Are you running this in PowerShell ISE or regular PowerShell?

@@HerschelWilliams I think the issue is you are currently in an interactive shell rather than PowerShell ISE. One way to handle this is to write out the commands in PowerShell ISE, save them to a .ps1 file and then run the .ps1 file then run the script. If you want to stay in the current PowerShell session, then you'll have to go line by line for the for loop. The command will run once you complete the for loop with the outer curly brace "}". Below I pasted an example. Hope this helps! PS C:\Users\your_name> Set-Location "C:\Users\your_name\Downloads" PS C:\Users\your_name\Downloads> >> $song_names = (Get-ChildItem).Name PS C:\Users\your_name\Downloads> $artist = 'Jimi Hendrix -' PS C:\Users\your_name\Downloads> foreach ($name in $song_names){ >> $len = $name.Length -2 >> Write-host $name.substring(2,$len) >> $new_file_name = $artist + $name.substring(2,$len) >> Rename-Item $name -NewName $new_file_name >> } (press enter here to execute)

@@sunnyyoda Hello! You can follow the steps below. Hope this helps! 1. Select the cells you want to split. 2. Go to the "Data" tab on the ribbon. 3. Click "Text to Columns". 4. Select "Delimited" and click Next. 5. In the Delimiters section, check "Space, Comma, and Other" then type : in the "Other" box. 6. Click "Next" then "Finish".

if anyone is encountering problem you have some problem in your powershell so you can do this "Get-ExecutionPolicy " then do this "Set-ExecutionPolicy -Scope Process -ExecutionPolicy Bypass", then activate it your not executing venv.
