Great recreation of a silent movie, but I think the format is a distraction from the story. When a silent movie was what people expected to see, it was one thing, but when a modern audience watches a silent movie, the format, rather than the story, becomes the focus. I would do a Call of Cthulhu set in the 1930s but with sound and color.

Lei por ahí que la escena originalmente era sobre mear, pero a la 2da toma se quedó sin orina así que decidió cagar.

but the breadth of the dark deepness was unheard. how could any folk fathom the furriness and loathing of the unspoken monstrosity... the upturning richness of the horrible abyss was maddening !!! and as such.. Cthulhu waits in a strange, queer unknown place lost from man in past time...

Not perfect but pretty good movie that shows you don't need a big production/budget/studio to make a faithfull adaptation of a Lovecraft storry. And Cthulhu bless the HPLHS for creating intertitels in 24 languages. For everyone who understands german i made a review of it on my channel with a full pictured summary. Also in black and white. But not silent. I talk. A lot. Even longer than the movies runtime.

I'm hoping they make a real nice kick-ass remake of the book.
