Responding to frustrated family members
This broke my heart. I want to have been there to hug her.
This is a grave Sin and God will Damn you if you do it out of your own free will without any Demonic or “mental” illness.
Catholism is a cult. I was a monastic in the Greek Orthodox Church....I left.
What an incredibly gracious Lady .. This was such a privilege to 'spend time' with her especially after seven years since she left this earth. When she said on her ideas of Faith, 'I think this is the end of me', if only she had realised that even seven years after her death her words, beauty and exceptional dignity were resonating with such a tour de force of remarkability. Thank you ((❤))
She is a very intelligent amazing woman who has some much class & grave even at this time in her life. I love how the Dr lets her speak and does not interrupt her while she is answering his questions. She has been through so much and she kept going until she could no longer teach. She is a very dedicated teacher and I hope that they appreciated her for that.
We are so fortunate in Canada to have this choice.
Highly intelligent and well spoken. She is preferring herself for dying with dignity. ❤
What an elegant classy lady ! Rip ! I can tell she was a fantastic professor as I was glued to her talking
She is such an incredible intelligent woman. I can tell that she is a fighter, but she also is facing the cold hard facts of her situation. I admire her logical thinking and reasoning. She wants to die with her dignity and with a sound mind. May you rest in peace sweet lady. ❤
She is amazing
Oh my goodness. My mother looked like this in rehab after she broke her hip. She must eat good meals round the clock.
ever so graceful
it is super important to know a person's career history. these stories rarely come out. these people have made significant impacts on our lives
She puts CIVIL into 2024 Civilization!
What a beautiful woman!!!
What a moving and compelling story what a nice lady RIP
This comment goes to UA-cam. Why are they putting warning signs before an interview? Why should I have to confirm that I’m ok with somebody talking about their life and their death? Death is a normal part of life, even though many of us wish to avoid it. I shouldn’t be forced to acknowledge that I’m seeing something horrible as if I’m gonna be watching something violent or sexual, which UA-cam has plenty of without warnings. UA-cam do better!
i'm here because the internet bullies not even struggling with myself just tried of people trying to make me look worse than i am
I feel really bad for her 😢
God bless this sweet lady!
Bless this sweet angel, i hope you're resting in paradise. ❤
We don’t know if she is or not big I hope so to but while we are alive we don’t have to guess or hope Christ left the Bible so we can know for sure through our free will to accept or reject him biblical account on eternity I’m order to enter beach after death one must’ be born again Trust by faith that Jesus is God and he proved that by his virus birth his death burial and resurrection so if anyone belive that they will go to heaven for eternity right away after death
What a lady, intelligent, realistic and brave with no drama and pretensions.
God bless her Soul 😢
I think ableism is responsible for the exponential and demonstrable rise in calls for legalised assisted dying. Unfortunately that puts disabled people at risk in terms of the abuse of the system that would inevitably rise. So my response will always be, sorry no. Birth and death is a necessarily messy business. It can be painful, unpredictable and dirty. however both are inevitable. Good luck in birth and death, good luck.
I'm 54 and dying with metastatic breast cancer, (I've been disabled by a different condition my whole adult life). I wonder why anyone elderly, particularly if they believe in a god, would choose suicide/assisted dying.
Everyone is different. I’m 48 and I have had cancer and other aliments in my life and my family know never put me on life support or any kind of measures to keep me alive. Everyone is different.
She is so empathetic and kind.
We need each other badly.
what a kind, wonderful woman. Life is not fair.
Life ain't nothing special, Scott.
Im so glad I got to see this and listen to this lovely lady speak. When my time comes I hope I have the same dignity and grace as her. ❤
Not to take away from her story and I ask this meaning no disrespect, but has anyone else just stopped to think about how crazy our human anatomy is? Our musculoskeletal system is so unique.
I think about that kind of thing a lot. I was going to be a Funeral Director until I was in an accident and messed up my arm permanently. Anyway it’s not weird it’s actually pretty amazing how our bodies work etc.
I too would have enjoyed sitting and listening to her. She excudes class, grace, and respectable intelligence.
Brilliant lady
Bless her, Rip💔
I would have loved to spend 15 minutes with her…what a beautiful human being. RIP, sweet lady.
Incredible... I've never seen a person ... a human being so strong and forthcoming in their life.
Brilliant woman with a fascinating life story. I appreciate that it ended on her terms.
I couldn't help thinking of divorce. The loss of the entity of a marriage seems to parallel the loss felt with the loss of life. It is not meant to be but does often happen and is very painful.
Can’t believe she is 82 🤯
Rest in peace !you have earned it!
She should be able To go the way she chooses !
so very sad - sharp lady - rip good soul
oh what an amazing woman! her joke about trump in office made me giggle 🥺 she has so much grace and pose and a good sense of humor
Jeremiah 1:4 , u born alone u die alone !
Beautiful intelligent lady so much respect for her and totally agree with her I have cancer and would like to leave the earth 🌍 with my faculties ❤❤❤
Such a beautiful, thoughtful interview
I think 82 is a great age to finish up. It’s only a few years past life expectancy, but you’ve lived a long enough life to have seen a lot of things. I’m 55 and in good health despite some high blood pressure, go to the gym to do cardio for 30-45 minutes and finish it off with 15-20 minutes in a sauna followed by a cold shower. I’ll be just fine making it to at least my late 70’s and want to go no more than 90. Why live that long and be a burden to your children? Only people with genetics off the charts and wealthy people living in California and parts of New England are still sharp as a tack and still exercising daily life real long. Or else like my almost 105 year old grandma that’s had Alzheimer’s for years, can’t walk anymore, and doesn’t remember us. One exception was Richard Overton, a WW2 vet that lived to be 112, yet at 109, he still lived independently and drove his truck to the grocery store and church and didn’t need hospice care until 111.
Just wondering what parts of New England have people living a long time? I happen to live in Connecticut and there seems to be a lot of people dying of cancer and heart disease at a young age.
What an lovely and intelligente woman she was. May she rest in peace.
I watched my dad die 😭 😢 💔 from cancer !!! No child 1 to 48 should have to see a loved parent die!! My heart is broken 💔!!it has been broken for 2 years 💔 😢 😔 it never goes away 💔 😔 😢 😪 😞 ❤️ 💔
EUTANAZIJA JE BOLJI IZBOR .
Such a beautiful lady.
What an amazing switched on women. She knows what she wants. I admire her.
