Just wanted to know that should i submit my SAT score?( I got SAT: 1450; R&W: 670; Math Section: 780) because i know its test optional. And i dont need to give eng prof test as i studied in English medium as an international student but do you think a good eng prof test score will compensate for my low R&W SAT score? Your answer would be very appreciated.
i'm gonna be honest with you, i don't really know 😭 i will say a lot of colleges, including nyu, are mainly worried about your superscore. i honestly don't know if they even look at the individual scores of the sat/act, but most people seem to focus on their overall score, so in theory the fact that you got a lower reading and writing score shouldn't matter. but if you have a really good english proficiency test you should definitely submit that! but this is all my opinion, so please take it with a grain of salt 😭😭

this made me feel a lot better watching someone get into nyu without outrageous stats (without making their own nonprofit, clubs, flying to rural mongolia to teach english to little kids, interning at nasa)

Theres so much thats goes into being accepted into a school like ur gpa, test scores, classes that u took, extracurriculars, community service, its a lot so if anyone is doubtful about anything they didnt do well in just apply u never know a school could want you because you excelled at something they were looking for

I'm an international student. Can I apply to NYU before finishing high school by taking GED test? Even that'll be hard cuz we don't have a test center. Now what do I do? 😭
i wish i could answer that, but honestly i'm not too sure. all i know is that you have to have proof that you've finished high school/secondary school or are on track to finish before the semester you plan on enrolling for. i'm sure if you look on the nyu website you could find a more helpful answer 😭

@@chelzeeluv don’t be sorry i know exactly how you feel! i didn’t write follow up emails, but me and this teacher had a good relationship, so there were times where we would see each other at school and kind of talk about how everything was going with the letter or my application

you should write abt whatever you feel you can get the most out of. so just pick whichever you feel like you can write a lot abt, but also something that reflects who you are. it’s not abt what you write, but how you write it!
I got a B during my sophomore year in ap gov for a whole semester and then a B in H chemistry for the first quarter (I was struggling through shit I swear I’m not making this up LMAO) and I’m scared they’re gonna reject me for that LOL 😂 (that’s the only B’s I’ve gotten in high school rn) 💀
well u need to remember that they don’t just judge based on grades! and as long as your gpa is still high then you shouldn’t stress! plus i personally think your junior and senior year grades matter the most bc it’s a reflection of your most recent self! :)

i’m sure you’d be able to get financial aid, but i don’t know about a full scholarship. that’s definitely something you should look into on your own because i really don’t know too much about it 😭
