is it much easier to remove case from differential to get to the bushing, than to remove whole differential and other parts?

I would much rather do this on my 89 Mercedes 190e. One of the rear fenders is damaged, and one of the front is damaged. I’d love an all steel flared, raised panel for, that’s sexy wide stance, without having to cut and paste a whole bunch of plastic body panels Like the EVO‘s. Any ideas?

I think that the bushing was put in reverse. The notch in the bushing should point towards the front of the car, not sure how much this matters, just something to note. Otherwise this is way better than dropping the diff completely. Thanks!

I have a 2008 X3 and didnt need a lift to remove the 16mm bolts. The one behind the bushing was difficult but not impossible. Use the socket between the bushing and the bracket like he stated in the video in order to gain clearance. I couldnt remove the inspection cover but will go back it tomorrow when I have more daylight. Maybe my dead blow hammer is too cheap.
