I Grew up with unturned, it really sucks to see the game I love get ruined

I've just come back to Unturned recently, I have no idea what the drama is because instead of actually talking about it y'all just blame Nelson without actually saying what happened, the only thing to go by is the one forum post and if an unlisting is all that happened (the map is still playable according to that post once you install it from steam) y'all are overreacting lmao.

the bad review is about the player base than whatever nelson did, unturned sucks cause its all pvp now, miss the time when there was pve servers with super hard maps and mods to play on

Sad, that Unturned is a dead game, even though some Unturned Workshop/Curated Map have cutscene like Buak and Five Night At Nelson( I only know 2) its still not enough. I also know this game from a friend and Paulsoaresjr. I wonder if Unturned have a cutscene and a active NPC(Not just standing around) long time ago it will revive the game? Also is it just me that nowadays there is a lot of Russian player and servers?

this game became so sweaty, that i cant believe it. i remember times when survival servers were getting 50+ players. now the playercount is more like 20- (full vanilla = 0-10) #SDGSTOP ps: the game is getting like 10k+ online on steam. this isnt true. around half (or more) of this online are just bots that are farming timed item drops so they can sell these items

I feel like posting 10 paragraphs but im genuinely not in the mood. This is so sad, watching my favorite game slowly die is the worst feeling ever I've spent so many hours in this game and I've had so many fun moments with friends and random people I've met online. :(

this developed kind of suddenly, hopefully this can all get resolved, because the community is what makes up unturned at this point. with the removal of some of the biggest map / mod makers, the game doesn't really have any substance anymore. (Unless nelson actually decides to start releasing a ton more vanilla content, like a new map.. ehem..)

Nelson increased the price of skins in the game and used the winter event discount to return skin prices to their original price, which is ridiculous.

Me back in my days where Snayperskya didnt existed and i did called "Nelson is killing his game slowly but surely" and nobody believed me now where did this brings us? back to here

I stopped playing this game ages ago once i found out how PVP/RP focused it became. I used to play it to enjoy the survival aspects but now i've transitioned into Project Zomboid. Not sure whats going on, but i can already imagine nelson is doing stupid shit. The other day i played the original version of Unturned that was first on roblox and comparing it to current Unturned it feels like night and day.

I really miss the golden days of Unturned! I feel bad for anyone who never got to experience the magic of OG unturned. Those were some of the best gaming moments of my life unforgettable and impossible to replicate. I’m talking about the days before all the community additions, when the core game was the focus. Sure, there were some workshop mods, but nothing too crazy. It was a simpler and purer time, around 2014 to 2019

I'm scared of the future of this game it would suck to see this game fall but it seems its going on a downward spiral.

Nelson is being really stupid

The game has been steadily dying for years, this was just the final nail in the coffin. I remember back in like 2014-2016 where you could join any server and they would pop off with players on a variety of maps, there were no metas and PVP was purely fun, freezer wasn't sweaty at this point and you would wait in queue for like 10 minutes sometimes to join cuz of how popular they were. Now all you have are botted steam charts statistics, boring and repetitive metas that plague every PVP scenario, freezer is pretty much dead apart from the PEI server thats get 20 people on it max a day, and even those are just the ultra-sweats, wouldn't be surprised if people stopped playing freezer cuz it got too sweaty. The only map that is played these days is just russia, and of course, everybody on these servers is russian, can't even have a conversation without getting KOS'd anymore. Of course you have stuff like panda's servers, but that stuff is so mutated into some pseudo-arcade pvp server that it doesn't even feel like unturned, vanilla is basically dead, the majority of servers that ARE popular are the servers that were modded into a different game like rusturned and unturnov (which says a lot). Game died 5 years ago in my eyes, I came back to it like a year ago with a friend and we had fun on a yukon vanilla server for a month or two, but then it started getting like 1 player a day and we just got bored. Rest in peace Unturned, thank you for all the memories, but I sure as hell am not coming to the funeral

I played unturned a lot with my friends even the server I work for called Ring Dong RP we treated each other not just friends we treated each other more than that like a family in the server. I had a very fun time with the people I met from time to time I really had a blast from the past I wanted to thank everyone for giving me the best moments of my time in unturned. I just don't know what to do right now like why Nelson do this way this is not my unturned no more he ruined everyone's fun and doing things wrong making it the bad ending for unturned I really don't know what to say I might completely retire unturned off my list the Kaiser's journey might be coming to an end for me if Nelson doesn't fix this.
