    If you change gear ratio or screw size it would go faster but there would be more wear on the engine. So being faster or slower is easily manipulated, the differences are small and manufacturers make different design, there is no easy telling whom made it faster but with more stress on the engine. I heard Cebu is nice, Boracay is famous for too long to be so nice. Palawan is a real paradise I've heard. Don't go to Mindanao. XD Take care!

    Hello again. I have been watching and thumbs up on each video coming out. I think I will share about your videos and channel on mine in a few days from now if its ok with you. You know I was watching that speed test the other day. I thought it would be faster. I have a series of videos out on a mod I did to my 32 foot bangka I have had for numerous years. I put a 2 stroke yamaha enduro 25 hp on it and man oh man does it fly. I have it up right now replacing the outriggers on it. I can share a link but it will send my comment to held for review so i will send the name of the video. Bangka PumpBoat gets chopped off and Yamaha Outboard installed Part 5 LAUNCH TIME look that up on UA-cam and tell me what you think. It goes about 25 mph and possibly faster but I am scared to run it any faster because it might break the boat! This boat is heavy too as the bottom is carved from a huge old tree. I honestly thought yours was going to haul ass like mine. In no way am I criticizing yours as I have enjoyed every single part of your builds. Well the one video made my stomach ill when the boat almost burned!!!! Kids! I wonder what the difference is? the flat hull ? Stay in touch and let me know if it's ok to share about your videos and channel.

      @@TexasFilipino Yes for sure you can share my videos 😁 I watched your videos about adding an outboard to your banka, very interesting and it actually influenced me adding outboards to the trimaran. I thought you got a big fiberglass boat too or was that another youtuber? If you add all my hulls (19+12+12 =43) it is 43 feet total boat length and i also added a lot of wood and epoxy strengthening to support the outer hulls and keep them from flopping around on their own so it is really a lot more weight and i think that accounts for the slow speed. My next test will be running a speed test with the 15hp outboard together with the 15hp pump boat inboard to see what 30hp total does for the speed 😁

    I like your boat and am intrigued by its design. This is not a criticism as much as an observation and question. I'm genuinely curious. It seems to me to be designed to be either too small or lacking space or features (chairs) or sleeping space, etc. to be very practical. I guess you could sit (or stand?) on the trampoline and fish. So, my question: How can you practically use this boat for anything other than a little fishing and transportation?

    • @myparadiseonbantayanisland9030
      @myparadiseonbantayanisland9030 Місяць тому

      Good observations and questions. If I had to do it over again I would make the hulls at least 30 inches wide instead of the roughly 20 inches inside, that being said I don't have the shark fins (stainless steel uprights) on the boat while I am doing the basic testing, they hold the overhead tarpaulin (shade and rain protection) and also I tie sleeping hammocks across the front two shark fins (left and right sides) and then tie one hammock from the front either side to the rear opposite side shark fin and then tie another hammock from the rear side across to the other rear side for a Z shape of hammocks a total of 3 sleeping hammocks plus the two trampolines it can sleep 5 adults. I also have drop down curtains from every side to give privacy when camping. For sitting arrangements I the captain have a plastic chair with custom made cushions and I also have 4 bean bags for anyone to sit on, 2 inside each outside hull and also anyone can sit on the rear steps or the front cross beam supports and the trampolines. As for fishing I have 5 rocket launchers one front and one rear on each outside hull's shark fin and one on the center hulls rear shark fin so 5 total rod holders. The shark fins overhead roof trusses have loops for 7 things... rods and reels and a gaff and a fish net. As for fishing we can stand in the outer hulls and fish over the side just like a traditional boat or sit on the rear steps or front cross beam supports and fish out the front or rear of the trimaran. My main issue right now is getting enough speed and so I am testing various engines to see how much power I will need to reach I hope 20 miles per hour top speed (or more) and a 15 miles per hour cruising speed. Right now I am uploading the speed test video of the 15 hp yamaha outboard and the inboard 15hp Sumo Rato engines to compare each engines speed running 1 at a time, in an upcoming video I will do speed test running both 15 hp engines at the same time to see what speed a total 30hp will do on the trimaran. I also have a 30hp yamaha outboard on order and will replace the 8hp yamaha outboard that is currently mounted on the right side of the center hull with the new 30hp yamaha then the Paradise Trimaran will have a total of 60hp, so stay tuned for many more speed test in various combinations and of course we will add the shark fins and tarpaulins and hook up the hammocks and get the hulls arranged and make room for the bean bags in the outer hulls for comfortable cruising in the Paradise Trimaran for many type of adventures including fishing, island hopping, spear fishing and exploring.

    Nice video. I really don't know what I am talking about but there is a nautical term known as "hull speed" where there is a limit to how fast a hull will go, regardless of the amount of power applied. I think it only applies to displacement hulls. your set-up looks like it is both fun and functional. that said, my guess is that any drag underwater from the inboard engine might be significant and removing that entirely, and just running on the two outboards might be a faster set-up. but I truly dunno

    • @myparadiseonbantayanisland9030
      @myparadiseonbantayanisland9030 Місяць тому

      Good question, you are making me think about the various scenarios that I could use. 😁 The inboard engine makes it easier for me to control the steering and some speed control from a comfortable chair as I can only manage 1 of the outboards at a time and I don't have a place to sit that is comfortable while operating an outboard engine, so what I do in the current configuration is run the inboard and then set a cruise control on the outboards and set then to go straight ahead and use the rudder pole and inboard to do the steering and any speed adjustment using the inboard engine, If I were to run only one engine like if I were trolling fishing it would be the inboard and I could tilt the outboards up and out of the water to prevent any drag from them.

      I am in Liloan right now building the boats however very soon we will get back to Bantayan island our home and try some of that seafood, of course I will be supplying my own seafood as soon as I can get my rods and reels into the Paradise Trimaran and head out on many fishing adventures !

    Why this design over a traditional fishing boat? What are you planning to do with this boat?

    • @myparadiseonbantayanisland9030
      @myparadiseonbantayanisland9030 2 місяці тому

      Do you mean a traditional Filipino fishing boat or a fiberglass type fishing boat? I originally bought the center hull as a stand alone boat, however with the bamboo outriggers it was prone to roll over and so I figured the only way to stabilize it was to add two outer hulls and that is how I got here. The trimaran will be used for family and friends to run around, go fishing, island hopping, camping and various other adventures.

    great videos. are you able to travel from island to island with your boat?

      Not yet, I am replacing the center hull engine and also I have a 30hp yamaha outboard on order so when those are in the boat I should be able to go many places, of course if the seas are rough I would probably stay home 😁💦

    things are getting very real now motors are on an running, boats all setup, things are stowed. what a neat looking boat youve built it really is a work of art, i cant wait to take a ride ! ! ! PS, what i do when im done running my 2 strokes, i unplug the fuel line an let them idle till they run out of fuel, that stops any of the sticky fuel floats or clogged jets in the carbs, the fuel we have now is trash an gets funky really fast :(

      @@BeamerTheFox yes unplugging the fuel lines and running the motors till they die is the trick, it is much easier than cleaning the carbs 😁

    This is a lot better than the other motor. I didn't hear the reason you changed, but the 8hp seemed to struggle.

    • @myparadiseonbantayanisland9030
      @myparadiseonbantayanisland9030 3 місяці тому

      Yes the 8hp just did not have enough power for the catamaran, sad to say I think the 15hp needs to be a 25hp to really get the catsmaran up on plane and skimming along the ocean. The 15hp still is running a little rough and I just received all new ignition parts to install this week in hopes that that will get it purring like a lion. Stay tuned to see if we can get it running super smooth. 😁

    I like how the owner keeps telling the technicians how to do their job. If you already know everything why take it to a technician. 2 stroke motors fowl spark plugs much easier that 4 stroke motors. Being a cheap skate over a couple of spark plugs is dumb. blowing all the water out of the test barrel will also buy yourself an impeller from running it dry.
