'Things a Lesbian Should Know' poetry reading by Susan Hawthorne at #filia 2022
We women have to fight tooth and nail.
The Radical Feminist, Radical Feminist is Susan Hawthorne!!!
I'm a lesbian from the United States with Potawatomi and Delaware blood, and these land acknowledgements are silly and pointless. Outside of Africa, there's nowhere on Earth where ANYONE evolved on the land they occupy or occupied. All countries are owned by the strongest current occupants. It's how life has always worked. Grow up.
It's gone cold again in Melbourne, and Kali's fury developed into destructive storms in the lead up to the AAT/LAG tribunal hearings. Can I now recline for a wee bit and disappear in my core being? Lesbian, can't wait! So many beautiful words and meanings in this launch. Delicious!!! 💜♀♀💜😘
Excellent! Thank you! ❤
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
One of the ways to offset climate change is to establish mega biogas plants to generate methane for use as cooking fuel thereby partially substituting for fossil fuels. This is not impossible if there is a political will. In this context, the countries with animal power should take a lead in the production of methane for domestic use.
Vandana and the team , thank you very much for this interview and discussion of the book. I feel so furious when I see all the gimmicks they are upto, and I think it is a very good idea to send them to Mars or the Moon!
I’m in California, USA, and messed up the time of the launch. So sorry to have missed it! Dr. Vandana Shiva is one of my “superwomen” sheroes. For me, she is the *embodiment* of Mahadevi. ☮❤🐾
So glad you posted it. Was great to listen to all of you. ❤
So sorry I missed the launch. I got the time wrong! I've put the book up as one to read for our February Book Club.
How lovely!
🙌🙌🙌
May I ask, as a lesbian myself, why does it worry you that gays and lesbians believe that homosexuality is innate? I figure it’s innate. Even if it weren’t, it would still be okay. But I think it probably is innate - and what’s wrong with that?
Brilliant ❤ thank you
I will not watch the Olympics because their nasty actions and disrespect!
Jennifer Bs, research into this horrendous cult is second to none. Thank you.
There are observable differences between male and female brains. Never has one been found in the, "wrong body".
surrogacy modern slavery
Thank you, I will be looking for the book.
Thank you both! 💚🤍💜
Thank you very much Spinifex team and of course Jennifer B. Have bought the book, can't wait to read. X
Wow. A correct use of myriad introducing Jennifer Bilek. How wonderful
You lost me at Steve Bannon and the now outdated phony biotech start up industries of the twenty teens of which Rothblatt et al failed to materialise. Rothblatt is only respected for their work on kidney transplantation and radio satellites.
Just bought the book. Jennifer Bilek has an insight into this more than anyone else right now.
Thank you all!
Thank you to all the brilliant courageous women in this video. Jennifer Bilek herself, Susan Hawthorne and Renate Klein, Caroline Norma. You keep our women's revolution alive, nurtured and inspirational. Buy Jennifer's book, and check the other publications by Spinifex Press.
This talk is awesome. Wish it had more views and comments.
Please share it far and wide!
Thanks for making this available online! Really enjoyed the conversation and outline of the book.
Thank you for watching and supporting the release of the book
This was such a great book launch to begin my weekend. It nourished my heart and mind. Great words, as always, from Susan and Renate. Well chosen words to introduce the launch from Bronwyn Winter and much information and wisdom from the book's author Laura Lecuona xx
Thank you as always for your support of the press.
I lead a healthy lifestyle and have good genetics. Im now 71. Trust me, enough surgeries will come your way just for you to stay alive. You don't need to add physically unnecessary ones to the list. Just some I remember: - cholescystectomy (age 42) - two separate vaginal repairs and operations for urinary incontinence (thanks, two pregnancies) - cancer operations (x3) - 2 surgeries for broken knee (thanks flat cement path) - multiple colon investigations (thanks cancer) - chemo & radiotherapy (thanks colon & breast cancers) - thank goodness I had natural births otherwise I could add 2 caesareans to my list (oh wait, perineum stitches) -then there's the catarct surgery soonish
Thanks.

Kajsa: in you´re book you talk about a real big issue that you did not bring up here. The change of ontology in the socialist movment. From a materistisk ontology to a idealistic. This topic is realy importent and you realy example it well in the trangender case. Thatis a subject i like to se. It is importent for philosophy of politics and the marxist movment.
Fantastic relentlessly researched and reasoned book - can't recommend it highly enough!
After reading a couple of dozen books over the last year and a half on gender-ideology and CRT - I must say that Kajsa's book absolutely stands out. It stands out for her research, her clear incisive reasoning and for her absolute relentlessness in pursuit of honest discussion and depiction of how the new ideologies regarding gender and sex negatively impact all women as a group. I can't recommend it highly enough.
She sure has a profound effect on the world, thank you for doing what you are doing, for everything you have done. what could be more important than saving the planet?
I bought this book and think it is very well written. The points made throughout the book are cogent. I had never before heard of Spinifex Press. The footnotes on most pages are helpful to direct the reader to find factual support of the author's arguments. I am not a feminist, just an American guy born in the '50's. This is a very facinating subject and one more strange era in the history of Western culture.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts - please share far and wide!
This book was incisive and brilliant. I'm gushing about it to everyone. Thanks for your work, Max, and thanks to Julie for the conversation.
I hope a film comes out of this how sad that a child can be so poorly respected as a growing being
i loved the audiobook!
Tell all of your friends, share on social media!!!!! Every bit helps, thank you.
I grew up in the 50s and 60s and I was a tomboy as early as the age of 3. I did not play with dolls. My sister - a year younger - loved dolls. I preferred little cars and trains and mechano sets. My parents let us be. They never said or did anything that drew attention to our different interests. They accepted them. In fact my father built a gas station for my toy cars. Imagine that! I loved reality and did not believe in Santa Clause either at about the same age. A point of interest: my parents were not religious. I am grateful everyday that trans ideology did not exist back then and that gender affirmation was not a therapeutic technique. When it did become a popular technique back around 2013 and when I learned about the steps it would take to transition, even had I wanted to transition, I would not have done it. The ‘thalidomide’ scare in the 60s had already put me on the road to caution about all drugs. There are also always enough potential surgical complications for medical necessities that also made me cautious - not that I don’t see the need for surgical intervention. But why go through it if it’s not necessary.
Max's book is amazing, she is a very articulate writer ❤
Please post more videos 💖💖💖♀️♀️♀️
❤
The lack of courage among those who stay at the first level (trans = diversity) is the problem, I fully agree. Thanks for the eloquent description.
Brilliant. This sounds like a much-needed book.
You can’t mention the UK without mentioning Kellie Jay-Keen and her Standing For Women events. I’ve spoken at one with her standing watch in the US. Thanks for mentioning her. 47:18
Kajsa’s book is a must-read, even for those of us who have been very immersed in this.
Looking forward to this book. I have read her before and she's totally legit in her research and analysis. Thanks
Does she forget to mention that PLENTY of women participate WILLINGLY in the sex market, is all mens fault according to this women
