    See how uninterested the man with the beard is, sitting there the whole time playing on his phone. Typical of government heads not interested in anything except what directly effects them. These people used to be called "section heads". I used to cal then "Suction Heads".

    Centrelink needs to get off it's lazy backside and do the work the government has an obligation to provide Australians. We DON'T need an overseas and possibly CIA infiltrated company to take over control of Australian's welfare troubles, especially when most of it is caused by the non professional attitude and lack of service from those already paid to do such work.

  • @bunyinjbhadi7212

    People who are basically LAZY are those who outsource!! Australia's workforce suffers when overseas companies take over the work.

    I really don’t see why they require to outsource. The money they are paying to the company could have been spent employing extra staff in Centrelink

    If someone works and earns a coin, to have that coin then forcibly taken from them, whether under coercion or threat of violence or not, to pay another is modern slavery by any stretch of imagination. This must be condemned unequivocally.... Australia's taxation system is involuntary. Peoples money is taken forcably by the state without consent. Will labor advocate making tax payments voluntary? Or does labor support this modern form of slavery?

    so 50m to give to a security company? you have to train them in centrelink protocol. nobody asked the question"why arent these jobs being offered to recipients"? they want to keep their secrets to themselves? it only makes sense when you realise centrelink have a "set them up to fail " policy. frustrate them off the phone is one..now do you get it?.

    Mass shooting deaths don't even make up 2% of gun homicides. Suicides make up the vast majority ~65% of gun deaths. Handguns are used to take 7.1k Next method of homicide would be knives. Unarmed homicides are in 3rd place in terms of body count above that of any long gun. -FBI UCR/CDC Mass shootings aren't a priority in terms of body count that is reserved for gun suicides, gun homicides and then knives. People have a right to their opinion (at least in America) that is the democratic process.

    Before blaming Israel for Crimes... Arabs in Arab Countries, Killed Palestinian 100 time more than Israel! King Hussein of Jordan killed 18.000 in Black September, Pres. Assad in Syria killed 8.000, in 2007 Hamas in Gaza killed 3.000 Fatah members, Lebanese Christian militia killed 1.000 in Sabra & Shatila, etc. So...stop your lies!

      By your reasoning Israel shouldn't be held responsible for their crimes against humanity because other groups or countries have also committed atrocities, by that reasoning it is OK to commit murder because other people have committed murder - so don't criticize me if I commit murder!!! Also you mentioned the Lebanese Christian Militia massacre of 1700 Palestinians at the Sabra and Chatila refugee camps, The Kahan Commission held the then defense minister Ariel Sharon personally responsible, since he sent the ruthless anti-Palestinian Phalangists into the camps. Sharon lost his job because of this but later became prime minister. Elie Hobeika, the Lebanese Christian militia leader, led his murderers into the camp after Sharon had told the Phalange that Palestinians had just assassinated their leader Bashir Gemayel, which was a lie just to incite them as Bashir Gemayel was murdered years later in east Beirut. The Israeli army sent the killers into the camps and then watched - and did nothing - while the atrocity took place. Israel is a rogue state that daily commits crimes against humanity

    thanks Lisa - great speech -so sensible. Our govt. ignores public opinion at its peril. It's shameful that Australia continues to be U.S. lapdog, doing exactly what is demanded by their govt. ...even to actively undermining the negotiations. Thanks to ALP for being firm on this issue.

    Damn the Republic. We have too many un-elected bureaucrats in this country. We do not wish to become a Republic that would have an un-elected Head of Government that would surely want more power invested in that office. At the moment the Governor General does an excellent job and allows the legislature to rule in its own right!

  • @Ruin0rRapture
    @Ruin0rRapture 11 років тому

    The only reason I would consider a republic is so that our head of state was an Australian. But id be afraid to mess with the current political system. Who would be the new president? How would they be selected? What powers would they have? Our current head of state is largely symbolic. Would a new president be a largely symbolic or would they have much bigger role?

    I was 16 when the referendum was taking place. I was too young to vote but honestly back then I would have voted to stay a part of the monarchy. Know why? I liked the idea of kings and queens. That's it. It was an ignorant, immature kid and unfortunately there are a lot of adults that still think in this manner. I would vote for a republic these days as long as its constitution was something like the US constitution. I want Australia to have its balls back and be rid of all this over regulation.
