The InstaDeck and deck boards are rated at 100 pounds per square foot live load, so it would depend how much the shed weighs.

InstaDeck can be installed on any flat, level surface. So if it is level, then yes.

Angles other than a 90 would need to be double posted.

This gate is made to fit a 36” opening. At 37.5 you would be past the capability that the hardware can accommodate. We’d suggest one of the below gate kits. They work for up to a 48” finished opening and can be cut down to fit your smaller 37.5” opening. The height cannot be modified. The gate is 34” tall. If you need to remove your trim ring, you can pull it apart with some excess force and/or carefully pry with a tool.

@@BarretteOutdoorLiving Terrible customer service on this issue.Installed a good size deck then onto stair railing and only way we found out it doesn't work is this post.Two weeks and still don't have parts.You should update your directions for contractors.Other than that you have a great product

Use the clutch on drill, too much torque is snapping your stuff, be sure not to move , bend, as you drill go dead straight through out the entire drill session.. if you start the drill bit then bend a little” snap” .. it’s all easy if you control your moves…

Hi there, The gate is made for a 36" finished opening. And yes, the posts need structural support like a piece of wood or our structural post.

The main intent of this product is to be installed over a hard surface such as concrete, a waterproof membrane, hard pack sand, or on a level grass surface. There would be concern about the condition of the existing wood deck and the potential for there to be trapped water over time that could result in rot.

Why isn’t there a stair to flat rail post and coordinate cap?

Any level post can be used at the top of the stairs. The cap that completes this transition is included with the bottom stair post.

In terms of strength, we’ve done testing to a 6” x 24” surface area and applied 6,000lbs without any issues to the InstaDeck. Hope this helps.

Yes it can. Because both the InstaDeck tiles and compatible DuraLife deck boards are made from polypropylene, the product is very thermally stable and has minimal expansion and contraction. As a part of the code approval process, the deck boards are tested at -20 degrees Fahrenheit and 125 degrees Fahrenheit.

Yes, this can be installed over grass as long as it is flat and level. We also recommend adding a weed barrier underneath if you are installing on that type of surface.

The InstaDeck tiles should be installed on a flat surface and be fully supported, ie ground, paver base, or concrete. The DuraLife composite deck boards that are used with this are tested at -20F and +125F. We have installations all over the US, Canada as well as parts of Australia and our decking performs well in all conditions from cold to high heat. The screws are longer for the top rails since they’re used through the brackets to lock on the top cap from the brackets through the top rail.

The Frame Kits cannot be stacked. The Decorative Screen Panels can be stacked within them, up to three 2' x 4' panels or two 3' x 6' panels.
