Crappie scope isn't real fishing. Learn to read the water, conditions, and time of year. I hope b.a.s.s. eventually puts rules like you can only use it one day of the tourney.

I do use it to catch fish sometimes but Im more intrigued learning how fish react to your bait and things you thought you knew. Baits I never realized how much or really how short of a time your bait actually stayed in the zone and how slow you have to be to keep a bait at the bottom. Crankbaits never hit the depth they claim its really interesting seeing all this.

Logan I notice a lot of guys just saying ffs isn’t needed. I won’t say it’s not needed but I will ask you this question. If new age anglers like you don’t need it but still use it because it’s available if it wasn’t available could you still compete? If so then would it be safe to say those who can’t catch them without FFS don’t deserve to fish at the professional level?? Not catching fish because you can’t find them is different then not catching them bcuz you don’t know what to do. This doesn’t mean all the new guys suck without it, it’s just how do we know who’s really good at fishing and who’s good at finding??

If you quit because of livescope or because they ban livescope, then you are far from a professional. As a pro you need to be able to adapt to ANY situation. Either learn to use it if its allowed, or learn to fish without it if its banned. Or be a lil crybaby and quit. Nobody cares.

Just do video game fishing tournaments and save the real fishing for the rest of us.

Old school fishing is not tournament fishing. It’s just fishing. Old school tournament fishing is tournament fishing. FFS tournament fishing is its own tournament. Plain as day. Keep them separate in tournaments and fish on 🤘

A little advice from someone who predicted all of this from the beginning with FFS to an angler in your position would be a little like as follows: To make it in this sport you have to 100% live it froom the base of your soul. FFS will eventually ruin this sport you claim to love, especially when AI becomes involved. Take the drive and hunger that made you have this dream and apply it to learning how to bass fish to the best of your ability without any type of technology as far as FFS goes. It has allowed anglers with essentially no skill foundation in bass fishing to become a threat to win any event. That is one of the many problems with it and its a very big one. Nobody should be able to randomly stop on a body of water out ther tm down start spinning around and throwing at marks they see in real time to complete in the upper levels of this sport period. I dont fault you for using it, ive used it a great deal.. However from someone thats been bass fishing since 1990 its nuch easier to become proficient with FFS than it is to be a proficient bass fishermen. It takes years of pure devotion and thats if you have some talent. If you truly want what this great sport has to offer go back to what gave you your dream to do it tap into that and learn as much as humanly possible. Just my opinion and you didnt ask for it bust some of the best advice ive ever had I didnt ask for either.. These OGs that built the sport know what theyre talking about and if they go against sponsor obligations to speak on the greater good i would listen. Because they didnt have a screen that allowed them to compete against world champions after a minth of use. Some will say "Its no diff than side scan its another tool!" That is bs watching a fish react in real time to your every presentation is absolutely nothing like anything to ever happen before. Take what its allowed you to learn and learn everything you can everyday your blessed to be able to have a rod in your hands.

I dont understand why ppl make a big deal about ffs. Ive went many years without it and fished with it either way who gives a shit. Just go out fish your ass off have fun make money.

Little late to the show here but just listen to Clunn. I've even heard him say how he had no idea that folks he thought he knew would complain about something that improved ones knowledge about fish behavior. There are just a bunch of bitter old guys that want to hang onto the past and don't care if they hurt the younger generations in the process. It reminds me a lot of the problems we have now with almost everything. As an old guy myself I for one think it's time to pass the torch down!! Keep on smiling and good luck in the future!!

It’s crazy how many grown men cry about other men using FFS. Use it or don’t. “They can’t catch fish without it.” Most of these guys would get absolutely hammered by the majority of these pros if you handle the pro a Zepco spincast combo from 1995 and restricted their tackle.

They had to do something, it was affecting viewership. The leagues have been watching the data and doing their own research. If viewership goes down sponsors will not give as much funding because it will reach less eyes. The majority of bass fishermen do not have FFS, mostly only tournament guys or very serious fisherman. Sponsors want to reach everyone.
