Leute die Pipe muss gestimmt werden, Es gibt nicht schlimmeres als ein Drone der nicht im Tune ist. Geht der Piper am meisten auf den Sack ;O)

Anyone know the name of the tune after hector the hero, first tune after his first break.
Reid Kyrzyk he plays “Hector the Hero” and “Mason’s Apron” (Hornpipe) as a set and then plays “Castle Dangerous” after the brief break. Not sure of the 2nd tune in the set with Castle Dangerous off hand though, but the third in that set is “Battle of the Somme.”
I like his music but really his tuning is too excessive especially in front of an appreciative audience.
Not really. He's a perfectionist. That's why he is so good. He's dealing with reads, moisture, air temperature. And these pipes (especially the drones) go out of pitch very easily. A perfectly in tune set of pipes is beautiful. Out of tune, not so much...
He's playing full cane and sheepskin here. Band set-up, not his usual set-up, hence the excess tuning. Lot more involved with full cane vs. synthetic!

ist es teil der show, dass instrument zu stimmen?! niemand im publikum hätte es bemerkt, wenn die pipe nicht perfekt geklungen hätte. auf einer competition kann er auch nicht nachstimmen, warum also hier?!
Michael M. Es kein Teil der Show, aber man muss oft ein Düdelsack stimmen. Der Ton ändert sich, wenn man spielt. Deshalb haben großen Düdelsackbands viele Tonassisstenten, zum Biespiel.
