Thank you so much for all video very good .
You are most welcome 🤗
Which route is this when downloading the routes?
This is route number 20 when downloading the GPX routes
Thank you so much for these videos I’m literally going to watch them on repeat till my test on the 13th of Feb! I always find that going on routes I am unfamiliar with is the hardest thing for me so far, so to see them all before my test is such a lifesaver, thank you so very much :)
You are so welcome! Good luck with your test
dont go to portsmouth, all miserable weirdos who enjoy failing people and do it with a smile on their face.
What for? Couldn’t be arsed!!
How many routes are there in total for the test?
So for Chichester we have 17 routes available for download on our website there are potentially more as examiners can use combinations of different roads but the 17 routes we provide will cover nearly all roads that they would usually use
these cyclists man - one major reason to fail your test. The yellow box before the lights leaving no room for even one car - Gosh ! that s a sure fail if you jump it.
that red light before the yellow box is nasty !
I passed my driving test in Portsmouth three days ago and the examiner followed exactly this test route . Hopefully I watched this videos a lot before my test as they were really helpful. 04:20 the keep clear , as soon as we reached it I remembered an look for cars in the trafic lights. I would like to thank you for all of these videos you are a lifesaver 😅💯💯
Well done that’s amazing news, and it was just in time for Christmas 🎄. Thank you also for the nice words of thanks 🤩
Huge thank you for taking the time to make these videos, with a last minute cancellation in Portsmouth and only used to the Lee On Solent routes, your videos were a life saver. I practised this route the day before my test, and it was exact route on test day. Thanks a lot mate
That’s great news and well done for passing
Are these the only 4 routes that a driving examiner may choose to test you on or there are more routes.
There are more routes, you can download more routes to practice from our website www.drivingtestroutes.uk
These videos helped me a lot in Basingstoke. I did drive and passed with ease like I lived in Basingstoke before.
That’s great news well done, so pleased the videos helped
love the videos keep it up! my test is in 3 days super nervous
You can do it! Stay calm and focus on being a safe driver. Good luck 🤞🏻
Thank you for your help.🙏🏻
You're welcome 😊 good luck with your test
You must have to add singles on the screen as you manoeuvre to roads
Sorry I am not sure what you mean?
I meant all manoeuvre you do or turning into new roads ,entering or leaving roundabouts you must add signals so it'll make sense to all learners when to giving indicators when not
Oh but if you listen I am talking that through, you do need to obviously use some decision making skills when driving, anticipation is one of the most important skills of driving.
,Thank you very much 👍👍👍👍👍👍
You’re very welcome hopefully you will pass your test
There are some roads here with no road marking about speed.. what speed should one use on those roads please?
Hi Beth, if there are no road markings or signs for speed it would most likely be because you are in a 30 zone. You should be paying attention to all signs as you drive and be aware that if there are street lights you are likely in a 30 zone unless there are signs to tell you otherwise.
@ thank you!!!
Thanks for posting these kind of viy, very helpful
You’re most welcome
Hi im not sure how to purchase the app for the driving route, please guide
Hi we sell GPX routes that you can use on various apps. Take a look at our how to use page on our website.
The road said national speed limit then later said slow, so if I start doing 60 and I see slow, what speed do I get to at the slow bit
The slow is a cautionary warning, if there is nothing in the road to slow you down and it’s safe you can maintain your speed, your speed should always be appropriate to the situation or the conditions, it is about you using your judgment based on these factors but do remember that you can get a fault for going too slow (appropriate progress).
Hi I passed my driving test in Uxbridge last Tuesday morning. I used to watch your videos a lot and these helped me immensely in understanding the Uxbridge test routes.. also the fact that you kept them short and precise. I just want to say thank you.
Thanks for such a positive comment and well done for passing👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Hi I am taking my test in march! Would you say it was difficult to take your test in Uxbridge (mine is booked there)
@@angelinalong8627 as with all test centres they are very similar in terms of difficulty but if you are not from the area it is worth practicing in the area to familiarise yourself with the local roads. Good Luck
@@angelinalong8627hey I found Uxbridge ok better than Slough as I took my first test there, do lots of practice with your instructor and watch videos. These videos really helped me. And don’t be upset if you fail in first attempt. Keep going and you will pass. All the very best 😊
Thank you so much for your videos! I did my test at Portsmouth yesterday and passed 1 st time with one minor 😱😁
Wow that’s great news well done 👏🏻
what about signal?
Sorry not sure which signal you are expecting as I did explain that you are already in the left lane so a signal wasn’t actually necessary.
Can you bring more for Crawley please?
Unfortunately we will not revisit Crawley for some time but you can download more test routes for Crawley from our website.
amazing videos thank you
@@DaniNassar glad you like them
😂 I did my driving test in pomoy!!!
Cosham
So helpful thanks!
Glad you have found it useful, good luck with your test
Thanks so much for these videos, I passed yesterday in Portsmouth. Very informative and helpful .Thanku so much for your time and effort.God bless you 🥰🥰
That’s great news. Glad it was helpful!
On the approach you correctly identified the left lane as left only, the one that goes to Portchester, as you then enter the roundabout the position you take up has to be the new left lane. On approach to the roundabout the lane to your right can also go straight ahead ( towards the QA). If you move into that lane where do you expect those road users to go?
Hi Andrew, this roundabout has a multitude of contradictions, for example on the north approach I see in another comment you state that the left lane is only for the left lane as you arrive at the roundabout and the right lane splits to the middle and right but where did you decide this from as historically the left lane splits the left and middle and the majority of traffic follows this approach, however there are people who will move from the right to the middle but there are no road markings to indicate either option, that’s why mirror checks are key. You also state in another comment that it’s bad lane discipline but as you approach the roundabout in the middle lane there are no small dotted lines as guidance markings to move you over to the other lane either and as the majority of traffic is going middle to middle as I have done this in my opinion and experience is far safer clearly you need to ensure that you are checking your left door mirror as you enter this position but in theory there shouldn’t be a car to your left as they would have been behind you at the entry point to the roundabout. In your scenario you are saying that left lane will go first left, middle lane will enter roundabout in the left lane for 2nd ahead and the right lane can enter to the middle lane for 2nd ahead and right lane for 3rd right. To be safe sometimes you should be aware of local driving practices. I am not saying you are wrong but you are putting some element of risk to the situation by not following the traffic flow. For example if you just follow lanes southbound you can go 3rd exit right from the middle lane as well as taking the same exit from the right hand lane. As I said many contradictions on this roundabout which is why it is best to study not only the roundabout but also the traffic flow.
Is it ok to go 55 on A3? My instructir told me i needed to go 65 min and be overtaking.
55 would be probably the lowest speed I would suggest if you don’t like to drive too fast and unless you have an extremely slow moving vehicle in front of you overtaking is compulsory. You should drive in a safe manner for yourself and other road users, and not cause a nuisance for them by being excessively slow.
Thanks fir reply, but everywhere i read seems to suggest this wiuld result in a minor
Driving at 55 on clear road in nirmal conditions
If you are not sure then go a bit faster, but 55 is an acceptable speed on a dual carriageway
Good 👍
Thanks for the visit
Your spot on bro
Glad you think so!
at 6:54 before the roundabout, you're taking second exit which is after 12 on the roundabout sign. you're in the left lane but shouldn't you be in the right hand lane? Would it be a serious to be in the right hand lane as i was taught that anything after 12 on roundabout signs, you shouldn't use left hand lane?
This is such a bad way of being taught, The time of a clock face has nothing to do with how a roundabout works😊 left lane for left, left lane for 2nd exit, right lane for 3rd exit and beyond, this is the standard way to use a roundabout unless there are signs or road markings to instruct you otherwise. Check your Highway Code again it does not mention 12 o’clock.
That is really good, I will show my son who near test date
Thanks, hope it helps
It’s not correct lane discipline.
I passed my test in Chichester in 1979! The test centre was just outside the bypass on the Tangmere Road in those days and my test route took me across the bypass and into Church Road. Chichester is very different now. You can't even get straight across the bypass let alone then into Church Road afterwards.
all changed now building way too many houses
Exact same test route today. Am pleased I passed with 3 minors first time. Thank you for the videos🥰
That’s great news, well done you must be very pleased 😀
Hi, so useful, so helpful. I passed my test today in the Portsmouth test centre. I really appreciate your great help. Kind regards
Glad it was helpful! And well done for passing.
Will they only be using this test route as well as the other one?
No there are more they could use unfortunately on the day we recorded these many roads were close for the London to Brighton cycle race. There are more route available on our website.
Thank you!
You're welcome!, have you passed.
Thank you so much..my wife is going to have an exam in Basingstoke very soon and this video is going to be so helpful to practice our routes...
For purchasing test routes, are those maps or videos?
They are gpx files, they work on satnav devices or with apps on your phone
Could you do Reading test routes please 🙏. Thankyou
Definitely will do but can’t tell you when, you can download them though from our website
Are you not taking the 4th exit at Fleetsbridge roundabout at the end? 1st exit is B&Q, second is Dorchester, third is Tesco and 4th exit is the exit you took?
Your absolutely right I counted the exits wrong well spotted and is a good example of practicing and being familiar with the area
My test in 1977 from London road centre . Drive down Mayfield rd up Copnor rd to Hilsea back down London road to centre . Park in side street, reverse round corner, three point turn and what are these three road signs. 20 minutes all in
Those where the days, mine was at Eastney, emergency stop with the clipboard bashed on the dashboard
@@DrivingTestRoutesUK I didn't have to do the emergency stop. It was raining very hard and examiner said it would be to dangerous ! I passed first time my instructor was a chap called Dave from Southsea he was an ex police driving instructor and set up his own driving business and had a really high pass rate I think a lesson was about £5 / hour and I took the test in his car a Mk1 Ford escort . Happy days indeed.
Can you help me in getting date in reading? Please
Sorry we don’t deal with booking driving tests.
You made 4 videos of farnborough... are these the only 4 routes for the test?
No there are more test routes check out our website you can download more Farnborough routes there. www.drivingtestroutes.uk
@@DrivingTestRoutesUK can you help me in getting instructor in farnborough? I'm from reading... i'll go there by bus
You would have failed as you wrongly crossed the lanes on the second roundabout twice!! You already said the left lane was left only so you should not of used the middle lane on the roundabout.
Definitely wouldn’t fail Mike as long as you are checking your mirrors as leaving the round about and not once did I cross a lane, you are correct in saying that you could move from the middle lane to the far left when entering the roundabout but you can also do it from the middle lane and in practice most local drivers use this method so therefore I generally find it the safest option. This is a poorly laid out roundabout that has had multiple changes to it over the last few years and still leaves a huge amount of ambiguity. If you consider on the approach the right hand lane only shows an arrow ahead but you never see drivers moving from the right to the middle when entering this roundabout. Observations are key and demonstrating them even more so on your test.
That’s what I thought to be honest.
@@DrivingTestRoutesUK The right hand lane becomes wider, also splitting into an extra lane for turning right towards Drayton. The arrow on the approach however shows that lane is initially one to go straight ahead along with the new left lane.
That Brighton Hill roundabout is an absolute bastard (pardon my french) Failed my test because of that roundabout alone, i was heading off the 2nd exit so had myself on the left lane on approach, all good, for whatever reason i didn't stick to the very left as i was going round and got 2 lanes in...that wasn't what failed me though, it was the getting back across to exit left that did, the best thing to to was to continue in my current lane and go round again or come off another exit and wait for the examiner to give me a new route back... What angered me more is i only had 3 minors and the rest of the test was a breeze....i would have passed if not for that damn roundabout....
That’s a shame but your post test analysis is spot on. Good luck next time
Did u signal and check mirrors when end up in other lane before switching back? If it was safe to do so u can with proper mirror and signals
@@jaykemiller1461 I did, its one that really left me scratching my head at... Basically it was marked down as Use of mirrors - Change direction. Essentially long story short as i was moving back to the left where i needed to be for the next exit, a Bus had sped up and caught up with me as i was already crossing over, thus forcing the bus to slow down. the issue o had with this decision is the bus had not yet entered the roundabout when i was already on the first set of traffic lights on the roundabout. As soon as it went green i mirrored signalled and started crossing over...for whatever reason the bus driver decided to speed up as i was already crossing... It all worked out in the end though as i managed to land another test just a month after and passed in Farnborough in late November but it was one that for a couple of days gave me some sleepless nights as i thought the mark was given pretty harshly.
I have test tomorrow in Guilford lers see
Good luck
I have the test soon, thank you for the videos,so we can get familiar with the roads and be more prepared 👍✊
You’re very welcome, good luck with your test
@@DrivingTestRoutesUK Thank you!👍
