I don't you should be able to "rent" mounts in gw2. They should be tied to POE. Had some friends play and it would seem better if they could only walk around first. That way when they do get to POE and are introduced to mounts, the impact to traversing the maps will feel wildly different. (Like it did when OG players got them)
in wow also you see other players playing or doing their task?
GW2 no subscription is what works for me. Pay for DLCs and thats it.
as someone that played both i can say GW2 is superior , and the company isn't run by the evil corporation ether . however both games even though looking similar arent the same - nearly at all . there are classes in both games that arent in the other game - lets be real - if u enjoy said class u gonna play the game reaper - guardian - mesmer = are all very unique and there is nothing like that in wow shaman - dh = are unique for wow gw2 = much friendlier community , people will often go out of their way to help u complete something ... true account wide achievements wow = 20 years worth of content - new classic era started 2weeks ago - you can experience game once again from the begging . if u're a fan of slower game - wow maybe more appealing to you , while if u like faster paced game gw2 maybe better choice story fans - while warcraft starts very strong and gw2 very weak (in story telling) some time around 2nd expansion those are reversed and gw2 story (and story telling) becomes better then warcrafts . all in all if u wanna play mmo i would suggest starting with GW2 since base game is 100% free . you can level a lot of characters and have deep understanding of the game before u will need to spend 1$ . if you cant find anything u like in ether of the two and are a fan of games like oblivion and skyrim ESO maybe for you - ESO just like GW2 becomes better and better with every expansion ... while wow is (its just not getting better ... they add more stuff sure but ...)
stopped after the mordor had to be bought through real money or nothing for 6 months and then everyone had finished it , then mirkwood with artificial difficulty beign a literral MAZE then came back not long ago to find every single little area is 1000+ turbine coins or whatever they call it now , didn t even bother despite the now free pvp , i was eager to FIGHT actually using my chracter but it s only fedex quests and rly long travels back and forth damn it reminded me minas tirith times , awful . still a good game for the story probably , but if you re not ready to create rerolls to farm game shop currency for new areas finishing all content from one region to go onto the enxt won t be enough it will end up being costly .cheers
Just always end up going back to Guild Wars 2. The combat is just the best, period. The cleave damage, the mobility and the dodges... i love it
Guild wars 2 should pay you for this video. It’s beautifully crafted.
Wow should learn to from Gw2 and start adapting to horizontal progression
Guild Wars 2 will always be my second home. Azeroth is my first.
I have only 300 + huors in Gw 2 so i might be wrong. But i´v notice content creators often forget to mention that, even if the traditional permanent gear grind is not a thing in gw2, there are other relevant progression systems in the game and new ones are added in every expansion and dlc (Ak: Lws). Btw, I hope my english is understandable and appologies for any grammatic crimes i may or may not committed.
This video needs more views, seriously really this is the testament of why I love gw2. Excellent video. I took a 2 year break but I'm back. I'm so back in Tyria. Thanks for your video. I will share the video
The problem with WoW I have rn is there is just SO MUCH effing CC. There are ways to be CC'd for 17+ seconds and the game thinks or that's fine. It's just not fun anymore.
I've played a ton of WoW and only recently really started getting into GW2, they are vastly different games. For exploration, adventuring, mounts and more welcoming community I'd go with guild wars 2, feels WAY more casual friendly and people are very helpful and you never feel pressured to get things done. That being said, the combat is terrible compared to wow in terms of mechanic synergy, active spell selection, roles and responsiveness. The characters in GW2 move in a very slide like janky fashion and I'm not sure why the GW2 fanatics refuse to accept this. Play wow and play a mage with pin point blinks, counterspells, 6 different CCs, etc all of which are hyper responsive (instant and precise) and then go play an elementalist in GW2. It's like comparing a modern CoD character to one from N64 Golden eye, even classic wow is league better in terms of positioning and responsiveness. TL:DR - GW2 - Mounts, casual friendly, tons of solo activities, more cohesive RP storyline and fun jumping puzzles/explorations WoW - Raiding, combat, PvP, game mechanic precision and atmospheric immersion
you mean 2017, right?
Man, can this youtuber narrate and get you immersed. His excitement contagious as hell! great job!
no button mashing
lol it's not even fair to compare. wow should have finished atleast 10 to 15 yrs ago
Ive never played gw1 but eod was a really nice expansion, idk what people were smoking
i just got back to playing. gw2 is amazing!
GW2 all the way, for so long I have searched perfect mmo and finally found one
Once I tried GW2 back in 2014, I never looked back at WoW
Really enjoy the game but im having trouble playing , the human race is so boring and the others look jank , love the asura but despise playing a tiny race lol... so im conflicted... on top of that no idea what class to play. Ive heard it does not matter but then i try to simply look up what class is for what its like guardian and necromancers and rangers lol
All i hoped is please just dont talk about the classes....
I wish gear progressed, half of my fun is finding more powerful gear.
Guild Wars 2
My friend was #1 in WOW battlegrounds he tried to get me into it for years and I’m finally getting into it this year and feel like I’ve been missing out on so much, I’m more of a pve player tho I like the dungeons
I'm struggling to get into it after playing ffxiv for so long which is a lot more story based rather than exploration ...
GW2 🙂
So we are kind of fucked if we seek a more fun PVP MMO?Because the choice is the same old games that we played 10-15 years ago.I recommend for everyone Warhammer Return of Reckoning if you are looking for something "new" old and fun mmorpg.
This game is that perfect balance between them park and sandbox.
I have played both, and GW2 is the better game overall.
I have an actuall problem. I can't stop playing this game
Sold
loool i started with talisman online too, was a great time :)
You should play World of Warcraft and it's not even close. I saved you 14 minutes
Its simple. If you value YOUR time, play Gw2. If you value the GAME's time, play Wow.
ESO is about the worst pvp system in all mmos, devs never cared for it.
GW2 when u realy master more then one class to be good in PvP... Very good Game ranking ! Thx for the vid. !
this ad on your video is too much man its so long and cant skip it im gonna have to stop watching you.
The new players can't be wrong about how the feel about your game but you can design a game in a wrong way . That's what GW2 is , just a badly designed game .
I promised myself not to come back to gw2 until exploration is account wide and not only on character. I am so fed up with exploring the world over and over and over again. If this never happens, I am never gonna go back I guess.
What game are you showing in the very beginning of the video?
Sooooo, listening to you, the game is shit. Well, good that I've listen to you 10 years too late... I would have been missing a great game.
Worst new player experience in mmos. Bought two expansions, started to play, finished first map - deleted the game and never coming back. Just awful experience. Untill level cap, all you do in game is completing maps and doing quests, which by the way is soooooo slow that you can literally fall asleep. Finishing the map on 100% is so much pain, never had that felling in ANY mmo out there. Character progression is so hard to understand, you literally can't understand anything for dozens of hours. Same with instanced pve - u just won't understand anything without hours of google and UA-cam searching. No way anyone who respects their time will do any of that. Worst mmo for fresh start. It is baseline unplayable unless you ready to spend hours of finding information and watching videos, which is not that easy to find. The whole time playing you feel lost and don't understand what the hell is going on and what are you supposed to do. Have some respect for yourself and don't start this mess
GW2 by a landslide!!
The tricky part about LOTRO is that they can't have thousands of Frodos running around with a Ring of Power around their neck. Therefore, the game cannot put players _directly_ into the story of the books. So, what do players actually do? How can players go on quests without disrupting the events of the books? I have been playing LOTRO since it was in closed beta in 2006. The way the original developers, Turbine, solved this is just brilliant. Instead of putting you directly into the story, which would result in thousands of Gandalfs, Legolases, and Aragorns running around the world, they put you just on the periphery of it. Whether you chose Elf, Hobbit, Man, or Dwarf, you are just another citizen of Middle Earth. The events of the books happen around you and affect you. In the intro quest for men, a Nazgul comes to your little town to make a deal with the mayor through a traitor. A ranger named Amdir becomes aware of this plot and you end up helping him try to foil it. So, the Nazgul are out there trying to find the ring but they're also trying to take over towns and corrupt people to join Sauron's army. One of those towns happens to be the one your character lives in. One of my favorite quests in the whole game happens when you arrive in Rivendell for the first time. You get there just before the fellowship departs. So you get to interact with them. There's an instance quest where you just wander the gardens of Rivendell with Frodo and listen to him talk about what he has been through just to get that far. It is so brilliantly done. You're always crossing paths with or just behind the fellowship. There's another quest where you go to the top of Weathertop and find a rune scratched into a rock by Gandalf. The signs of the fight the fellowship has with the Nazgul on Weathertop are all around you. I love how they wove your character's unique story in and out of the main story from the books. They did such a great job of giving players a unique experience without ruining the lore and story of the books but also making it fun and engaging. But, alas, Turbine eventually sold the game (or the studio was bought out, I don't remember which) and the game became free to play when the new owners took over. It was never the same after that. Don't get me wrong. It is still a fantastic game, even today. It will never be like it was when Turbine was involved.
These games lasting 10+ to 20+ years has stunted the growth of the genre massively. Allowed Arena net and blizzard to just be lazy and never make anything new. Kind of sad. Just milking the games for all they're worth.
It doesn't give them to you, it forces you to buy them.
After a very long break (7 tears) from GW2 I returned and had one of those queen bee items in my inventory. Now I'm "rich". 😊
GW2 W eazy!
