Normal yeah. MV Agusta is a beautiful second bike. Parts are hard to obtain but made with amazing quality.

Saw your review video and was going to comment but then saw this. Had a buddy with the same year F4R have a valve snap right before the valve service. Love MV Agusta but will never own them until they make them more reliable.

Damn, sorry to hear you are having issues with it. I only just found your channel and I am loving the mods you were DIY'ing to your bike. I am fairly handy but like you said there is little to zero instructions out there for these bikes so you really have to make it up as you go along. I have a 2012 F4R (it was a mid between the F41000R and the F4RR that has the crank of the RR in it but a lower engine tune) and mine has caused me some headaches. I often threaten to sell it but I never do. I should have been decapitated in a T-bone crash in 2012 and used my insurance money to buy the MV so it's almost an heirloom for me now. I guess one day i'll drain all the fluids and mount it on a wall in my house.

Did you ever own a 2010 F4R Grey color?

I'm torn between getting a 999 Ducati or an earlier MV F4 (i prefer the clean fairings without the sculpting that came later). I'm into bikes purely for aesthetics, I have cars for the really fast stuff. The MVs are drop dead gorgeous, it's just a matter of choosing betwen a Twin or a Four. Thanks for this insight and advice on cooling, as both Ducatis and MVs suffer from this issue...

As I‘m thinking of buying one myself, I have one further question, keeping in mind your thoughts on washing and water in general: I live in rainy Berlin and will probably have the MV under a tarpaulin. Would you think this might cause regular issues? For my current CBR 600 RR as well as an old Moto Guzzi I have, no issue at all. Also, have you ever encountered rain? Any issues here? Did you get in tough with ProItalia in Glendale? They're the closest MV shop to me. Also, have you tried any Web sites for shops in Italy? It's not just MV, though. Ducati and Aprilia are lagging on getting replacement parts out from the factory. Mv supposedly signed a deal with KTM to distribute bikes and parts through KTM's US dealers, but I haven't seen any improvement. (FYI, I'm waiting on a replacement ECU for my F4, so I feel your pain).

Yes it's sad to hear that, I also know few owners in India who are within the warranty period for their bikes but MV is not helping them cuz they've pulled out of the Indian market completely. A bigger problem is that they're not even getting any parts anymore. Nevertheless I think it's the right decision to fix and enjoy the F4 coz they are rare and deserve owners who care despite these pitfalls. Simply put, these bikes need a brave owner!

I been wondering whats been going on with your F4 man. Sucks to hear MV is being that way with the warranty. Its good you got the parts but when there is a warranty, they should honor that. Hope the merge with KTM helps with everything. But hope you get F4 back soon. & that superveloce 1000 i want it soo bad.

Thanks for you vídeo man, very helpful, I owned a 2006 f4 and was a nightmare eventually sold it with a bigg loss, but this is my dream bike, so I have one who is selling me a 2013 f4 with low miles and I'm thinking of buying it. Problem I'm afraid of the colling sistem there are no good mechanics or agents in here and África is freaking hot. Maybe I'll ride on the winters only and summer keep it in my living room as a show piece 🤣

You should do the oil reservoir running 2 stroke into the engine and full synthetic in the car is a game changer. I am going on almost 100k miles and my 8 still has amazing compression and she starts right up and runs great. Another big help in my opinion would be to run a lighter flywheel and a better clutch. Those where the best mods I did to my car to make her run smoother.

I like it. I got the black dampers. I think the carbon looks good but it maybe overkill. But they look good well done. I was checking out the hoods online. The Rx 8 hood is aluminum and is the lightest you can get. But the trunk is worth swapping out for sure.

If you drive faster, it will get less hot

I'd be mindful of what gas you're putting in your F4, I only put non-ethanol Shell V-Power 93 or Aarco 93 in mine because ethanol will corrode your fuel pump man

Not sure how your motor is doing, but there is a guy by the name of Bruce Meyers in New Hampshire who builds all MV Agusta motors and Ducati motors. Bruce used to be the head of MV Agusta for USA And is also in the AMA hall of fame for building Ducati’s race motors. If you want his contact information let me know. I have a 2018 MV Agusta F4RR.

Damn, man, one thing after another, but the good part is that they will get fixed is what matters. Its temporary & they both will be back before you know. & i agree, italian bikes have soul & character. I will get another japanese bike for messing around with, but i am forever sticking with italian/euro bikes.
