My Neighbors Hate Me!!! Drums At 7 AM
LOVE the footage of the students doing their thing!!
Thank you! I thought this would be a fun video to do… super proud of those kids.
I like this kind of content! I feel like guitar reviews are right up your alley!! I'd like to see some overlayed footage of the body, headstock, neck, pickups, knobs/dials, etc. as you're talking about them so we can actually see what you're talking about up close instead 5 feet away with a grainy webcam. Maybe you could use your phone camera to get those shots to add some depth to the video :)
Awesome! I will do that! I am glad that you liked it! Thank you so so much! I will implement all of the tips! You rock man! Thank you for helping me!
Ian says hi
@@ianjohnson1324 hey there brother! I hope all is well! It has been a long time! Where you located these days?
Love the videos by the way dude!
My dude. You said that intros to songs should be like 15 seconds or less, but your video intro is like... twice that?? I have questions. I am evidently, a shitty producer. :p
I do what I want. lol 😂❤
For sure my favorite quote ever is “Fix it in Pre!”
Greg, hit me up! It's Ian! Same ol' phone number
That Mesa Boogie is the reason for my mild tinnitus. Standing in front of it for so many shows was fun, but I'm paying for it now! :)
Yeah... I am surprised that I haven't lost more hearing over the years than I have... we used to play loud.
Yeah man! Get it correct at the source
@@stickslinger96 absolutely! Thanks for watching, Fred!!! Much love and respect!
John Lennon once said in an interview: “Christianity will go. It will vanish and shrink. I needn't argue about that; I'm right and I will be proved right. We're more popular than Jesus now; I don't know which will go first-rock 'n' roll or Christianity."
@@DBTechYT I always loved that interview!
Love your stuff Greg. Thank you for being my guide as I attempt to reach my own guitar dreams.
@@MattSmith-n8k thank you so much! I am glad that you enjoy my videos! Remember! Enjoy the guitar for what you are playing today! Tomorrow will come soon enough! 😊
I was there for that show! Couldn't believe he was surfing that rail like that!
@@DBTechYT yes! I have the recordings we made that night too… Ehrmahgherd…. That was a wild night. lol
Nice!
Rachel and I were talking about what the top 5 would be. We called 3 of them! :)
Which three? I love you guys!
@@gregorygoodellofficial Zeppelin, Bush, 3 Doors Down ;)
Your gate is taking a lot away from the snare, and it’s clicking and popping from the attack time being so short.
Probably. Everyone’s mileage will of course vary… and I am always open to criticism. This was a trick I picked up a long time ago and was just sharing. It isn’t for everything and it isn’t for everyone. Thank you for taking the time to comment!
Just found your channel...SUBSCRIBED!
Awesome! Thank you!
Omg, I forgot the Knitting Factory was called the Big Easy. Wow, what a flashback.
Also, I still don't know how my guitars work. I only know pedals. 🤓
Right!! Some of my future stories will go back even further… it’s going to be super fun!
"Good old <looks at list> Brice."
I really need to have someone show me how to do a full setup on my bass. I've been tinkering with it for a while and have it close, but I'm sure that someone with more experience than I have could do a better job in setting it up properly.
The I will do a how to video! That will be fun!
@@gregorygoodellofficial That would be really cool. I'm going to have to get new strings i think, though. I didn't wrap them around the tuning pegs enough before I cut them and now I get a lot of rattle when I play my E and A strings, but I can temporarily mitigate it by putting a little pressure on the tuning peg. Really frustrating, but lesson learned :)
@@DBTechYT Wild... basses can be very finicky.
I miss mixing music. I enjoy video editing so much these days and now watching these... makes me miss this aspect of things :)
It is fun taking things from an idea to a fully realized and fleshed out production.
I was a little nervous about releasing something that had scratches that were ... rough... to say the least but i think that there is an honesty that is relatable.
Was that "Believe It" at the beginning?
Yea it was… I found an old cut from a really bad tape transfer… crazy and super cool.
Excellent advice! I need to take that into consideration when I make agreements with myself when working on my own projects.
Hahaha! Love you brother! Thank you for watching! I hope you are having an awesome day!
I've found that some of my stress levels go down when I "miss an opportunity" to work with certain people or brands because of the rate I quote them for the project. Often times, clients with lower budgets for projects will be the hardest to work with because they may be paying you their last $500 and will do everything to get the most out of it, even if that means making your life more difficult. When I started charging more, I started getting better clients who weren't as micro-managing as my previous-tier clients were.
Absolutely. That has been my experience as well. I am not where I want to be yet but I have at least got to the point where I can pick my gigs rather than HAVE to take them all on.
I dig it. Never seen someone use a jug like this, but that's pretty cool!
I don't remember where I picked up this trick but I thought it would be a fun share.
So the subkick acts as a mic then?
Yes. The speaker acts as a very large diaphragm to pick up low lows. Super fun. Thanks for watching!
Gotta be the best intro music yet! Think you're going to need a few more pedals on that board. 😮💨
I am sure that you have one that does it all. Hahahaha
"Almost scotch". I love it.
Those stories are coming! Hahaha
I remember recording on something like that back in the day!
Love seeing you doing UA-cam videos again your videos are always entertaining for sure I wish you the best of luck buddy hope to visit you in June
You're not rich? You're not famous? You don't know everything? Could have fooled me! 😮💨
Thank you for watching, my friend!!
No one is perfect every one makes mistakes and even If I sing and play guitar (greg is my teacher) I am still never going to be perfect at it and I will always make big ass mistakes playing guitar
Makes me want to upgrade my Ibanez 4 string for the G&L I used to have. I've found a few on eBay for around 600 bucks, but they all seem to ship from China or Japan and I don't want to deal with customs or imports.
I loved that G & L ASAT. It was such a great guitar.
Following links from your repetitive arrogant insulting posts in a Mandela effect group brought me here. It’s just confirmed to me you are really on another planet. Planet Goodell, and you’re the only one on it. Talking to yourself and telling everyone how smart and awesome you are. These socials just prove your not.
You’re
I remember my first show was also around 5 hours only a couple of weeks after I picked up a bass for the first time!! And that Mesa Boogie about blew out my ears every time we played!
Those are on the list for future stories!!
Awesome stuff, brother! Looking forward to it!
It is going to be super fun. I have unearthed some cool pics of you and I as I dug through a bunch of this old stuff. We were YOUNG. Wild.
Good stuff!! Looking forward to more videos!
Thank you! This should be a lot of fun!
This channel is gonna go up man!🔥🔥🔥
Thank you! I hope you are having a great day! if you have specific questions, you can ask me here and I will try to answer them in a video.
I just got to know your channel cuz I searched “how to record only using a boombox” and wow man! You are something else. I’m just starting to record my self and I’m always looking in the internet people like you that have experience, and that are willing to share their knowlegde. Love your content, you are so fucking talented!!:)
Then you are going to love what is coming… videos will start launching tomorrow.

Awesome
Sounds great! how can i use this with a live recording through an xair18 ?
Hey thx for the video, can you actually drive this thing?
Nice video....I have the Model 24 (used very little for experiment) Also have the Art Pro MPA ii pre amp and not sure how to patch it in the 24. Iv'e read that a mic pre into another mic pre is a no no. Thanks for any reply in advance.
Thank you! I love the MPA IIs! They are great. As far as patching it into the board, there really are no rules. The Tascam preamps are lovely, but running your MPA into the direct inputs on the Tascam (any channel) will not hurt a thing. I would use it as a vocal preamp (or anything else for that matter) with no problems! Good luck and enjoy!
@@gregorygoodellofficial Thanks Man, what do you think about the matching Art Pro-VLA II compressor?
@@jimgresham5529 They are a great unit. I usually do all my compression processing within the DAW (except for what hits on the front end,) but they are a fantastic tool!
Wish the board had more than 2 outputs for stage monitors/headphones.
As a live sound recording solution I find that it fits the bill well for most musicians but there are a few things I would like it to have if it were a dedicated recording console. Channel inserts on every channel would be nice as well as a couple more monitor sends. By and large though, it is an excellent solution for many small home studios as well as touring groups.
Do I need to download anything into my laptop (Abelton ) to use the Model 24 as an interface, or should it just pop up?
It will appear for mac and Windows will require the driver download from Tascam.
Love the video. So when you mixed this from the board (which is what I think you did), did the master file turn out to be two separate tracks (23 and 24) or a stereo track combining 23 and 24? I tried mixing with the unit and when I pop the SD card into the computer, it shows separate tracks for 23 and 24.
It has been a while since I did this video, but I think that the overall mix was taken from 23-24.
Did you ever do the video of just mixing with the Model 24 itself?
I do most of my mixing in ProTools just because my usual track count and bussing exceeds the output numbers going back into the Model 24... that being said, I have done it for fun a time or two. I will post something mixing that way toward the beginning of the new year.
@@gregorygoodellofficial Cool thanks!
