There are official Audiobooks for the series as well. Audiobooks are up to vol 19 at the moment. You are not alone my friend. My ranking for the most overrated SW content: 1. Rogue One 2. Rogue One 3. Rogue One Last. Still Rogue One At least there is a consensus on the fact that the sequel trilogy movies are all terrible made by disney. But as for Rogue One all I ever hear is instant praise from fans and some people even consider it to be one of the best Star Wars films in the franchise. The first time I watched Rogue One I fell asleep half-way through. Second time watching it, got through the whole movie and liked very little about it. I thought the writing was lazy, pacing was a snails pace, character development were poorly executed, and they overloaded the movie with heavy fan-service. Then many years later, I watched it again at an event which showed the uncut version. Still did not like it any better and questioned why so many SW fans overhype it to no end. And yes, I get what they were trying to accomplish by having a tie-in movie with the Original trilogy which I loved. But everything was poorly executed and in the end it felt like watching paint dry for 1-half of the movie due to the terrible pacing and bland storyline. As for the other half, it was just random fan-service scenes cashing in on the original SW nostalgia. If I wanted to watch SW film purely for fan-service, I would’ve just watched a fan film or attend a SW convention.
