2015 F-150 with Forscan using an OBDLink MX
Переглядів 38 тис.8 років тому
Going through Forscan on my F-150.
This is happening to mine as we list a 02 Chevy Silverado and I’ve done some stuff to it my self to fix the issue took it to my local mechanic twice and still the same issue like wtf
I had to change the thermostat on my 2000 gmc sierra
Did you get it fixed?
210 is normal right
Does your clutch fan still kick on in the motor I don't hear it ngl that might be your issue
Heater core
This is what happened to my Silverado 2006 2500HD. Changed water pump and thermostat. After that, at idle it gets to 215 and when driving or pressing on the gas pedal, it goes to 190. Found that tensioner pulley can begin giving out if retracted several times and cause less tension on pulleys. On my buddies truck, when changing the thermostat and water pump, the belt we found was covered with oil and antifreeze. After cleaning the belt it held nicer and without slipping and temp improved.
Awesome, Thank You.
Thats normal...its a smartass video...all you internet mechanics fall for all the time
Try changing your coolant your temperature sensor that's all I can really think of that's pretty hot
I just got my 2015 F150XLT and I really needed to see this. I'm an IT guy so I don't need any help with connection or BT vs Wi-Fi (yay huh), but I just didn't know what software you were using . Did the odb2 device come with software? I'm assuming so . But yeah thx for the video.
Do an oil change replace the radiator boom
Clutch fan prob.
My 04 Tahoe is running extremely Hot like this also. It's running at temp 209, how do I get it down to 109?? I'm scared to keep driving it.
That’s how they are mine is the same. They have like a delay to turn the fans on. What I do when the needle passes 210 I turn the a/c and the fan turns on right away
210 is normal if running stock thermostat etc this video is pointless
So what’s the solution
Mine sits right on the 210 line in the center too.. is that overheating?
No.
That's normal
Has anybody found the solution my truck started doing this ?
Yes, Emily I've been a mechanic for 30 years now. The Best way to fix this problem would be to put a 20lb bag of ice on top of your engine before starting it. Works great.
This is perfect temps no idea why anyone thinks it's bad.. lol how do y'all not know 185 to 220 is considered perfect temp for engine?
Bruhh😂😂@@daveharmon8674
My 06 is doing the exact same thing, but has not gone over 210. What was the issue?
Did u ever find out the solution? My 06 silverado is doing it
@@BenDover-mw9pb I changed my top temperature sensor
Normal
210 is perfect
210 is Perfect. You see that Red line that's when you worry. ✌️🇺🇸👊
Stepper motor was bad in the cluster
Really? I'm thinking that might be what's causing my 04 not to reset im monitors so that I can pass inspection
My 04 is doing this exact thing.
Lol at that temp it might just need an air filter
Worthless info
Will the mx work with forscan to make pats keys?
Can you please show how to turn "Dark Mode" on/off? This mode keeps the interior lights from coming on when opening your doors unless you manually turn them on yourself from the inside.
Can this be accomplished with this USB ELM? www.amazon.com/dp/B01F0GVBWY
I have same problem on 03 Chevrolet suburban did figure out problems
What was the problem with it
Jonathan Gollin he lied what a jackass 😂. but mine overheating right now but when I drive it gets normal not sure if it was cause I put to much coolant a few days ago im gonna take some out and leave it at specs
Read your owner's manual... 210-220 is normal operating temperature. 250 can also occur when towing or driving up a steep grade.. 260+ you will get an engine overheating warning and your motor will lose power as it's a fail safe to protect your engine from damage. This video is pointless.
@@saitamawarrior3315 that's what iwas told with these engines....its a 6.0 not a 4 cy cylinder lol
I’m having a similar problem with my 05 GMC Sierra 6.6 dura Max Alison trans. Can anyone help
That’s hardly overheating.....
OMG this is the most helpful video I have ever found on UA-cam, thanks for posting.
😂😂😂😂
Figure out the issue??
Ever figure out the issue?
Guys I need Help... I did everything just fine with ForScan but now the audio, phone and voice pad on the steering wheel doesn’t work... I disabled it as a mistake... please help me OUT .. I searched everywhere on forscan but couldn’t get it
Hi do you know if you can reset the immobiliser with forscan
If i get the bluetooth elm327 do i still need to download the driver for it?
Looks like a useful piece of software. Bonus is it sounds like he is saying foreskin.
highrzr I just lost my mind reading that. That was great, I'm still dying
Thanks man!
Can you do a video on how you added the seat heating/cooling buttons to the screen? ...or just tell me here? I also want to know how to get the side mirror spotlights to stay on above 5mph..of you know.
Great video! Do you know if there is an option to enable factory navigation in Forscan? I have a 2015 F150 Sport that doesn't have navigation and don't want to have to pay an arm and a leg to get it....Thanks!
Brandon Carswell need to buy a card. I picked one up on Amazon for $70. A7 is the latest
jesus..navy really is a rip off
Nice video buddy
can you send me the model # of the OBDLink MX Bluetooth for a windows 10 PC
I have a 15 Lariat with ac& heated seated. if i installed platinum seat that have massage feature can this be added to the nav screen. (Im under the impression that all the modules are under the new seat Platinum that have the massage seat)
how did you get it to connect?
ps. THE CAR IS ON FIRE!
