I always suggest this for everyone who works on these sorts of mods; I'd suggest burrowing out a circular area around the cut and the drilled hole so that the joint sits a lot more flush. That's what I did for the custom of one of my OCs and it turned out really nicely. ^-^

Nice job on the canon height of your Amy Rose figure. Now she’s shorter than Sonic yet taller than Tails. (Out of curiosity, what brand of drill did you utilize for Amy’s boots and neck?)

I feel the problem is less Amy being too tall but a lot of the other characters are too small, like shadow.
