Lonely On My Own - Solo Female Truck Camping Doesn't Go As Expected
So I decided that camping alone would be good for me, but I had the worst time without my person! Not to mention, it rained the whole night and I was freezing hahaha. Originally, this wasn't going to be its own video, but I decided it should be. I'm learning how to use my new filming equipment and I can't wait to get more creative with it. Let me know your thoughts below!

What NOT to Do in the Hidden Gem State of New Hampshire

This video was a cute little experimental video we made while we've been in the process of updating filming and production processes. So, please bear with the editing and how loud our truck tires are...it's a learning curve! This was a fun day in NH for us even though we kind of found out that some of the local favorite spots are not so great. It's a beautiful state if you get the chance to vis...

Sleeping bags do not perform as advertised. For temps in the 20's get a 0 rated bag.
I feel ya on the ebb and flow of solidarity and company. Check out bob bear trail in strawberry sometime. 5 miles to 30 ft waterfall. Great camping near pine estates.
@@marcjaffa That’s the trail I was hoping to do! It was beautiful up there
I've been backpacking around the Southwest and internationally for almost 50 years and I volunteer as a mountain guide for the military. More than half of my clients are women and I genuinely enjoy their willingness to be vulnerable and to ask questions. Guess what? I'm still learning too, and that's half the fun. A couple of unsolicited suggestions: I recommend that if you want to get out in 3 seasons in the SW, get a good quality down sleeping bag, "comfort" rated to a minimum of 15-20 degrees. You can always unzip it or just throw it over the top of you like a blanket if you get too warm. You might be able to find a used one on Craig's list or other outdoor used gear site, or look for a new close-out model on sale. It will last you many seasons. I applaud you for taking a chance, that's how we grow.
@@deepsubmergence9357 Thank you so much!
Great job getting out there! as for sleeping in cold weather, do NOT sleep with clothing on. When you get into you sleeping bag with your under wear on (Thermal underwear) take them off in your sleeping bag. Sleeping with clothing on traps your bodies moisture that is gives off and when you get up in the morning and out side, you will freeze because all the moisture has accumulated in your clothing. So if you pull down your thermals to y our feet and take off your shirt and put it near you, you will be a lot beater All the very Best to you!
@@drewbravo8683 Yeah I was underprepared! Thank you though ☺️
You need to research sleeping bag ratings. It's not just what it says it is.
@@ItchyBurrito That was the lowest temp they had. Didn’t feel like spending a ton of money for one night.
Trump signs mean you're relatively safe and have some good freedom loving people around you. Be safe & enjoy
@@ItchyBurrito It was a very peaceful area, not much going on but it would be a beautiful place to live!

I love being alone ❤. I have my daughter but shes growing up fast and will be out on her own in no time. I will then have to deal with being on my own. I cant wait , I will travel around Australia and hzve soo much fun learning how to do it, im sure ill make quite a few mistakes and laugh at my self . I dream about doing this every night.
@@TimTamRipple I love that! Being on your own is necessary sometimes. It’s nice to share experiences with people you love, too. Learning to handle certain moments alone can be scary, but empowering. There can be a balance 💛 Traveling around Australia will be so beautiful! Keep following your dreams
So proud of you for being so candid about your journey! Being alone is not for everyone and it's ok to admit it. You're doing great! 🥰
Thank you! ❤

Propane heaters or a solar collector that heats the water directly by the heat of the sun are the way to go. Alternatively, a pump sprayer with an extended hose and shower head works great, just heat a kettle and add it do the cold water in the sprayer
I wonder if there's a treatment we're supposed to do to maintain it. Like a way to lubricate it or something so it doesn't dry out and get brittle. I bet Armor All makes something.
Those breakfasts are massive, my any measure that isnt American. But, my asshole comment aside, NH is truly one of my favorite places in the world
@@anthonyelder7158 True, when you go out for a pancake breakfast you’re usually expecting pancakes the size of the plate in America lol we were just hungry after the two hour ride there. It was a cute place in a beautiful part of NH!
@@cosmosnomads Fair enough! I do picture a stack like 6" high for a typical "pancake breakfast" followed by a long nap

New Hampshire makes Oregon look weak.

Haha the snip about the roads in WV! I'm from there and grew up on a road like the one you showed and Luke is always complaining about how they're like 1.5 lanes 😅 glad you guys enjoyed it there tho!
Hahaha we had no business being on a road that small with a truck so big. I can’t believe that’s a common type of road in WV!
I connect with wanting to leave the state that you grew up in. Returning for anything more than a short visit feels like a defeat. When I came back to Tennessee, even though it was returning to university to ensure that future when I never have to come back for more than those short visits, I still felt dirty - a bit like an imposter too.
Defeat is what I was feeling! It’s nice to know that it’s a shared feeling of displacement.
What an awesome video. Thank you two for sharing your journey with us. Can't wait to see you, and Dunkin donuts sucks. They are not the same at least in NH.
We couldn’t believe how much less expensive they are than Starbucks is though! Two large iced coffees at Dunks was $9 where they were $15 at Starbucks 😳
Oh am I EVER!!!!!!❤❤❤❤ LOVE to have them home!!!!!
I’m sure your mom is thrilled to have you home for a bit! One stop on your journey! ☀️☀️☀️
