He is a very special guy. I've had many horses; this one stands out as one of the best. I went to "look" at him when he went up for sale; needless to say, he came home with me and I've never been sorry!

No blood! thank goodness. But horses absolutely do get into precarious situations. I always hold my breath when I go to the barn, until I do a onceover on Dakota and am certain he hasn't found that one little screw that popped out of a fence rail that he decided he should rub his rear on!

I think you're right! About a month ago, a bunch of flatbeds came in and removed everything! All those pieces of concrete works are gone now.

Sometimes I use a brush or grooming gloves, depends on my mood! There are times when I just want to get my hands on that coat and scrub so I can feel everything!

@@cecilkulick3288 it took me a few minutes to get over the shock of being that close to a wild animal that was not afraid of me or my dog. I was mostly afraid for my dog, and so grateful she listened so well! I’ve encountered plenty of wild animals, but this situation was unique and could have turned ugly.

@@cecilkulick3288 I only wish I had my camera on to capture it. It’s one thing to encounter a wild animal, but quite another to encounter it whilst it was actively preying on a deer and having my dog in the middle of it all. That coyote was not going to be deterred.

@charlielocke9605 So magical! It's one of my favorite places to hang out. I'll purposely park my car far away from my destination, so I can stroll Nain Street. Even when it's bitter cold, the atmosphere warms you up!

Downtown Essex, CT is always spot on for every season! I'm grateful I only live five minutes from this beautiful shore town!
