I tried to bake egg and sugar free Arabic cookies Maamoul that tastes so good at home in London. The recipe was quite simple to make with basic few ingredients; Here I used yeast and dates instead of eggs and sugar to make them sweet . Sultanahmet and Taksim are very expensive as they are full of tourists - slightly out and you get better quality food (albeit not as spicy) and definitely better prices.... It is true that an average meal has gone up from £4-7 to £10-13 in the last 2 years
