C7.5 Audi S6 Climate control 6 to 8 ch recode to unlock all vents at the same time like a B5 A4/S4.

I missed this ability quite a bit in cold weather, nice to have warmth and flow everywhere. Actually saw the setting over a year ago when enabling Climate Styles for AC but it didn't click for me at the time what it was actually for. Another limitation removed, JD Powers surveys and the like have nothing to do with my selection. Also separately bumped auto fan speed one step up in adaptation, w...

Diamond cutoff wheel is a new addition, seems ok, but a little slow compared to the grind wheel IMO. 100 grit Grinding wheel and 320 grit side disc have been in service for over a year in an amateur shop. Sharpened hundreds of tungsten electrodes with no sign of wear. Have a 1000 grit disc on opposite side if I want a very fine polish. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0752XLB5P 100 grit wheel $50 www...

idealarc 250 load tests with and without PFC
What caused that?
Bad inner valve cover gasket around spark plug holes, part of full gasket kit. Replacement is doable in car without touching timing.
Hi ! I made the modification in my a6, but although I do have 8 options in the climate control panel below - on the mmi main display I still have only 6 vent combinations available and it does not match with the real setup. Any thoughts what went wrong?
MMI may need to sleep before it completely takes the new settings. Drove myself nuts at first going back and forth to make the video. Recall it being immediate when I first coded it though. If you ever do the park hold switch mod, coding for that just doesn't work at first, but if you shut down and lock the car, then come back an hour later it's fine.
@@tychlg I did the coding few weeks ago, or I would rather say someone did it for me, since than it is still like mentioned unfortunately
@@digidandan Odd, could be firmware level related, but don't have any further insight beyond what's in the video at this point.
I have rods of all sizes, but generally myself and most people run 3/32 or 1/8th rods for home use which tend to be ran around 85 (3/32) or 110 (1/8) and what we see here is that the amperage draw for these rods is a negative for users with PFC. You're only costing yourself money and pulling more amperage if you are running the typical home gamer rods if you use the PFC. For larger stuff the PFC can help you keep from popping a breaker in the surge absorption. Since the current stabilizes fairly quickly, I can't see a benefit for most users. When you get up above 1/8th rods if you have a weak breaker system it can definitely help.
The watts and thus costs drawn with and without pfc are pretty much the same, have to take into account the power factor shown on the meter. PF * A * V = W ; It's not pulling another 4300 watts at idle with PFC connected despite the apparent amps drawn. Other than at idle, PFC draws less current on this particular model. For home use it doesn't matter unless your supply is current limited, or if using a very long run of wire. As you mention, in this case PFC means 1/8" rod can be comfortably run on a 30a breaker. PFC NO PFC IDLE 24.75A 6.85A 50A 17A 20A 75A 16A 25A 100A 20A 38A 125A 26A 46A
Jesus. I left mine on for 20 hours accidentally the other day, with PFC. costs me more than air conditioning the house.
It's not as bad as it looks, the power factor at idle is about 0.07, which is horrible, but really brings the watts down. 238.3*24.71*.071= 418 watts 418/1000*20 = 8.36KW/h Assuming $0.15 a KW/h, that 20 hours of idle time cost $1.25. If it was actually a power factor of 1, it would have been $17.67 for the same 20 hours, ooof. I make no claims as to the accuracy of the meter, but the readings are in the ball park.
I like it, thank you for putting this video up. Guess my next clamp meter needs to be AC/DC clamp. Was just looking at meters at Home depot, their true RMS clamp meter is $20 more. L will have to go a bit further than Home Depot to get DC function Thanks again, Dave
Thank you! I've been happy with the Mastech meter, originally got it as a knockabout for the boat toolbox but it's become my go to meter, also have a more expensive Fluke 376, it doesn't come out of the case much any more except as a sanity check. The DC amp capability is very useful for troubleshooting charging and starting issues. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KFLSXAI One review says it doesn't have a zero button, but that's what the "REL" button is for.
Did you run two different Idealarc welders? or just disconnect the caps?
Same welder, had the cover off and connected/disconnected the cap wires for each amperage level.
great video thanks for posting
