Which vehicle do you reckon will take over as the safety bus once 2412 goes?
My guess personally 1 of the GB kites electritroliner
@ yeah, either that or it might be a Wright GB Hawk
The more likely option would be something older, such as an Eclipse 2.
I don’t think it would be an Enviro300 or Rural. Some of these buses are turning 17 towards the end of 2025 and this time next year (god I feel so old)
I thought 2412 was at hamills since last spring
Nope. 750 Was the last solar to go for scrap.
@@BusVideosNIFunny enough, the driver for 2412 in last December told me it was due for hamills for spring 2024
I’m hoping to find 2412 so that I can make a video of it before it goes, just like I did with 750.
Great video! Sounds really good!
I remember that bus with Ulsterbus
Seen this bus a few weeks ago in Royal Avenue. Nice to see it return to the road again
I thought they were gotten rid off
This was taken in 2014
Its weird on how it reminds me of 1769 but smaller
Sick!!
Workhorses so they are; I prefer the B10BLEs lookwise, but you can't deny these buses are sturdy.
I loved driving them with First
Is there much up at Hamills these days?
Nice, is 828 the first photo or the second photo? or is it transferred
Its both photos it had just been repainted
It's 2 photos of her before and after repaint.
@@BusVideosNI ah okay
I really want the Scania solars back
Good capture
Very nice, can tell it was like a london bus cause 2 sets of doors
When was this?
The date is in the title and description
Very nice, was that an EX metro?
New to Citybus before moving over to Ulsterbus in her later life. She was on loan to Metro in this clip
@BusVideosNI okay
Nice catch. I seen one of these with an ALX200 body a few months ago.
nice one, where'd u see this?
Beside Adelaide Railway Station. Clip was taken in 2014 she is now believed to be scrapped.
@BusVideosNI ah ok
I believe she went to Walsh’s…..do ye know where is she is nowadays?
She is now scrapped along with pretty much all Ex Translink B10BLEs that went down south.
@@BusVideosNIoh a big shame….it’s funny now there is more leyland and Volvo B10M Q types still with private operators compared to the renown’s lol….any news on when the B10M q type farewell video is releasing?
One of the best buses purchased by translink
I couldn't agree more.
@ i always enjoyed driving the ultras
I forgot how attractive these vehicles were in that livery.
They were certainly one of the nicest looking vehicles in the fleet.
Midland red north had some ex shearings, remember riding on them to lichfield
Wow!!
sad seeing it scrapped, what's the ALX next to it? if it's 2314 im gonna cry
The ALX is 2315
@@BusVideosNI ah okay
The company wouldnt sell my mate it cause hes in the company so they scrapped. Bunch of arseholes
Nice, was it transferred to different livery or is it still the same
It is now in the driving school livery.
@@BusVideosNI so in the green livery?
Those bollards look like they're in the wrong place for stands 1-3. They even botched the placement of the kerbs going by the square of tarmac used to bring stand 1 to the bus' door, although what they look to be trying to solve there was also needed for stand 2 as well. Everyone getting off a bus there will be stepping to ground level then up the kerb, so I hope buses there never need a wheelchair user or other mobility restricted person to board or get off. When I saw somewhere that this place was to be opened 2025, I thought about how a larger infrastructure project could possibly have been finished on time. It of course wasn't long before seeing it was too good to be true with these mistakes in construction here and hearing that they want to demolish a perfectly good bridge as well in another video I watched just before this one, which offers the potential for a grade separated pedestrian crossing, which is the optimal for pedestrian safety, especially if expecting to deal with large numbers of pedestrians, which I'd presume they are expecting when building this station this size, but I guess 'future proofing' was just developer's fluff to get funding for the size of this place and not an actual plan for the area, passenger/pedestrian numbers, etc (I'm pretty sure the Europa site has/had more seating for waiting passengers despite the lower capacity). With the issues Northern Ireland has from a huge number of former railways being closed and removed in the past from a lack of future planning, with many needing rebuilt from the ground up in these supposed plans to reconnect some of the rest of the counties by rail again, you'd have thought they would have all the evidence they need to not remove useful infrastructure, like a bridge that could be used for a pedestrian crossing, but apparently not. Watch them get their way with demolishing the bridge now then in a few decades when the street is overwhelmed with pedestrians trying to cross it, apply for funding to build a bridge for them, or maybe need to resort to a pedestrian tunnel at even greater expense, as they won't have reserved the land from redevelopment for that particular area of 'future proofing'. Of course they could end up pedestrianising that road if there are too many incidents between pedestrians and road traffic, then they get to cause more traffic on the rest of the roads there that their buses use, and so reducing their efficiency in the process, giving passengers more reason for the seating they didn't include as they need to wait for buses stuck in traffic. Yeah, this project is the same as all the rest after all.
Nice, I think I seen you at grand central on Saturday
????? When????
11th April 2018

Have you got updates on her? Did you keep it or is she scrapped or what
