they decided to stop paying me, withholding quite a bit of money and try to send me across the country a day before i was meant to be home. kept trying to put me in nasty, unsanitary trucks. many labor and occupational health violations about. absolutely horrendous employer. recruiting also lied about specific, direct, objective questions i asked before showing up in udaho. STAY AWAY!

If your brides from Mich. come on down and drive gravel train. Good money,Great benefits and home every night. Best part paid by the hour. Starting guys out in the $30 per hour range. I’d did 20 years on the road and 22 in mixers and train. Retired now. First time you get a check for every hour you work you’ll never go back on the road. No money in it.

Companies do not pay enough for OTR...good luck

Also, if you have truck go tell these big companies you will move trailers around for them at $90 an hour to get foot in door. Lots pay $1000 per 8 hours…

I have been over the road for 4 1/2 years now and given what I’ve learned about local trucking. I would be careful with that as well because they tend to want to max out your 14 hours every day, especially in the big cities and if you are home for six or seven hours a day what’s the real point? You’re home but too tired to spend time with your family. I had a factory job that was like that once it literally burnt me to the ground……

ive always loved watching your journey at Leonards! even though both of us are no more at Leonards i feel the time spent there i will cherish and im sure you will too. i appreciate everything you put into this! i recently picked up my cdl and decided to give concrete a shot. its not for everyone but it does keep you local! i hope you continue the channel wherever it takes you!
