Hello. I live in the U.K. and noticed black marks on all the three prongs of a plug I use to charge up a mobile phone and an iPad. I bought a new plug and charged up the devices in another socket, in another room, but black marks appeared on the new plug too. Do I have to get an electrician round? I am very anxious about doing so

How do I know if My receptacle is overloaded? Is there a way to measure or know the draw f things plugged in?
If your breaker is tripping, then your receptacle could be overloaded. Its one of the protection features.

Honestly, this is something I would get checked out immediately.
My outlets have a terrible odor coming out of them? What can I do?
This likely means smoke or arcing...I would call an electrician to come check it out immediately.
