This is a wonderful stitch to add to your knowledge of crochet. It works up fast but doesn't eat up your yarn. It will give your work a different look without having to learn a bunch of complicated stitches!

This pattern was made by Lara crochet/knit on tiktok! She was awesome enough to allow me to make this video to show people these adorable coasters! If you're not following her, you should be! For this pattern, I used 4 wt. acrylic yarn, H hook, scissors, and a smaller hook for weaving in ends.

    The extra piece of yarn that u cut off from the magic circle, how do u secure it before cutting? Mine is coming loose and im scared that it will open up later

      There should be 13 double crochet on the sides

    i swear im the only person having trouble with this. the skull i felt was super easy, the best skull tutorial i've seen but when i come to adding the second colour to make it a square, i seem to be a stitch short eventhough i'm pretty sure i followed the tutorial exactly as you said 😭😭

      i felt like that too at the start, then i just kept going to see if i could find where it was wrong, 2 wonky squares later and the 3rd one came out good xD ive noticed that whenever the round where you do only dubbel crochets it ends up beeing 13 stitches per side :)

    You should have given Jayda in Stitches credit for this pattern because this is exactly her mini pumpkin tuturial from 3 years ago, almost verbatim. Not cool.

      Yes, yes, yes! Your so right!! Im new to this and didnt realize at the time that this wasnt just making a pumpkin. Your very right ive followed her patterns for awhile and had just pulled it out of my pattern book. Im very sorry. I have been giving credit now. I just have no way to edit the video or description.

Not unless we’ve already seen the other creators video or you mention it, either in your video or in the video description.     Definitely going to make this guy after I'm done with the bear I'm making. I honestly want to thank you for your videos. Yours specifically is what gave me the confidence to try an advanced pattern on day 4 of crocheting I think I'm on like day 6 but it's so much fun and I think my bear is turning out very well!

      @jenniferarmock8417 you could use mabe black yarn and sew on eyes and a mout embroidery style. But snap on eyes wont be possible

I get the basic stitching (the single and double idk names of them) now I'm just not very good at the tightness of which I'm making things so it's not too tight to do more stitches but not just all loose. Also my magic circle doesn't want to circle it wants to curl and im left handed.
