@haesoner thanks glad you dig it!!🙏🏾🙌🏾 It’s the mpd 32 by akai.
How are you using the push with koala? I want to use the push with one but haven’t bought one but am LOOKING for a reason 😂
@@mothershipco I’m using the push as a midi controller. There’s a free koala app for the Mac.

@@jacobpotts298 thanks bro! I appreciate it! Glad you dig it🙌🏾🙏🏾
As a producer myself i always appreciate incredible setups like this properly routed and clean with someone who understands how to make all these work and communicate with each other. But the realist in me wonders why not just use the DAW vs buying all this? Dont get me wrong this is WAY cooler. But my god. The investment. 😊
@@intermixturemusic thanks for watching. I do it cause I love the hands on approach and feel of the equipment. I have Ableton, fl studio, logic, and countless other daws. I love that every session is an experience on to itself vs programming in music where I can feel repetitive and boring at times. Also some happy accidents can’t be replicated with programming in a DAW. I appreciate learning new skills and understanding how things work outside of a computer program. I am considering downsizing though.
@@intermixturemusic I have tutorials and videos using Daws and equipment as well on this page and others. So everything does serve a purpose at one time or another. This is just one quick performance video.
This changes the game entirely

Nice beat 🔥. What midi controller are you using?
@@Archaon12 it’s the mpd32 from akai. I’m not sure if they make them anymore but you can buy one off eBay at a low reasonable price. Glad you dig the beat🙏🏾💯
@@Yo_whatupwithyou Thanks bro. I’m new to this, just bought Koala and having fun with it. Thank you for the response. Merry Christmas!🎄
@ Merry Christmas Bro. Happy to help. Here’s a link demonstrating the midi mapping capabilities of the mpd32 with Koala. There’s some on eBay right now under $100.
Samplr is dope.
@@chocopower666 most definitely 💯

Can you do this but send the midi data out to a maschine plus?
@@novich63 if the maschine plus has midi in and out you should. I believe the maschine plus has midi in and out. I don’t have the maschine plus unfortunately
@Yo_whatupwithyou it does have both. I just don't know how to configure it, though. Should I set the maschine plus to midi in or midi out?
@ midi out if you want the maschine to be the controller. Midi in if you want something else to be in control.

@@Yo_whatupwithyou thanks man. Appreciate you
So the Move works well as a controller for Koala???
Yes but you need a dongle. I’m using the CME Widi bud pro. It won’t connect directly to the iPad or iPhone as an audio/midi device currently.
@@bjamminsincebirth3494 also only the pads work in midi. The knobs can’t be midi mapped in the current firmware I’m using.
Flames bro!
Appreciate you bro🙏🏾💯
Which one is the best?
@@yannickloosa9694 I like each one in their own way lol…no clear favorite at the moment
Finally, someone using move how i would
Most definitely dope for a quick cookup🙌🏾🙏🏾🤘🏾
Would be insane if Koala could sample Koala own Samurai sliced samples… 😮
Koala having midi out is game changing. It’s easily the smoothest piano roll on iOS with possible exception of Auxy but those guys decided not to allow midi out. This is a dream sequencer wow
@@Kpm1985 yeah it’s definitely dope to use and I’m finding new ways to produce with it.
Is this only available on tablet? Would I be able to do it on my phone?
@@AnotherBangaTV yes you can do this on your phone.
How U get the app to work with the module ?
@ midi out to module. You have to module already open to see it in koala. In module make sure the midi channel is set to the same channel you’re sending midi out in koala
I need to learn how to do this AUM but I am happy right now with controlling my hardware synths. Still learning AUM
@@jadanoliver6237 its pretty cool in AUM. I had some slight hiccups but it’s pretty easy. I’ll post a video showing a breakdown
@@jadanoliver6237 it’s is cool being able to sequence external gear. I used it with Ableton move and the op1 field
Koala has Ableton Link and so does Move. Why don’t you play Koala with Move’s pads and keep it all in time but putting them both in Ableton Link mode?
@@BeatsAndGuitars I have used Ableton link but I also like experimenting with different methods. I find using the keyboard layouts in Koala Sampler allows me to produce in ways that I couldn’t on Ableton Move’s pads. Particularly the sliding 808 bassline. I also used Ableton move to trigger sounds in Koala. Sometimes there was a slight latency especially when applying capture mode.
Awesome! Thanks for the demo. One question, Koala is sending out midi notes, but how does one record the audio back into koala? I can trigger sounds but they don't record.
@@ChrisRedwood I would recommend the apps, loopy pro, AUM, or Beatmaker3. You can also resample your audio. I’ll try and make a video on the process. Thanks for checking out the video.
I stepsequence my MC-505 with it. When I need the audio I sample the MC-505 back into Koala, using a usb compliant audio interface
Aye can you link the app you use to send the midi too?
@@YAMAMALUVMETOO they are currently running a Black Friday special so I would jump and get as many modules as you like. They also have a free 7 day trial on their modules so you can decide if you like them. apps.apple.com/us/app/korg-module-pro/id932191687

Let’s go! Nice rundown brother!
@@dzerobeatz thanks Joey🙏🏾💯🤘🏾
Tried it out today with the microfreak with a BT WIDI device attached worked great. Also wonder if it worked with the SP 404 MK2 in controller mode it works via the physical pads etc but obviously you can’t get the sound of the external instrument back into the SP404 in that mode !
Cool! Yeah this is definitely a dope update. Nice to be able to sequence external devices within the app especially those without midi sequencing built in.
Yea this is awesome news for my OP-1 😂 finally got a real piano roll 👍🏽. I was using the Z for this but now…….

Can the Move power the MPC Key Mini Plus?

2024
It definitely feels J dilla inspired. I like the harmonies and the slow down effects at the end. Keep at it bud.
I think it would've been way more interesting to see how you develop the idea from there and maybe see a B section or a bridge being made instead of just some effects
@@LuciSheppyLive thanks for the feedback. I was just experimenting and in the moment. This was created from passion vs being a completed arrangement.

Do you have any issues with crashing?
