I thought he was going to start off skating switch and fail, but come close to landing the tricks, then start skating normal and then just start annihilating the student. Either way, good video; band is always the most fun class. Also, this teacher definitely listens to ska and punk.
There was a special ed teacher who started a skate club in my highschool. Dude barely skated, but his much younger kids skated. Its monumental the memories i have because of that guy.
I petitioned for skating as a school sport in highschool, other schools in my area were attending an indoor skatepark nearby. I got knocked back time and time again, and had a whole heap of issues with wanting to attend school at all. If we brought our boards to school they were generally confiscated and left in side office all day because flat ground skating was banned in the quad... The contrast here is remarkable. They are some lucky kids.
Mad props to this teacher. Connection with the students is key, regardless of what they're teaching. It's not so much about being the "cool" teacher either. Just finding a connection with them and getting them engaged is key. Well done.
Yeah honestly. The ones I remember are the ones who seemed to really care about us in some personal way like talking to us about random shit or just having fun. I feel I remember most my profs from college because a lot of them talked to us and not just taught. One of the best ones I had taught me an important life lesson of asking why and figuring out why something works the way it does. Once you do, you can find other ways of doing it, better ways, or even ways to fix issues related to it.
man , mad respect to teach and everybody here, this brought everyone together ! when i was in school, skateboards were outright banned and forbidden to have on school property period, because the negative connotation they had, as in the 70s, 80s and most of the 90s skateboarding was stereotype associated with ''delinquency'' and troublemakers''. but yes , people still skated to school and hid them somewhere during school lol.
My local priest landed a kickflip with my own skateboard. He is not my priest anymore now he is my god. Edit: Oh btw i have a video of it since I wouldn't believe it either. He is even wearing the work uniform full black with the white clerical collar. Awesome.
My socials teacher used to be able to nollie inward heel
this is funny. reminds me about School of Rock, before the principal walks in they stash it away and pretend like nothing happened Lol
That teacher needs to tighten his trucks
We need more teachers like this!
Coolest teacher ever!!! 🤘🏽
He almost landed varial flip, he was good at it :)
the teacher has a youth shelter deck, wonder if this is somewhere in MN
The downside is they now require all teachers to master heelflips before setting foot in the classroom.
Not gonna lie that heelflip from the teacher was unexpected and pretty clean. Can tell he used to skate when he was younger.
