awesome, i saw a few stingray/skate fossils in there too, hope you got those as well :)
Hi, I'm happy you like the video !! i hope I picked up the stingray fossils !! I actually don't remember lol!
Excellent work I love it very cool 😎 do sell theam
I am so glad you like it! yes I do sell shark tooth necklaces and bracelets, not this one though! this one is the first great white I ever found and I wear this necklace myself. you can check my Etsy page Les Bijoux Luna, I will be adding more necklaces soon!
@adventureswithcjemsailings962 thank you ok cool
It looks like you did pretty well for only being there for a short time
yes indeed, in only 2 1/2 hours I found all these!, I can't wait to go back for a full day!
Illegal to sift below the water line in sc.
that's good to know, I never hunted for Shark Teeth in SC but always wanted to go. Is it all beaches? where do you usually go?
@@adventureswithcjemsailings962 I believe it's a state law. We just visited Myrtle Beach and that's pretty good. But I'm not from here so I couldn't really say for sure
I only find 25 a day thanks to you 😄
whoa!!! 25 a day that's really good, in the past few weeks here the conditions have not been so good and the most I've found in a day was 4!! which beach do you go to?
Do you wear a chest or head video recorder since both hands seem to be free?
hi, no I actually hold the phone in one hand and collect the treasures with the other one, that's why I have to put my scooper down after I scoop a tooth so I can grab it from the basket while recording with the other hand but I am considering looking into a neck strap for my phone.
Thank you. I enjoy your adventures and appreciate you sharing them with us.
awww you are very welcome, I'm glad you are enjoying them! ☺️
But i liv in Greece
What is the reason the sharks teeth are black?
because these are fossilized shark teeth and they will turn black over the thousands of years ( from 10,000 years old to 2 millions years old in my area) by absorbing the minerals found in the sediments where they are buried.
thank you so much, this is just what I have been looking for. I have these 50yr old cowrie shells from Fiji ❤ many thanks
awww you're welcome!! I'm so glad that you will be able to make a necklace with your shells! I would love to see a picture when you are done.
Your sweating in French when excited makes me love you more. Thank you for sharing. I will ne at Juno Bch in the morning. Wish me luck.
lol!!French is my first language and even though I live in Florida now and speak English all the time I still swear in French! yes I do get very excited when I find a tooth, its like a treasure hunt. I hope you had fun in Juno beach and let me know if you found anything!
I saw it
Спасибо Давно хотела найти такое видео. Привезла кораллы с Занзибара, мечтаю их носить🫶
you are very welcome!!!
help
If you go to Bone Valley, you will find a lot of shark teeth
yes, Bone valley is awesome, I'm going next weekend, I'm excited!
Thank you🧡 Very good tutorial 🧡
you're welcome!
Thanks you so much for this tutorial! I just finished mine. Just had a problem toward the end I ran out of one side of the cord used to make the square not. Managed to use my Macgyver skills by tying more thread on it. Doesn’t look the best but still it worked! Again thanks you for this video it was very clear and easy to understand.
you are very welcome!
You sound quebecois :p
lol! its because je suis Quebecoise d'origine! I don't think I will ever lose my accent
Thank you so much! Im going to cocoa beach over the weekend and i hope to find some shark teeth! 💙🦈
You're welcome! I don't know if they are shark teeth on cocoa beach, the closest one I know with shark teeth is Melbourne and st-augustine but if you find some, let me know! have fun
@@adventureswithcjemsailings962 thank you for letting me know! I think we will be going to that beach now :) I told my pod about it! 🐬
Cool! St-Augustine (Mickler's landing beach) has awesome sand tiger shark tooth. but just remember that sometimes you can go to the same beach and find 50-100 teeth on a day and on another nothing. so if you travel from far and you get there on a bad day, plan for another activity for that area
THANK YOU!
You're welcome!
If you have seen how they obtain shark's teeth, you'd be ashamed. They pull them out of the ocean and cut off their teeth and fins and throw them back in to die. People kill 300,000 sharks a day. Sharks are vital for a healthy ocean.
I know it's horrible. I contribute to reef preservation and everything sea life. what people do to our oceans is crazy. I guess I should mention in my videos that all the shark teeth, seagrass and shells are treasures that I find on the beach. I do have a video on how to find shark teeth on the beach. I don't know if you assume that I buy my shark teeth for sending me your comment. not sure if your comment is negative or positive, it's always hard to tell when in writing. but this tooth in this video I found in Juno Beach, it is a fossilized great white shark tooth and very rare to find in this kind of color, they are usually black or grayish in color, this tooth is about 5000 years old. thank you for your interest in my video. Merry Christmas
You are by far the best diving buddy for lobstering...hands down! You video, scouted and pointed them out, held dive flag when needed and held even held the goody bag!
Thank you!!! I love doing it but I suck at actually catching them so I'm glad im good at the rest, its definitely a team effort!!
What mm thread did you use?
I use the waxed polyester 1 mm
Hi, great tutorial, do you know where I can purchase those kind of teeth? I only find fossile teeth or resins ones on etsy...best wishes, Tanja
Hi, you can find them on Etsy, just look for fossilized shark teeth or real shark teeth. I also have a few great white shark teeth that I haven't put on a necklace of you are interested you can message me on my Etsy shop and I can you pictures of what I have.www.etsy.com/shop/LesBijouxLuna?ref=l2-about-shopname
Do you sell that product?
hi, this specific necklace is not for sale, it is actually the first great white shark tooth that I found and I made it into a necklace for myself, it means a lot to me. I do have other great white shark tooth that I can put on a necklace for you if you want a custom necklace and you can visit my Etsy store www.etsy.com/shop/LesBijouxLuna?ref=l2-about-shopname I have other shark tooth necklace there and you can see the different styles and message me there so I can send you pictures of other great white teeth I have
TYSM IT HELPED ALOT by the way I just found a big megalodon teeth
that's awesome, where did you find the meg?
This is so helpful! I was looking with all of the big shells. Tomorrow I’ll look in the broken shells area. Thank you!
You're welcome! But remember the ocean sorts/ organizes its treasure by size so you may find a bigger tooth amongst the big shell, I found a great white in the big shell once!
@@adventureswithcjemsailings962 day 3 and no teeth yet. I think this beach is just barren of shark teeth unfortunately
not all beaches have shark teeth unfortunately. what beach are you going to?
@@adventureswithcjemsailings962 We are at Melbourne beach in FL. We were very lucky to find one last year. Zero this year unfortunately. Not the best beach to find some apparently
you can find teeth in Melbourne, I have been there before and found some but not that many. If you go North to St-Augustine you will find a lot! or South in Juno Beach which is where I am, thousands!
very useful thank you! i am just learning and this was such a good tutorial
You're welcome ! im happy that my tutorial helped, I hope you make yourself an awesome necklace!
This helped me a lot. Thank you!
You're welcome!
What beach are you at? Love that it’s not over crowded!
its in Juno Beach
Amazing finds
thank you
Ohh this is looking so pretty 🤩
thank you!
So cool! Thank you for sharing! Going to try to make one for my partner and her daughter.
you're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed it and you are going to make some for your family!
How would I do this with shells that have a tiny hole and not the back gone?
you need an entry point and an exit point for the string so with only 1 hole is it not possible, you can either try to break the back with a hammer ( that's how I remove the back on full cowrie shells but you have to be really carefully and use a rag, I've broken many shells in the beginnings) or you can try to drill another hole
@@adventureswithcjemsailings962 Ooh I was thinking, maybe I would be able to fit both strings in the one tiny 1 mm hole.
It looks incredible!! ✨❤️
thank you so much!!! ☺️
Do you have a video for the hemp necklace? I like that one also. Your work is simple and elegant. Thank you.
Are you talking about the necklace I'm wearing in the video?
I like this one. I also made your cowrie anklet. Nice pace in your video.
thank you!! I'm glad my videos are helpful
What type of string?
it is a double-stranded waxed polyester string I used the linhasita brand www.amazon.com/Linhasita-Polyester-Waterproof-Resistant-Friendship/dp/B089Q8HX7H/ref=sr_1_2?crid=1R9D6WSWYHY1T&keywords=linhasita+waxed+polyester+cord&qid=1658267953&sprefix=linhasi%2Caps%2C108&sr=8-2
Is the cord cotton?
sorry never got a notifications for this question no it is a waxed polyester cord
do you used waxed cord?
yes I used linhasita waxed polyester cord, you can get it from Amazon www.amazon.com/Linhasita-Polyester-Waterproof-Resistant-Friendship/dp/B089Q8HX7H/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=linhasita+waxed+polyester+cord+1mm&qid=1657401389&sprefix=linhas%2Caps%2C117&sr=8-2
where so you buy your cowrie shells?
those are shells that I found on the beach. I'm not sure where you can buy shells, I would start with Amazon
i found a sand shark tooth this spring break but its sorta long and curvy, im gonna try this out anyways : 0)
cool! long and curvy that sounds like a sand tiger shark tooth! I love those, let me know how it turns out!
I will try this. Have collected teeth and never knew what to do with them. Love it.
that's awesome, let me know how it turns out!
So pretty, i'm trying it soon!
cool! let me know how it turns out!
Thank you so much! i have just finished mine and so happy with the result!!! Blessings and prosperity for you and yours!!!
You're very welcome, I'm happy you found my video and were able to make a beautiful necklace!!!
Beautiful, what size is string diameter?
the string is 1mm in diameter and I use Linhasita brand
Please list your supplies, type and measurements in your description panel. Thank you so much. Really liked your video.
thank you for your feedback, I added the info in the description panel.
Excellent craftsmanship!! 🔥🔥
thank you!
What type of string is that and where can i get it?
its a waxed polyester string double stranded. you can buy rolls on Etsy or amazon the brand is Linhasita or in Costa Rica in San Jose, I also started making starter kits with strings for bracelets or necklaces with different kind of shells, if you want to buy the exact amount of strings already cut to size for this necklace contact me either by DM on instagram @lesbijouxluna or by email lesbijouxluna@hotmail.com
@@adventureswithcjemsailings962 perfect thanks!
Boa tarde. Dá certo fazendo com um fio só no meio?
Sim! yes you can use only one thread in the middle, the important is that the 2 in the back makes an "x" under that middle thread. the only thing with using only 1 thread in the middle is that the square knot section will be skinnier. let me know if you have more questions and I would love to see the result after you make it! Emilie
@@adventureswithcjemsailings962 thank you so much, darling 🌼
you're welcome!
Why do you touch the marine life?
hello Jim, that was before we did our PADI underwater naturalist specialty class where we learn not to disturb marine life. thank you for your concern
