It Linhasita wax cording. I got it from Etsy.

That’s really cool. I strung mine over 48 years ago. I’m not really afraid to restring them, it’s just one of my very first pieces of jewelry I made, and I just hate taking it apart. It’s still in really good shape.

There’s a lot of different ways to make these sliding knots. I’ve made hundreds of these bracelets, and this technique seems to work really well. Thanks for the tip though… I may have to try a new way and see how it works.

@@tappingflamingo That's what I like about youtube vides, learning new ways to do things. be it crafts or something else. I've picked up several new crochet stitches, and it's always fun. Is that cord anything like the Omega thread?

@@QChord4Fun no… I actually used wax cording also known as Linhasita cording. This cording has a layer of wax on it, which makes it waterproof and durable. Unless it has beads or charm on it. It’s 100% waterproof and perfect if you want to wear it to the beach or swimming or you could even take a shower in it. You never really have to take it off.

Thank you! We all had a really nice time. As far as the necklaces went, we all wore then all weekend, and still have them on. We showered with them on, went to the beach and they still look really nice. Have not had the opportunity to go to the pool, so not sure about that.
