One question. When you are not ranked internationally; how do you get visas to play ITF tournaments? I only know of O-1 and P-2 visas. But if you want to play outside of your country and have no professional experience, do you do a tourist visa? (People without 1 WTA point and who are alternates and must show up to see if they can get into the tournament). What to tell Border Patrol. 🤔 😂

What brought me to this page was, I recently watched the film “Misbehaviour,” because I have a huge crush on English actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw. In the film, she portrays the first black winner of “The Miss World” title in 1970 “Ms. Grenada” Jennifer Hosten. In the film Gugu speaks with a slight Grenadian accent & I wondered how authentic it was. I wonder if anyone from Grenada had seen the movie & thought she did an accurate portrayal of the accent, or thought it was off? Thank you for so much great information, you are so helpful! But I have a question, like you stated that the max you can sign up for is 7 tournaments right. So what happens if all 7 tournaments say no? Are you able to get another 7 tries later or do you just not get to sign up anymore?

Great video. I don’t know if you heard of Youth and Tennis - in Queens NY - that use to be run by Bill Briggs? He passed away. But he use to make us hit 100 each of Crosscourt forehands and down the line forehands. Crosscourt backhands and down the line backhands. BEFORE we were even allowed to start drilling. 😂 😂 😂 (I loved that man). You are a great coach and an excellent big sister. 😊

I suggested before that you are so peppy that you can have your own show. I am born in LI, NY and grew up in NYC; so I know how it goes. 😂 (With what I am about to say). You have to improve your diction. (Unless you are portraying a New Yorker in a movie; you have to get a neutral diction; think newscaster and Oprah). 😂 No more, “doin’, yeah, sumthin’, etc.” You know what I mean. I clean up my diction when I speak publicly; we New Yorkers have that accent curse. 😂 😂 😂 Tape yourself and compare it to your favorite Regional news caster. And write down the words that you say differently from the newscaster). You will have your own show on tennis channel in no time. You have the pep and charisma that is hard to replicate. (So working on a Regional Accent will be a piece of cake).

Love this! Lots of those sayings and some of the words are also spoken in Jamaica. Some not as popular now. We also say kakahole in Jamaica but not a lot.

That is not annoying! You have to call the ball out loud and clear and point with your finger. Only once though no need to keep calling it out.
