I had originally searched this up to cheat on this as it was our homework, but this video did really help me to understand how to do the problems, thank you 😀
Where did you get .325 from on part c
Thank you soooooo muchhhh pls do more vids helping us with work
3:19 how do you know the scale factor is 1/2?
Hi Britta. Thanks for helping me out, my teacher isn’t great at teaching geometry but you helped a lot. Thanks.
Thank you♥
You're welcome 😊
4:24 why do we do w(t) instead of w
I just wrote it in function notation. You can just do “w” since it didn’t ask for function notation
Thank you, queen, i love you please give me a heart
You're the reason I'm passing 9th grade.. thanks so much!
You're very welcome! 🙏🏼
for the first practice problem im confused on how you got the 41? 16 divided by 25 isn't 41?
It’s because there are 16 parts on the top and 25 parts on the bottom. So that’s a total of 41 parts in the fraction. I didn’t mean 16/25 =41 … I meant 16/25 is 41 total parts (added 16 and 25). You need to have the total parts of the fraction to divide up the top segment proportionally. If the fraction had been 7/10 - that would be 17 parts, if it had been 1/5 - that would have been 6 parts. I hope that helps.
@@BrittaDwyer THANK YOU! I understand it now, you're a lifesaver!
@cowplusdog5655 happy to hear that!
How would I solve these if I only have a ti 83 plus without the 2nd y= option to get the fraction? Trying to type it regularly keeps giving me different answers compared to yours
Which problem are you talking about?
Thanks this helped a lot!
Glad it helped!
This really helped
Happy to hear that!
My algebra teacher breezed through this topic relatively quickly, and as a student who needed more time to grasp the concept, I got lost in what I was learning. When I watched your video for guidance, I feel myself slowly understanding. Your explanation is clear and concise! Thank you 🧡
I’m so glad you are finding it helpful, that’s wonderful to hear! 🙌🏼
Life saver
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Once again Britta is saving me
At your service 🫡
The explanations were so clear, especially with the use of the graphing calculator. It made understanding the concepts so much easier. Thanks for the help!
You are very welcome! 🙏🏼
Great review! This helped me understand the key concepts of Unit 2B much better. The breakdown of functions and equations made everything clearer. Thanks for the helpful tips!
You’re welcome ☺️
Wow 🤩
🤩
12:30 -5/1=-5 not 5
True story!
Who else in night school and gotta do this
6:28 4b so no it's not the only solution or no, no other numbers can work?
So “No, it isn’t the only possibility. Many other numbers would work”
Wow thank you so much you’re way better at explaining it than my actual teacher
Glad you are finding my videos helpful 🙏🏼
literally like I actually understand what I’m doing now
@darekroberson732 so happy to hear that!
For the second problem you forgot c and d
Sorry!
These have helped me a lot when doing homework or when I don’t understand it in class I like how you explain everything that is going on
I’m glad you’re finding the videos helpful 🙏🏼
very helpful
Glad to hear that
Thank you so much this helped me alot because my math teacher explains it so fast when he's teaching and you make it easier to understand and slowly go over it thank you please keep doing this😭🎀💗
I’m glad you’re finding it helpful! 🙏🏼
Hi, did you put this review together yourself?
Yep, I sure did 😊
thank you
You're welcome
#3 has an error. I accidentally wrote (2x-1) instead of (2x+1). So x should equal -1/2 not +1/2
How is the channel only at 12k subs YOU MAKE IT SO EASY TO UNDERSTAND THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
for #3 wouldn't AB be parallel to CD instead of BC
Yes! 🤦🏻♀️
ur actually the best
Thanks 🫶🏼
Tysm for these!! I love how you explain in detail in each question, it’s very helpful and articulate!!
Glad you find the videos helpful 🙏🏼
Thank you 🙏🙏
You're welcome 😊
As a teacher of this course, it is really disheartening to have my students copying the solutions from these videos without learning anything. I am having to go through every practice set and change each problem so I can see what they actually know and not what they can copy mark for mark from these videos.
I’m sorry you feel that way. IM does have additional practice problem sets that they provide with the curriculum. With the abundance of online resources and AI tools, students have easy access to answers, making homework a poor indicator of their actual skills or understanding. It often measures resourcefulness rather than knowledge or ability. I highly recommend Building Thinking Classrooms as a resource to read that discusses the topic of Homework.
Nice
Thanks
I love this channel. You help me in so many ways. I appreciate all the help you give and I just wanna say thank you
That’s so sweet of you. Thanks for taking the time to comment 🙏🏼🫶🏼
I LOVE YOU BRITTA DWYER 😻😻
🙏🏼🥰
THANK YOU SO MUCH 🙏🙏
You’re welcome 🙏🏼
1:34 why 10 wouldn't 9 or 8 hours be a little much too?
It could. “Too long paddling” subjective.
thank you, i realize how easy it can be. will watch more :3 if i need the help
Glad it helped!
thank u for helping me study
You’re welcome!
The only reason I’m passing algebra 2 rn
🙏🏼
Thanks for the help 😊
No problem 😊
this is a very convoluted way to teach this stuff. I can already see my students' eyes rolling to the back of their heads.
🤷🏻♀️ Thanks, I guess? Just a reminder, I’m not the creator of this curriculum, so you can certainly reach out to IM(TM) with your concerns and you can certainly choose not to watch my videos and not share them with your students.
@BrittaDwyer many of us are being mandated to use the curriculum this year for the first time (nyc initiative) they did A1 last year this year were also doing Geo and some schools are doing A2 but they'll all be doing them next year. I appreciate that you've made these, I'm glad I have another source to make sense of the lessons as I've not always found the teacher guide helpful enough at times. I know it's not your course and I've sent links to my students who've been absent so they can keep up several times. But I'm also not a fan of the curriculum, the and many choices they make, the sequencing of lessons the wild assumptions they have about what students can do on their own under time constraints suggested and many other things that are not your choices. So thank you for doing this but I'd just let you know to expect some comments occasionally from people new to teaching the course who don't really like it but I'm sure there will be others who might not say so who at least appreciate it, especially the students who are taking it. I notice several lessons get skipped in your playlist, is there a reason they're not here? Like because they need to many additional print outs, or the tasks are very in class dependent such as the info gap routines, are they just lessons that got cut for convolutedness or something, did they exist or were they removed? I'm teaching Unit 2 lesson 11 soon and was concerned about that being the only real mention of HL and was hoping to see how you approached it.
When doing 21.3, I would have the students label the angle measures as a, b and c, not using primes since they remain congruent after each rotation, because the prime notation lends itself to students thinking the angle measures are different. Also, I would refer to the line as a straight angle instead of a line, so it helps students distinguish between the length of a segment and angle measure of a segment.
I choose to use prime notation (and will continue to do so) to distinguish that the angles aren’t identical angles, the primes are the images of the original angle and they are congruent to original angle through rigid transformations. Students are able to articulate WHY the an and a’ or a” are congruent by explaining they completed a rigid transformation. Which to me, is a valuable distinction, especially moving forward as they learn about dilations. Students will need to know that prime notation doesn’t always product congruent images and be able to distinguish between when images are congruent and when they are not. (Angles vs. sides in dilations) IM teacher resources and answer keys also use the prime notation, and often on a much broader scale than I do. You are welcome to make changes in your classroom as you see fit, but I think it is important to use primes.
Thanks for the information ❤🎉 My math teacher had a meeting and couldn’t let me go after school but I fact checked with this video and saw the mistakes I did.
Glad I could help!
thank you
You're welcome
ur such a saint omg i couldn’t have passed algebra 1 without you thank you so so much
Happy to help! Hopefully you’ll still find my Geometry and Algebra 2 videos helpful in the coming years too!
