    you absolutely do not want to solve inside workbench LS-Dyna. It's simply an incomplete product right now that's decades behind LSPP for post processing. Just showing cool pictures and colorful animations are not simulation.

      Workbench LS-DYNA and LSPP using same solver so results are the same. It has changed a lot since ls-dyna officially became Ansys's. Therefore, we can fully expect many features to be integrated into Workbench.

      @@CAESHOP I never said it's not the same solver. of course it's the same solver. I am making sure you understand that workbench is an incomplete product with a lot of missing or misleading features. you want to prepare the model with workbench, check the input file to make sure it's correct, and then solve with LS-run or by submitting the3 batch command yourself and you want to post process in LSPP. generating a bunch of colorful pictures without understanding what's actually happening in the postprocessing background will only aid in generating garbage and mislead new users. workbench also lacks a ton of capabilities that LSPP has.

      @@DennisZIyanChen you are right, we need LSPP for more results in post processing (I'm using it too). this video only used to present the pre-processing use Workbench and some new features in Ansys 2024 version, without any explaination about results.

      @@DennisZIyanChen The solution is going to be the exact same in WB and with LS-run if you have the same inputs. Yes, the WB integration is incomplete, but that doesnt influence the results. LSPP has obviously more features for pre and postprocessing, but if you don't need the given postprocessing feature, then the WB view is sufficient. OP is posting simple deformation plots. Why on Earth would he open LSPP, import/open the same file and view the same deformation plot there as well? Anyone who need details or niche features can always look them up in LSPP.

      2D analysis is a beta feature in WB LS-DYNA, so I recommend to using symmetry model Initially, the contact between layers is bonded, then it will be broken if contact stress greater than a defined value.

    Where did you define the geometry? Is there a tutorial you would suggest to get the same geometry? I am actually working in LS-PrePost but my problem is the units management there...

      in this problem, I using SpaceClaim to draw the geometry. you will find geometry dimensions in reference artical that mentioned in the video

      yes, the previous version 2024R2 has many limitations. In 24R2 version I think still has bugs, but the current problems do not have any major problems. You can try to upgrade to this version if possible.

      you can export result to a txt file (table type with columns are labels and rows are values) then read into Matlab
