It looks to be an orchid cactus of some variety possibly a fish bone cactus but I’m not positive

Female orchid UA-camrs seem to go missing. They go to orchid shows, then disappear. What’s going on with that?

Orchid judges look at several aspects of a particular plant to give it an award, the type you have is not just some random offspring. Would be worthy spending some time looking into these things, this hobby started a long time before you and I existed so theres a lot of things to learn.

How can you tell that it is a virus as opposed to a bacteria?

Our dogs also come running when they hear packaging! Dtps. stands for doritaenopsis, it's a hybrid between a phalaenopsis and a doritis, although these days they are all considered phalaenopsis. I think you might have identified this plant for me! Does your dtps smell kinda smoky? I have one just like it, and i knew it had to be a hyvrid with phalaenopsis venosa, cause the venosa smells kinda smoky too!

I think that repot phaleonopsis has enough roots to recover ok. Be careful not to knock it over😀. You could put some holes in the pot and insert a bamboo skewer across the top of the medium over the roots to hold it in place, I sometimes do that when the plant wont stay in the pot. I suggest to take it easy with chemicals, fertilizers and other additives, there's no substitute for good basic culture😀. I would keep the virused plant if it can be kept apart from your other plants. good luck😀
