I post content expressing my opinions about Pop Culture!
How I would REMAKE the MCU
This is part 1 of a multiple part series
I’m technically a Comic Book UA-camr now, and I have somehow not talked about really any MCU movies. So, let’s start big and do a video where I describe how exactly I would redo the MCU if I had to go back in time and do it. Yes, we’re going to go through the entire history of the MCU and discuss what changes I would have done to not only fix the many mistakes that Marvel made with this universe, but I will also future proof it to the best of my ability
I thought about doing it where they have all of their IP from the start, but if i’m being honest, the stuff that people expect to change with that, for me, don’t. I’ll talk about it in literally 30 seconds but all I'm saying is that it wouldn’t change anything for me and also provides an interesting challenge for the sake of the content.
But, I am a youtuber of the people, so If you guys want me to do a video about how I would ACTUALLY reboot the MCU from where it is right now with all of the previous movies having existed, please comment
thumbnail and concept is pretty heavily inspired by The Black Lion, i hope i did a decent job

Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer was SHOCKING [Reboot Review]
Переглядів 1,6 тис.5 місяців тому
Fantastic Four 2005 was pretty solid, it definitely feels like an early 2000’s movie in the way they treated their female lead. Which bothered me, but overall it was a wholesome movie about a family of superheroes being there for each other. A few years later they released a sequel and it seems to be seen as… bad. @@oscilao this series was intended to be a trilogy... We don't actually know what the series would have become. This was the first movie
@the trilogy was this, batman v superman, and justice league. even if you ignore justice league because of all the drama, this movie AND batman v superman are TERRIBLE at depicting superman. that’s my point
@@oscilao they were continuations of the verse, but they were not intended to be part of the man of steel trilogy
@ where does anybody say this? this feels like it’s just not true. they didnt want to make a man of steel 2 until recently and then that got turned into james gunn’s new superman movie. i can’t find anything saying it was supposed to be a seperate trilogy but even still. this movie is not a good superman movie on its own, a trilogy wouldn’t work because the origin fundamentally doesn’t work at it’s core seperate of its connection to anything else
Maybe it isn't the greatest thing ever, but it's way better than any other live action Superman. Some people say they like the Christopher Reeve films but I find them unwatchably cheesy. And Margot Kidder as Lois Lane completely pulls me out. Kidder is the human version of waking up from being passed out at a party and grabbing a leftover mystery drink and realizing too late someone dumped an ashtray into it. But Amy Adams? I would lick her clean from head to toe after a sweaty workout If she wanted.
Tbh I enjoy MoS for what it is. I think it's a decent example of a darker superhero movie, but it's not a good Superman movie. Personally, I'm really looking forward to James Gunn's Superman movie more than anything.

Your pfp peoves you aren't being subjective lol
This happens with all kinds of things. A handful of people get obsessed with this or that media presentation that bolsters their egos somehow. It's not about how good it is. It's about how good it makes them feel about themselves, and therefore, anyone not liking it is not okay. It's perceived as a personal attack. On them. By you. Which it's not. That's crazy. And that's how online fandom is, a lot of the time. Not all of the time. Obviously there's been countless takes on Superman since his debut in Action Comics #1. There are more of them all the time--nobody can keep up with all of the comics and videogames and straight to video cartoons. Big Budget live action adaptations are relatively rare. So when one of those comes along, people get excited, and honestly, since Christopher Reeve's first movie came out (before online fandom was a thing), they have mostly been very divisive. Even the latter films with Reeve were divisive. Then came the attempt to somehow extend the Reeve franchise without Reeve--weird--and did not work. Then an attempt at a total reboot with Cavill. Which pretty much threw all past Superman continuity away. It's about as far from the comics as you can get. Without making Superman evil. Which has been done, of course. Literally anything you can imagine has been done. Not in a big budget movie. To argue this was a traditional approach is headscratchingly wrong. Snyder was trying to take total control of the character. And he failed. But the people who got obsesed with it now think of that as the baseline version. They think of Cavill as the only actor who can play Superman (which I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to do anymore). They are so under the influence of Zack Snyder (who openly manipulates them, who doesn't want an insane cult posse?), they tried to sabotage the opening of Godzilla vs. Kong. At his behest. I mean, Godzilla is not a superhero franchise. And those movies are also released by Warner Brothers. How do they think this is helping anything? I didn't think Man of Steel was the worst thing I ever saw. Overall, I think Superman Returns was worse as a Superman movie. Because none of it made any sense. At all. But people didn't get so hung up on that, and since there was just one movie, no serious cult following gathered around it. Snyder controlled the whole DCEU for years, and he worked hard at building that following, and making the fans think of him as The Man. Then he wasn't. And they went really really insane. Honestly, Man of Steel was good compared to Batman V. Superman and either version of Justice League. It kept getting worse. I'm very excited about the DCU Superman. It looks like a very enjoyable film. But if it's the best thing ever, I won't be attacking people for not liking it. If there are no more movies after it, I won't be sending hate mail to WB. I sure as hell won't be trying to make people believe other summer movies are bad, so they won't go see them. I'll just go see it. If I like it, maybe I'll go again. That's about it. But yes, your review of Man of Steel is totally fair, and matter of fact. It's a very badly written film. The cinematography is kind of ugly. The acting isn't terrible, but none of the performances resonate emotionally, in spite of so many talented actors in the cast. And the problem is this. Zack Snyder thinks of himself as A Great Cinematic Artist. He has ever since he made 300, and got good reviews for what I still think is an absurd racist piece of crap that totally distorts history, but it was a hit, and he's been riding off it ever since. He thinks the darker he makes the material, the more artistic it is, and he will finally be lauded as the genius he thinks he is. Even though that is never happening for anyone who ever makes any kind of film like this. James Gunn knows very well nobody is ever going to say he's Akira Freakin' Kurosawa. He just wants to tell a good story. And I look forward to seeing him do that. He actually LIKES THE COMICS. And honestly? I think Snyder despises them. He feels like he's elevating the material. And he's dragging it down with him.
I keep hearing this from Snyder fans that they never cared about Superman until Man of Steel. That tells me they don’t understand or even care about the character of Superman and they only like the Snyder version. How media portrays these characters are important.
@@studio96films65 it’s not wrong to like a character after seeing a piece of media about them, but i think that saying that character is the only acceptable version of them is so wrong and I do not listen to those people’s opinions about superman.
The best way for Jonathan Kent to die is by cancer because it teaches Clark that no matter how many powers he has, he can’t save everyone he loves
The tornado scene could’ve worked if Clark saved Johnathan but then gets a heart attack immediately after they get to safety.
Small revision. If a creator makes the world believable and consistent than you will accept some ideas that may be a little silly or be a little off, because the rest is so solid. It’s not the creator SAYING it, but MAKING it. Many fail to make it believable and only say it is so, and that is when audiences become unsatisfied.
Except Batman v Superman Ultimate Edition is one of the best superhero movies ever made. And just because a lot of you missed the point doesn’t mean it’s a bad movie. It just means you missed the point.
@@Men_of_Tomorrow i think you’re fine to think that, but trust me, i didn’t miss the point. I just think it’s a bad point
@ Ironically I didn’t mean you in that last sentence, I meant the general movie goer who hopped onto the hate wagon and smashed it because it was the thing to do. Though, it does seem you’re pretty set in your opinion. I’d invite you to watch the ultimate edition if you haven’t; I know people who spat venom at that movie and changed their minds entirely upon watching the later cut. The theatrical cut was completely butchered to the point that it became nonsensical. I’m not saying Snyder’s a god or even that he’s made a lot of good movies, but I am saying it’s pretty unfair for a movie to have been panned the way that one was when the original version didn’t get the chance to come out first. And I stand by what I said - a lot of people missed the point Snyder tried to make, which was that if superpowered beings actually existed in our world there would massive, catastrophic consequences and not a bunch of people in tights making jokes and quips all the time. Many movie goers didn’t like that because it was a bucket of cold water compared to Marvel’s safer, more kid friendly way of doing things. And I like Marvel and think what they did was good.. at first anyway. Thor Ragnarok is where it all went to shit for me. Too many jokes. Too many quips. In my opinion, a balance ought to be struck between suspending disbelief and retaining realism for a superhero movie to nail it these days. I think Snyder pulled off that balance, but I get it, a lot of people disagree with me and they’re entitled to.
I like Man of Steel but I also realize that it's not the most accurate portrayal of Superman. Man of Steel to me shows as a cynical Society how we would react to someone like Superman all of a sudden showing up so I like it from that perspective but I'm also looking forward to James Gunn's take cuz it seems more fantasy comic bookie which totally works as well. Also if you're looking to buy a good sound system Man of Steel is a good demo disc LOL
@@MJWP2334 lol i’ll be sure to use this movie when i’m testing audio equipment
Not only Man of Steel isn't very good, Henry Cavill is a wooden actor at best and I cannot understand the appeal. He's just handsome.

@@StareachValcin it is a really good superman movie, too bad they never made a third and fourth movie :(
Superman 78 was and still is a great Superman movie that respects the character and what he stands for.
@@StareachValcin it really does love the character
This movie us d to be my favorite in the series, Now it switches between the first one and this one. Right now i like the first one better because i feel like it's more epic and comic accurate then the others even if it has its problems. I like the second one because it's not an origin story and it's nore action packed. What I don't like is Superman becoming human for like 2 scenes just so he can't fight zod. I wish there was more scenes with him being human learning to deal with being weaker than he's used to. A wasted opportunity in my opinion. Besides that there Good movies.
@@dylanbottom4669 for sure, i feel like the creators of these movies were in an era where they weren’t confident in changing the status quo, so they end up more so suggesting things for superman to deal with while not actually engaging in those ideas themselves. Although I do think the stuff they touch on and do are really fun and feel very superman like.
I liked it so there.
@@grahamparr3933 hell yeah! what’s your favorite part, i personally LOVE general zods character, i think it’s near what i would want out of his character in any superman movie
The Richard Donner Cut is not "basically the same." Aside from some goofy 2006 digital effects, it's a FAR better film than Lester's version. Donner's footage, shot gorgeously by the great Geoffrey Unsworth, gives us a much more dynamic sequel: Zod's escape is a direct result of Superman's actions in the first film. Lois throws herself out the Daily Planet to test Clark's identity in the FIRST scene. Marlon Brando returns as Jor-El and completes the "son becomes the father" prophecy that was established in the first film. Lois shooting Clark with a blank is WAY more fun than the stupid bear rug. Zod and his henchmen are less goofy; he even brandishes a gun in the White House scene. No nonsensical fight in the Fortress of Solitude. Superman finally kisses Lois then DESTROYS the Fortress, all before reversing time and being the only character affected by the story. He literally resets the status quo, lol. Such a great blend of verisimilitude and camp. Hope you enjoy these films even more in the future.
@@nicholasperl i said the way lois gets clarks identity in this movie isn’t too far off that it changes my point as to why i think it’s better than my adventures with superman
I was around for the Man of Steel wars. If people are acting like the movie was well received at the time they are not being honest. The film was very divisive at best. It led to a whole slew of video essays, including "Regarding Clark" bu Max Landis, in my opinion the best analysis of the film and the character of Superman.

Snyder wrongly played Superman as if it was a grim Dark Knight tale instead of the 1978 hero.

"Zack Synder should never have his own movie franchise" this is so true, that old hack has a 14 years old edgelord brain who can't think of anything else but to shoehorn SX scenes, jesus symbolisms and slow motions in all his movies lol It's always the studio's fault but in fact he is the MAIN reason why the DCEU failed lol Just look at his so called cinematic universes Army of the Dead and Rebel Moon, all DEAD lol Just shows you how much of a hack he is....all style and no substance. @@oscilao fair criticism, after all they could have had Clark be the way he is in terms of being "bumbling" and a "clutz" but overall, the way they handled the entire mythos was perfect.
@oscilao there always will be. What's important is that there is some attempt to actually adapt the character to the media. Man of steel adapted what Snyder thought of as a cool character but he didn't adapt superman
While I think there is some genuinely good intentions and advices in that video, maybe the tone is what may put off people you try to convince/help. I played competitive fighting games quite a lot in my life, and what a good friend told me once was the following "a fight is a discusssion. Every move is either a statement, a question, or an answer. It is up to the player to find out what move fill what role, and some can have multiple ones". And this is where agree with your take. That said I don't think game are popular because they are fair. That is not true, like at all. First, fairness/justice is highly subjective. Second, Every games have flaws, and the game you chose to keep playing exist for two reasons: 1/ you are fine with thoses flaws, you accepted it, and came at peace with it 2/ you like the global aestethic of the game. And that's pretty much it. If you don't acustomed to the flaws, you will move toward another game, because there are many to play, and I played many off them. And if you are disgusted by the global aesthetic of a game, you will move to another game, because you can't spend years of your life behind a screen that depict something that profoundly disgust you. Thank you for the video.
Oswald Cobb isn’t a bad name change . Cobblepot implied a different heritage (British, lineage of wealthy, etc) which is not the point of Oswald Cobb, who is rising up the ranks and doesn’t have the benefits of comic Cobblepot. This is showing Gotham through the eyes of Penguin. The show is still solid without Batman throughout the film, it shows how the problems affects the people on the street and more of the crime family and how Penguin rises up to power. Not having or mentioning Batman doesn’t take away from how good this show is.
@@michealmahmoud6391 that’s a fine opinion to have about it, but i think that the show is inherently about gotham city, and doesn’t feel like gotham because of the lack of impact that batman has had.
also the problem with the name change is the reasoning. they didn’t want it to be cobb because it feels less royal, they wanted to change it because it wasn’t grounded and realistic and sounded too comic booky

Not giving a show more than 7/10 because Batman is not it (which wasn't even the point) is beyond ridiculous.
@PhilipMertens the point is that the show doesn’t feel like it’s in gotham or apart of the world it’s trying to build, because it doesn’t feel like batman exists at all. i think i said like 2 or 3 times that the show would be worse if batman was IN it.
The show is called the penguin, it's about the penguin, there is no need to show batman. I am sure we will get an explanation for where was batman in the batman 2 that is why the last bat signal is so powerful.
@@tyata.1999 i never said batman should be in it or shown, i actively said the opposite
I’m one of few who do not like this show, Batman or no Batman. The writing is poor and the plot lines for each episode get more and more absurd and ridiculous. Cap that off with Oswald’s bizzare Mommy lust and this show just doesn’t cut it. I could give plenty more examples but this would turn into five paragraphs. 6/10.

@PhilipMertens he’s not. batman and the penguin do not have a relationship in THIS story, i’m sure in the movie it will be great, but this isn’t the movie. this character is not a batman villain, he’s a Sophia Gigante villain

@@srottfaen i wish they made a movie where The Penguin was a main villain though, he’s always a secondary character. although this penguin doesn’t really have anything to do for an entire movie since he is too “grounded” and most The Penguin schemes are too interesting for this universe
@@oscilaohe basically was the main villain in Batman returns
@@slade6959 eh, he was kind of secondary to the original character it felt like to me
yo its because zack snyder is an objectivist libertarian. like if u dont know what that is , let me tell u one of its tenants " selfishness is a virtue" ... kinda makes sense why Pa Kent would entertain the idea of letting kids die for their privacy ,right? why superman doesn't save anyone and when he does its the trolly problem .
@@ji_ji_ is this a confirmed thing? if so that’s crazy. he also said recently that a batman who doesnt kill isnt effective so i think that says a lot
also his fans are just other objective libertarians ayn rand messed their brains up with atlas shrugged like theyre not fans of his cinema , theyre fans of his weirdo anarchic a-historical messaging
@@oscilao yes ,Zack Snyder has talked on Joe Rogan about his admiration for Ayn Rand’s work (favorite author i believe). Its also all over his filmography- Looking at any of his original movies through the lens of objectivism , it aligns almost perfectly. And when he tries to adapt a movie , he forces his views in and that progressively gotten worse the more people praise him. The hyper violent and oppressive for no reason authority figures in both rebel moon ,sucker punch and his animated show ( yes he has one of those). Why he can't understand someone just being nice unconditionally and reasons that they must be jesus - because trying to explain unconditional love to an objectivist is llike trying to explain a perpetual motion machine to a dog.
He also grew up in a household that was part of the Christian Science cult, and Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah by Richard Bach was a big influence on him.
@@ji_ji_ Thats what I always say, this Hack is a troubled man, honestly someone who constantly forcefully depicting SX violence (and awkward Sx scenes) in his movies, I dont think he is a nice person in real life, no matter what his fans said, and to not do anything when his toxic fans went on to send death threat to his fellow filmmakers, that says a lot about him as a person. Im glad the Synderverse is dead, and hopefully Zack's career too.
People who think Superman is “boring” and “lame” didn’t change their minds after seeing Snyder’s interpretation of the character. If anything, they got a reinforcement of that belief.
Honestly. I Never read supes comics before watching snyderman. So i thought that is what supes is and after reading the comics yeah no the comics are fun. The movie was boring as HELL.
I agree. This movie was very, very boring.
having nostalgia for these absolute garbage films is just sad.
@@zoltanz288 it makes sense if you saw it growing up and loved it, the only reason I don’t is because I thought they made Superman look boring as fuck
@@oscilaoeven as an 11 year old child i hated it as much if not more than I do now for them bastardizing my favorite character. That being said it was far better than BvS because they somehow made it even worse.
This is a good version of the character
@@Aidn04Media you’re free to think that, but i disagree! and we all live in this world where we can have different strong opinions about a superhero movie and coexist and be friends
@@oscilao fair and respectable, love the video btw keep it up man
I would love to have you review The Batman just like you did this video
@@halloweenfan8792 I am working on a The Penguin review next, then afterwards i’ll probably make one on The Batman
I respectfully disagree with this video the best way the get better at league is spamming games and getting “game sense”. You can say “make safe plays” but he doesn’t know what a safe play is he’s silver. People have been playing this game for 14 years and he is higher rank than some people that have played that long. You are also explaining basic mechanics which ONLY get better spamming games. I also don’t think post game reviews are even good for him cuz he doesn’t know what he’s looking for or at. All that being said he’s not getting out of gold if even there gold is the gate keeper rank. -washed up d4 player
@@joshlove3295 i think telling a guy who plays fighting games things that he can lab out is good advice, game sense is fine but if you’re learning the wrong thing then you’re not getting a sense of anything valuable. also my post game review advice was saying “it’s good for content, but speed it up so you can “spam” more game.”
@@oscilao every game of league is different you have to know what every champ does and when they are strong. Sure someone can tell you that but you are not going to remember it. It has to become muscle memory. The fighting game comparison isn’t good it’s a 5v5 game of strategy. fighting games are a game of reaction and memory vs 1 person/character. League has those elements sure, but what it all comes down to knowing what your goal in the game is at all time. the flow chart part is good at explaining that but it all has to do with matchups in lanes and your jungle.the best way to climb is if you lose ,in silver, it’s your fault. People make mistakes every second of the game. You need to make less. I haven’t watched him in 2 weeks or so. so maybe he’s gotten better but he isn’t hitting plat in a month unless he plays 15+ games a day. Im just saying my thoughts on climbing in general.
Nice video :) It's refreshing to hear someone talk about Ludwig's grind in a positive way. I'm not any good at League, but I have experience grinding FPS games at a mid-high level, and a lot of the same things apply when it comes to approaching improvement in the game. Too many people act like doomers when they watch Ludwig play, but I think he is actually improving at an above average pace compared to most people.
@@dubbinofyoutube he’s doing surprisingly well, i think of all the points in my video. the only thing that i think he’s actually bad about is trying to IGL too much, but I think that he will hit plat and deadass… maybe diamond… by christmas, if not new years
The ending is lukewarm in my opinion
Singed my man got a gappy ending!
well, until ionia probably...
I hate it when people say this season was bad or mid. Like it objectively isnt. Sure you can say that somethings didnt make sense, the ending sucked, the show was rushed etc, but your straight up just ignoring like everything else that was good about s2. You could consider the animation alone, forget about every other aspect of the show and this season of arcane would still be goated
completely agree, i felt the exact same
In my opinion they could have used another episode to flesh stuff out. It all seemed rushed
@@ThePablo79135 i think they should have done 4 episodes per act
@@oscilao or maybe just have four episodes in the final act so they can make the finale feel less rushed and give the characters and the audience a bit more of a sound conclusion
@ every act was said to be “rushed” also they like having the synergy across acts. so having an extra episode per act could give them a lot more time to fully set up a lot more and still keep their pattern thing that they like to do for some reason
Ikr? Like, everything was good until suddenly Vi forgot about self preservation when she was on that ledge after seeing Warwick (which looks very different from when he still was sorta Vander btw) and Jinx (who had somewhat gotten over her suicidal tendencies) had to swoop in and it led to her sacrificing herself. That whole part didn’t all make sense to me
right? I think it would be much better, if when Vi is holding Jinx and Vander... either Vander got his memories for the last time and let go, or Jinx and Vi managing to shake him off, and essentially "letting go of the past" moment
I know where you’re coming from but think about it this way, jinx started being powder again and by doing so the whole show comes full circle. Lemme explain. At the start of the show you see powder trying to protect vi and it ended up in her being abandoned but because they worked together( they had a redo like jinx said to vi) powder finally got to do things better. She saved vi and it was sad but majestic. Everything they did in the show came full circle and it’s amazing
@@LionTagIt is amazing, cannot argue with that. I think I need a few days to process
@@BloomyAmy btw I’m almost 85% jinx is alive but faking her death meant that vi would stop trying to protect her and vi can actually go and live her own life.. I’d like to think that Caitlyn figured that out in the last scene
Jinx had to fall cuz they're setting up an excuse to bridge the gap between the League canon lore and arcane lore. *CONTEXT:* Rito said that Arcane is its own thing, and isn't part of League lore canon. When they saw how fast, and big of a traction it got, and how successful it became, they made it canon..despite the glaring plot holes, like Caitlyn's rival C (suspected to be Camille, her great grand aunt), and where's Renata?? Also, Swain didn't got his demon crow powers 'til after he tried to invade Ionia, and failed. Swain got bodied by a 14 year old Irelia.
@@Flavorless13 yeah, either they walk it back or they just change the order of things in canon, hextech does still exist btw so the rest of the pilt/zaun cast aren’t fully decanonized
Camille and Caitlyn aren't related though, the grand niece is the head of the Ferros clan. But yes, a bunch of champs would have to be changed, Singed included since he's the one who made the chamical weapons used by Noxus in Ionia. We'd also have to say goodbye to Blitzcrank since Viktor's not around to build him anymore. Riot should absolutely backtrack and admit that Arcane isn't the MAIN canon, just another AU of Ruenterra.
