What if there's too much smoke and you can't see the hoseman and his position?

What type of workouts along with flexibility and mobility exercises do you recommend for the movements?

Flowing water at half bale and moving is actually for the 2.5 to allow it to bend easier . Not saying you can’t for the 1 3/4 . But the real reason to be at half bale is for the 2.5. The 1 3/4 is full flowing with the knee walk or hip grip.

Good Stuff, only thing I would add is make sure you don't have a huge kink in that first coupling at the door @9:10 which would significantly restrict reach (pressure) and flow (gallonage). Thanks for the video

Whats the reason to flow and move forward at the same time? Other than flashover smoke you wouldn’t want to put water on smoke only right? And if there was fire above you you wouldn’t pass it, you would hit it as soon as you saw it when coming into the space. If the heat is so great that you couldn’t move through it without doing this, wouldn’t that tell you its a possible flashover and wouldn’t you need more water than just a couple whips from the nozzle and moving past it? Thanks for your help, great video

The flow toward the ceiling would disrupt that thermal layer and gases preventing flashover.

Why is there a handle if your just going to wiggle it around??? Not thinking the 3 feet of extra "reach" makes a difference......

Choking on the hose specific the pistol grip reduces mobility and nozzle spray pattern majorly. Grabbing further back make sit easier to combat nozzle reaction force and drive it into the ground vs straight back. 1 3/4 hose can have 80lb of NR with a fog nozzle. Pistol grips are handy for car and trash fires when the hose is going to be under pumped and placed on top your shoulder.
