Before you order it. I run a Sennheiser ME2 lav mic plugged into the Mic2, that is in my back pocket. The audio is more from that lav mic than the Mic2. I more or less use the Mic2 for the wireless aspect. I ran the Sennheiser ME2 plugged in to the Action4 but still in my pocket for awhile, I just got annoyed with plugging & unplugging the cable to take my helmet on & off.

I overlaid the external audio for the first couple month but finally realized that I didn’t need to anymore with the gain at -12. It’s not as bad as a zoom to overlay if you run it connected & have it recording externally too. And Thank you!

It’s definitely not a bike for everyone but if you understand the characteristics of what you’re buying, I think this is a great bike. I have upgraded the rear shock & rear sprocket, 37t to 39t now. I still like the 9L tank better but avg 60+ mpg & normally always have a gas station somewhere around. The fuel light & bar doesn’t do anything till half a tank but at least it has a light. Lol

Don’t use the noise canceling because it takes more of the bike sound away than anything. I run it with all the options turned on, on the Action4 beside low cut is off. I plug a Sennheiser ME2 mic into the Mic2 & have the Lav mic in my back pocket. Then the Mic2 in my flannel pocket. Gain level at -12. I’ll make a video sometime soon of my setup how I like it.

Have you tried the 32bit internal overlay from the mic2? It’s definitely better than what the Bluetooth audio is without an additional lav mic. How I have my setup now I’m really happy with right out of the camera. Mic2 clipped on my chest with the Sennheiser ME2 lav in my back pocket. Sends a good signal to the Action4 (-12 gain) on the helmet. But always record 32bit backup audio.

The wireless mic has really opened the potential of the Action4. It is risky but I only do it if I feel comfortable. How I did the helmet mount with Allen bolts instead of thumb screws really helped.

This was a great spot in all. The lack of traffic was making me double check because I couldn’t believe there was no one out. I have been slacking on finally getting the drone to track me. I need to make the mount on the tank bag for the controller. I really enjoyed how this video turned out.

Yes you can BUT as far as I know you can still only have one hooked(wirelessly) to the camera at a time. So one would have to be synced in post. I personally would have exhaust connected & sync voice in post. I will be making a video about how I choose to do my audio now that I have gotten used to the setup.

No the standard one

I personally found the statement seat more comfortable. To me the seam across the stock seat was uncomfortable. I never tried the other seats Triumph makes, I wanted the more minimalist look.

The gear I use in each video is always in the description. I use a Dji Action4 with a Dji Mic2 Bluetooth connected but I plug in a Sennheiser ME2 Lav to the Mic2 & have the Lav in my back pocket. I really need to make a video about this soon lol 🤘

@Atopper I knew you use the action 4 and the mic, how you record such good sound is what I'm interested in, I've got a action 4 on the way.

Sorry, so many people recently have been asking me my setup. I forgot who I’ve even told 😅. The Sennheiser ME2 lab has a SPL lever of 130db & I think that makes a big difference. Sennheiser also makes two higher quality ones with a 140db SPL but it depends what you want to spend. I personally think it’s all worth it for the user interface & least amount of post work. 👍

Thank you! It was not bad once I got up to Annapolis. I live like 30mins away & it was soaked. Was it actively raining during your ride? Leading it was not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be, it went super smooth & no one was made that I was filming one handed while leading lol.

It was misty and we were sub 30mph 85% of the ride. For sure hard to keep the visor usable. But we got to ride over the boston marathon finish line, under the green monster, and through the seaport. All and all great ride with positivity from all the riders. Super glad your lead spot went smoother than anticipated. Looks like yall had a good crowd. I assume a lot of your riders were like you and coming from the surrounding area.

That’s about the same as ours, ran the visor up two clicks the whole time. I hope someone makes a video about the Boston ride, I’d like to see it. I’m excited to get up there & ride one day. The two guys right behind me were from DC, I don’t remember where most of them were from other than people in town. Our ride was capped to 65 bikes but heard it maybe more towards 75. I dont know how many actually showed up over the whole span but we are aiming to grow it next year.

Oh man sorry you had to deal with that kinda weather too. I will say there was another ride a bit closer to me that rode a more fun route but still glad i went for the boston ride to have the experience. Ill see if i can find the ride and link it. I know there were a few youtubers there. Maybe next year ill record it. Thats pretty sick more people tagged along to go over the cap. And drawing people away from rhe dc ride is impressive.

Definitely let me know if you find a video. It’s awesome that people chose to come some distance to the Annapolis ride. I heard ours was larger than Baltimores I think.

@@Atopper Does the audio suck when only using mic 2 without Sennheiser ME2 lav? Im planning to get mic 2 for high speed v4 engine sounds.

It doesn’t suck, it’s just difficult since mics are typically used for voices & have different dbs range than motorcycles. The spec that I really look for is SPL level. Most mics (wired or wireless) are normally 105-125 SPL. The Sennheiser ME2 has a 130SPL & I can tell the difference in recorded exhaust quality. Sennheiser even have some higher end Lav mics with a 140SPL that would be sweet. The setup I have suits me best for run& gun; exhaust, voice & ambient noise all are captured in good quality for post loudness adjustment. Let me know if you have any more questions

I think it’s a mental thing with when I grew up riding bmx. The more pads(gear) I wore tended to make me fall more because of lack of movement. Not an excuse or reasoning, just honestly think that’s why I don’t wear gear more. I have been looking to get a jacket/flannel.

Try out both is you can. They both are great bikes. I personally prefer the Triumph Bobber for my style overall but doesn’t mean it’s the better choice for you.

That’s awesome. I’ve had hero 6/8/11 & insta360 rs, nothing stood close to the action4 to me. The audio takes a minute to get dialed in to what you want but if you’re getting the Dji Mic2 as well. It’ll be that bit easier. Let me know if you have any questions & I can try to help. 🤘

@Atopper will do!! I like the fact that there's a quick release style mount, no risk of over heating, batteries can have their own storage. At least from what I've seen. I'm sure it'll be a game changer once I get one. I'm testing out a budget camera, it's fun but no action 4

The quick mount is amazing & mine has gotten warm but never overheated. The battery storage is sweet plus storage for two spare micro sd cards. On an average of 4k/30 i'm getting right under 2hrs per battery.

Thank you Vinny! I’m excited to one day ride in Connecticut or PNW lol. As far as recording in my videos, I always have the gear I use in that specific video in the description. My POV setup is the Dji Action4 on my helmet, Bluetooth connected to the Dji Mic2. I have a Sennheiser ME2 Lav mic in my back pocket (with double wind socks, foam in a fur) plugged into the Dji Mic2. Gain is set to -12. Not the cheapest setup but I love it, super convenient & reliable.

I currently do not. I have resisters plugged into the harness. This was going to be a temporary thing but it's been awhile. I never found a small setup that I liked. I will get some on this year.
