    For Napoleon's size, in France it's often said that the confusion rather came from the fact that being "average size", Napoleon appeared like a litteral dwarf beside his imperial guards whose one of the most important recruitement criteria was to be over 1'73m in height, which was rare for the time, also combined to the grenadiers' tall bearskin helmets (which are the british royal guards' helmets since after the napoleonic war)

    Disclaimer: In the video, I used the image of North Macedonia solely for visual reasons, but it's important to clarify that present-day North Macedonia does not correspond to ancient Macedonia. The Macedonian Empire, during the time of Alexander the Great (356-323 BC), extended over much of what is now Greece and Macedonia, reaching into the Middle East and Asia, including territories that today are part of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, and beyond.

Wouldn't have guessed otherwise if I didn't see documentaries stating we didnt coexist with them. Is that really depressing to think. The fact might not be as common as you'd think.

    Cleopatra having Macedonian origin is not the same as the country of North Macedonia. You are spreading historical misconceptions through the video meant to debunk historical misconceptions. The Ptolemaic dynasty is connected to the Greek part of Macedonia, where Alexander’s father, Phillip was buried.

    • @SketchSplain
      @SketchSplain День тому

      You are right to point out that the Ptolemaic dynasty is connected to historical Macedonia, which extended beyond the current North Macedonia and also included parts of northern Greece. The choice to use the graphic of North Macedonia was made solely for visual simplification. When I say that Cleopatra VII was of Macedonian origin, I am referring to her belonging to the Ptolemaic dynasty, founded by Ptolemy I Soter, a general of Alexander the Great. Ptolemy I was from historical Macedonia.

      Imagine if you were born in 1500s, you would most certainly believe that Earth is the center of universe and the Sun circles around it. However this hypothetical wouldn't change the fact that it's false and you were wrong, would it? Now, it doesn't mean everyone had to believe this false claim to be true (that would strip you away from your free will), just look at Galileo. Anyone who wholeheartedly pursuits truth can arrive at it, no matter the time or location.

    I like to watch these videos to see how many mistakes you make. It would be best to say that the Roman Catholic Church claims to be the true church founded by Jesus and that the Eastern Orthodox churches make the same claim. Calvinism is not a denomination; it is a set of beliefs held by several denominations like the Presbyterians and Dutch Reformed. Anabaptism is not a denomination either.

    The Roman Catholic Church is the true church founded by Jesus. Protestantism doesn't make sense, in the Bible it clarifies that faith without works is dead. I will pray for every other denomination, God bless all of us, may we enjoy eternal life. Edit: Also, sola scriptura is illogical and the early Catholic/Orthodox Church is what compiled the bible into its final form and preserved it using monks.

Survive with the natural resources in their region? I know the answer is yes, but you would never know it from videos like this. Life beyond tech as we know it is the future. Global interconnections are shutting down. The resources and diplomatic networks to make modern tech work are dissolving. This claims Jim Bridger was the first white man to see Yellowstone. It was actually achieved by John Colter around winter 1807-1808, when Jim Bridger was around 3 or 4 years old. Colter had been on the Lewis and Clark expedition and was released from the expedition as it returned east. He explored the Yellowstone and Teton area. When he told people what he saw, including geysers and the smell of sulfer, people thought he was telling fable and referred to this place as Colters Hell.
