STUNNING Balloon Wedding Dress/Wedding Gown Tutorial
Balloon Wedding Dress
Supplies:
1 half mannequin with stand (purchased off of eBay)
1 Medium size White Corset
1 necklace of your choice
Fishing Line
12 in White Balloons
12 in Pearl White Balloons
12 in Clear Balloons
12 in Swirl Balloons from Party City (Optional)
5 in White Balloons
5 in Pearl White Balloons
5 in Clear Balloons
Steps:
You will make 4 garlands in different sizes. Using the duplet and quad method to build a garland. Add enough quads to make the dress as wide or narrow as you want it to be.
1st garland for the bottom layer of the dress, inflate balloons 7.5 inches
2nd garland inflate balloons to 6.5 inches
3rd garland inflate balloons to 5.5 inches
4th garland (goes around the waist) inflate balloons about 4 inches
Once each garland is complete, you will connect the ends to form a circle around the mannequin with the fishing line. Next, add the 2nd layer, and using the fishing line, connect it to the 1st layer pulling tight but not too tight to keep from popping any balloons. Repeat the method until all layers have been attached an secured in place. Make sure to fill in any gaps by closing them with fishing line or adding an additional balloon in that spot.
You can add the corset first as a measuring guide for how far the balloons should go around the waist.
Train Optional:
Add tulle or any white sheer fabric to make a train if you desire, by just tucking it through the balloons on the backside of the mannequin.

How to sublimate on Glitter Gift Bags
Переглядів 12 тис.4 роки тому
I finally did it! Made my very 1st DIY video. Some in my FB groups have asked if I could make a video of how I sublimated the Glitter Gift Bags so here is my DIY Glitter Bag Debut. 😊
Thank you. This was very helpful.
Hello! What brand is your heat press? I think it's time for me to upgrade from my 15x15. Thank you for the video!
How long was each of your garlands?
Wow I love it! I am a newbie to sublimation printing. Your video was perfect!❤
Does the brand type of balloons matter?
@user-ym6ft6sg4p it doesn't. However, I will always recommend high-quality balloons.
So beautiful how much would you sell that for?
Great job!! I am inspired 🎉
Absolutely stunning!! ❤
Very beautiful
Very helpful. Thanks
You gave an excellent tutorial. I plan on trying this. Thank you
Have your tried silver or gold
How long did this take you
Love love love your tutorial! Going to attempt to make one. How many of each balloon would you guesstimate you used?
🎉
OH my this gorgeous makes me want to get a mannequin in play with it with some balloons
Absolutely beautiful. Great job💓💯
How long did it take to do this please?
I prep all the balloons ahead of time. It can be built on site in about an hour. It depends on how much details you are adding to it.
This is gorgeous. How much would you charge for this?
Starting price is $450
Are you making your quads with a set of white and a set of pearl?
Thank you for sharing 😊😊😊😊
Soo beautiful.
How soon would you recommend doing this in advance? Amazing work…
You can do the garlands the night before your event.
Making this for a shower on Saturday. How does it attach to the mannequin? I have seen that someone else asked this also but I have not seen your reply. If someone could reply I would be very appreciative. Thank you.
When you connect each layer of garlands in a circle and tie them all together. The last roll is the roll that will wrap securely around the waist of the mannequin. You will use fishing line or 260s to make sure that top layer is tight around the waist. The balloons will stay in place because they are stacked to each other. I hope this helps.
I'll be doing this next weekend. I've practiced twice, but I don't think I'm making my garlands long enough because I'm not getting the asymmetrical effect. Also, my sizer is whole sizes, and I've been making 7,6,5, and 4" balloons. Any suggestions?
Thank you for viewing my video. I would make sure your bottom garland of 7in balloons is long enough to be wider at the bottom. Then, with your 2nd tier, use the 6in size balloons to also wrap around on top of the bottom layer. Make sure you keep the balloons tight without having gaps. Your garlands will start getting shorter as you continue up to the waist. I hope this helps.
@@soarballoonsnmore9958 yes, thank you. I did everything you said, but I'm still practicing. Show time is Saturday. Pray for me😅😄

How many balloons total did you use?
Hello! I'm getting ready to do this project for the first time and wanted to know if there is anything that is holding the balloons to the mannequin? While the bottom layers are loose and wide, how is the top layer sticking to the mannequin bodice? Thanks for your assistance in advance! 🥰
This is absolutely beautiful! I wish I would've had this tutorial in time for my niece's wedding. What a wonderful dress! This tutorial is definitely going in my favorites! Can this dress be made with Link balloons?
Hi Tracy, thank you for your kind words. I would think you can use link balloons. You will just need to make sure you fill in all gaps.
