiate the whole process. Everything works normally though. I’ll give it another day or two and try again, hopefully there is no need to go to dealer and have a software reset.
Queer eye for the AR enhanced lower parts guy
Not sure if it was mentioned bit if you use the set screw for the rear takedown, you have to cut a length off the spring thats equal to the length of the set screw. Hope that helps anyone that comes across this
The reason BCM didn't include a set screw for the rear takedown pin spring/detent is because most AR's don't have a set screw there. It's held down by the receiver end plate.
Technically I think you’d could just install without the screw in the traditional way, and it would be fine. I haven’t tried it though so I can’t say for sure
@@TheOVprodigy You can. I did so on my stripped Aero 5.56 lower.
Air -o not area-o
Bru god damn it, i watched it all the way until the rear catch pin to discover im fked by bcm since they cant provide a damn screw!!! Lol

On my Sharps Bros HellBreaker lower receiver, they say i need to cut down the length of the rear takedown detent spring equal to the length of the set screw, id hate to do this if it isnt needed, but it says if i dont the spring will over compress inside the receiver. ideas?
I just posted a comment and then scrolled down a little bit to see yours lmao. It's 100% neseccary. If you have anything that can be used as a snip such as wire cutters or a pair of pliers with a wire cutter under the jaw, all you have to do is set the screw up to the spring and mark the spring (I used a red sharpie so I didn't over cut) and just snip the end off. If you notice in this guys video, when he checks the rear takedown lever for function, it's mega chunky and you can hear a dirty grinding noise. I did it on my non-M4E1 aero lower and it works flawlessly. You could also just ditch the screw and try to fight the spring against the end plate but I found that the set screw option is one of the most useful upgrades to be added to a lower
Wayne, I'm glad you did this video! I've been looking into getting the Aero M4E1 lower but wasn't sure it would fit with the BCM pistol grip. I'm talking about how the m4E1 has the trigger guard and the BCM pistol grip has the extended lip. you said it wasn't flush but it looks like it'll work just fine for me. Thanks again! I subscribed!
What is price of this kit

I don't have access to any machining tools or I'd have got an 80% lower. As it is, I had to order a "stripped lower" and start there. Without access to any of the tools used by genuine gunsmithing experts, I wasted time developing work-a-round solutions. But ended up with a perfectly good lower. Decided to just buy a completed upper. From the same company that built my lower. So now have a perfectly good, operational rifle. Don't use it much. It's in storage for that future period of great need that's a lot closer then most of us think!
What the fuck lol. NEVER do this with your trigger.
Bro how are you going to let your Hammer fire into your brand new lower like that. Put your finger in the way. Hammer is steel, lower aluminum. At best you will break your bolt catch
Calm down
@@frankzappa9148 firing your Hammer into your lower is pleb
As soon as I saw him do that I went straight to the comment section 😂
that hammer smacking the lower hurt to watch
Awesome video, just ordered the same set screw set. I will be building one soon.
Rim fire through a sealed can🤦🏻♂️
I just wanted to see how it sounded. It was a pain to clean though, had to use a bristle brush attached to a drill that was sized just right for the can.
Thats amazing. It sounds like a nail gun

I love 💕 mine and so does my lil one
