Top 10 Most Dangerous Cities in the United States
Top 10 Most Dangerous Cities in the United States.
The USA is the land of the free and the home of the brave. But in some parts of the country, it also has some issues with violent crime.
Using figures from the FBI, we have measured and ranked our dangerous cities according to the number of serious felonies recorded per 100,000 people in one year. Violent crimes includes murder, manslaughter, assault and robbery.
The data from the last few years suggests that, on average, violent crime in the USA is falling. New technologies are being used to help make urban areas safer, with real-time crime maps and gun detection software. But for now, here are the most dangerous cities in the USA.

Housing is now unaffordable for the majority of people in Nova Scotia. Jobs are a rarity unless you know someone here who can ask another about possible job but he has to hire a family member. The Government ignores most of the province with the exception of the big city of Halifax and the rest get bread crumbs. I have had to live in apartments 80% of my life and i detest them. No chance of getting home now. Trenton sounds like a semi reasonable cost of living but still would be living in a reasonably priced apartment.

Costa Rica is 45% more expensive than Mexico and it is the second most expensive country in Latin America; Uruguay is the most expensive. I live in San Jose CR (5years retired), on $5,000 per mo almost paycheck to paycheck for a family of four. It’s as expensive as many parts in the States.

Been to sixty nine countries and I am in Costa Rica right now for the fourth time. It will be the last time! It has always been an expensive country for Latin America, but it has prices now that surpass many developed countries. It is not a developed country, but rather a developing country that excels in some aspects.

I've been living in Colombia for over 17 years and I can say it is a great place to live, so long as you don't live in the big cities. Medellin, Bogota, Cartagena are wall to wall people and a lot more expensive than living in one of the smaller towns not far away, like the San Nicolas Valley, where the Medellin International Airport is located. One caveat is that being able to speak Spanish is almost a necessity even in one of the large cities.

It's a first-world city that is more modern and eco than most US cities. the people are great, Food, Nightlife, Shopping. they have better malls in Medellin than in Los Angeles or Miami. The one across from my apartment is 5 floors with a Movie theater, Amusement park, Soccer, and volley ball on the roof, Gym, Shopping, Banks, a Grocery store, and Restaurants they even have car dealerships.

I don’t know if I believe any of these cities because I live in Prince Rupert and $340,000 gets you a “ fixer upper “ while1 bedroom apartments run several hundred dollars more than you suggest. Of all of these cities I think Vernon would be my choice but not if the true numbers are as out of touch as the Prince Rupert and Prince George numbers.

Real estate in Canada varies by region. However, following today's Bank of Canada rate cut to 4.5%, keep an eye on the market. With speculation about further reductions to 4% this year and 3% next year, will buyers continue to wait? As the market shifts, sellers may become more flexible on prices. For buyers, this is an opportunity to prioritize the most important factor in real estate: location. Remember the mantra: Location, Location, Location. In today's market, buyers can secure prime locations. If prices rise again next year and affordability becomes an issue, you'll wonder why you didn't act in 2024. While no one can predict the future, we can make informed decisions now. Always do what's best for you, but stay well-informed. #CristianEnache #Realtor #RealEstate #GTAOntario #Money

Smart people will find a reservation by a lake and depending on the land owner get some of the cheapest rent. Even when the government charges land taxes is still a lot cheaper.. Not everyone there rent cheap. Some know the land values some don't. A few people I know rent less than 25% of what the land is actually worth.

I moved to the Cowichan Valley from central Ontario two years ago. I've tracked all my expenses for years, so I will make a few informed comments. Property values are about the same if you leave Vancouver and Toronto out of the equation. The following items are more expensive in BC: gas, and most food items that are NOT locally made. Fish is fresher and cheaper, local eggs and beef are the same, and locally produced food from farms is about the same taking into account seasonal variations. Things that are cheaper than Ontario: car insurance, property taxes, heating costs. Also, snow removal cost is not an issue in the valley here. Cars, motorcycles and bikes last years longer here because of the mild climate. You don't need four seasons of clothing here, just spring - summer - fall. I haven't worn any of my Ontario boots, gloves, hats and coats since I moved here. Of course, I know that there are areas in the interior and in the north where everything is more expensive. But that's no different than Northern Ontario. I think it's inaccurate to paint ALL of any one province as being 'more expensive' than another. It really depends on where you choose to live in that province, and what your expectations are. All in all, I'll accept a slighly more expensive cost of living in BC any day given all the advantages of the climate, environment and people.

I wouldn't live in those city locations if you paid me. I have lots of land and nice home on the remote BC west coast, but fortunately there are not any properties for sale, so we can keep the trash out. People wait for someone to finally expire so they can buy their place. Actually had people ask about my Mom's property while she was still living in it! The coast has mild weather all year with a lot of rain and some storms, but I've always loved it. I can't handle the heat. We don't get smoked out with forest fires since the trees get plenty of water, so lots of healthy greenery. That is a bonus since I rarely have to water outside plants or the garden. We always have plenty of water too and can drink the water as is from the tap. Food costs a bit more but can compensate by going on the occasional shopping trip to a city to stock up, have a big garden, and do your own prepping/preserving/dehydrating/canning/freezing and vacuum sealing gear to do bags and jar preservation. There are a lot of personal greenhouses here too! I have a large pantry room, so very self-sufficient and it is actually rewarding to be able to do that with the fruit trees I also have. There are locals who keep chickens and sell their produce and eggs. Lots of mushrooms and berries to find, fishing and seafood in abundance and many people have their own boat or at least some fishing gear and a smoker to preserve it. Great location to have your own cottage industry, write, do and sell crafts and work from home too, so creative people live well here. Property taxes are low, police not in our community as we rarely have any crime (about 1 every other year to do with a break-in of one of the unoccupied seasonal homes by someone from another community), but extremely safe otherwise. People mind their own business but are more than willing to help anyone who needs it. It is great for the Do-It-Yourself type persons who are reasonably self-sufficient, but you don't have to be. Exactly where I am will remain a secret because we have enough trouble keeping folks away during the summer months. All full up, so visit and go away thanks.

BC is one of the worst places in Canada to live. There are no cheap places in this province. Everything is very expensive. 350000$ is not cheap.

Rents and home costs high and unemployment high. I have wanted to move home to New Glasgow … but things went crazy after COVID. The home costs they mention in this item re New Glasgow are so off the mark. $234,000 is not a very nice home requiring lots of work. Homes that I would buy are closer to $475,000

I'd tell you where the cheapest place to live in BC is but I don't want everyone moving here. I'll give you a hint though, it's not in southern BC, it's not in the Okanagan, and it's not on the coast. I bought a beautiful 5 acre treed property and built my own home and outbuildings, and I did it for a tiny fraction of the price of owning a crappy tiny apartment in the south. Yes there are bears and moose but if you respect them, they will respect you. People are afraid of the winter but I actually like the winter (my favourite season). I hike and ski as much as I want (which is a lot) and I never carry a rifle. There are drugs and crime here, but there are drugs and crime everywhere. There are plenty of idiots here, perhaps even a higher percentage than elsewhere, but there are so many fewer people here that the total number of idiots that you have to deal with day to day is much smaller. And the added bonus is no traffic issues. Moving away from Vancouver was the best decision I ever made (I grew up in Vancouver and it was a nice place to grow up and Vancouver can be a nice place to live out your life but only if you have way more money than I do and only if you want to spend way more hours working than I do).
