Thanks for taking time to check out my channel. I’m based out of Western New York, a lifelong hobby of mine has been photography and shooting video of various railroad operations.
I mostly have coverage of the regional Buffalo and Pittsburgh railroad and occasionally the plethora of class 1s in WNY.

WNYP OL-3 Emporium Turn Over Keating Summit 3.26.24 3 4 axle Alcos lead the Emporium turn, a not so common sight anymore. I would've preferred to seen the old 636s but the 4 axles will do for some sort of missed out compensation. With the WNYP scaling down their operations it was only best i make a trip south on the Buffalo Line

Good catch! While attending Penn State, I worked 3 summers ('68-'70) for the Penn Central on the Buffalo Line, from Emporium, Pa (hometown) north to past Franklinville, N.Y. In a recent issue of my hometown weekly newspaper, the following is mentioned in some news reprinted from April 1901: "The Pennsylvania railroad is using the block system the entire distance between Emporium and Harrisburg." What is the block system?

An old old buddy of mine used to railfan that crossing years ago. Cool to see how it looks now and that CSX still sends some great consists that way.
